"All that money that we spent on the alarm system. Seems a waste now." Rory stared at the panel which showed that it was off.
"I don't know. It will come in handy when we go on holiday. Tom should be here soon."
"It'll be interesting to hear what happened with Abby."
"That sounds like a car now. Go and let him in."
Tom accepted the offer of a cup of coffee and then took Conor off of Nina. He was quite happy to hold the baby for a while.
Once they had all settled, the details of Abby's confession were discussed.
"She had been caught committing a crime. I think she realised, more or less, straightaway that it would be pointless trying to deny what she had been doing. After being in a cell for a few hours, she was ready to give a full statement. She couldn't remember dates, but she had a rough idea how many times she had done it.
