Sera bumps into several people on her way to John's dorm room.
Meanwhile with Isen.
Cecile: Oh Isen, I wanted to ask you about something.
Isen: Yeah sure, what's up?
Cecile: Well, my sources tell me that our little friend has, well let me put it this way, How does Shadow King sound?
Isen: Uhh, what do you mean?
Isen asks in confusion.
Cecile in her head: John, you can't use your powers in school because then you would be exposed. So now you'll have to confront me as a cripple, and I will have my powers. Looks like your dead meat, then all I have to do is just move...
Some people walk by Cecile and Isen.
Oh my God, he was too young.
Ember will pay, the authorities have to do something about them now.

Cecile in her head: What's going on? What are they-?
John puts on his mask.
John: Alright Isen, where are your coordinates?
Isen: Uh I'm outside the science build-
John: Shit, she heard him!
John rushes to the top of the dorms. Blyke follows suit.
Blyke: You need me to cover you on the roof?
John: No, you'll just expose yourself, I'll use your ability.
Blyke: Okay then.
Isen: Hey, listen Cecile, we can-
Isen sat on the ground with his wrists bound by Cecile's wires.
Cecile: Dammit, this was a trap, John was, John-
Cecile looks at her phone, the headline reads.
Breaking news, The Golden God found dead in an alleyway.
Cecile: No no no, this can't be happening!
Cecile scrolls through her news feed.
Cecile in her head: So, he wants to see how I fight, but he's gonna do a ranked match, he'll copy my ability allowing him to sense all my suits weaknesses when we fight. NO I CAN'T!
John jumps down right next to Cecile. Kids look around to see Cecile standing off against the "new kid". Cecile freezes in fear, kids comment on the situation.
Cecile: Hello?
The new kid powers up, his eyes glow Black, with white in the center. His skin turns Black to, surrounded by a white lining. He stood with a black mask similar to what robbers wore except made of a smoother cheaper material than wool.
Cecile in her head: Oh shit, this is John's backup persona, only top tier criminals know about this, they call it…..
John stood in a spider-man like position, standing up while his upper arms mimicked the pose.
The Dark Knight.
John Uses Cecile's ability, he wraps her around in his wire, then using Blyke's ability he grabs her forehead and charges a laser up. Cecile in that moment, knew she was defeated.
Cecile: Oh shit, I can't break free, his wires are somehow stronger.
The Dark Knight: Well now, look what we have here.
Isen runs away as Cecile's ropes untie Isen.
Cecile: What do you want J...
The Dark Knight suddenly throws all his wires at her like daggers, her eyes widen as she knew what was to come.
John in his head: Well then, this was a waste of time, but at least now I can use my powers around the school. Didn't think she'd be that easy. She must have known what my plan was, so she took a fall to protect her identity, smart.
The Dark Knight heads back up on the roof with Blyke, who watched the whole thing go down.
Blyke: What the...
John: Let's get out of here, I have what I want.
John takes off his mask, his eyes glow black with White pupils.
Worthless trash, were his last words he murmured under his breath.
Meanwhile with Sera.
Sera, No, this can't be real. John-
Sera calls John's number, no response.
Sera: Dammit, I'll go to his dorm, there's no way it can be real.
Student 1: Jeez that can't be real.
Student 2: What do you mean? That looks pretty real to me.
Sera runs into the boys dorm ignoring all the gosip around her, putting out the fire that was her anxiety by cutting off its supply. .
John: I'm gonna head back into our room.
Blyke: Hey, John?
John: Yeah?
Blyke: This isn't you just changing right?
John: What do you mean?
Blyke: Dude, you just broke Cecile, like really badly, on top of that your powers look more-
John: Blyke I'm fine.
John says interrupting.
Blyke: Sorry, I just, so much just happened the past thirty minutes, and I'm not sure if I like it.
John: What do you think people's reactions are gonna be?
Blyke: Nothing good can come from this, I can feel it.
John looks back at Blyke with a dirty look.
Blyke: I- I'll be at Isen's.
John jumps off the roof and heads into the dorms, he heads back up to his room.
Blyke: Yeah, see you later bud.
John in his head: Dammit, I didn't get any confirmed info on Ember. Why did I Knock her out like that? It's fine, I know who she is. I know her weakness, I know what to do tonight.
John's door slams open.
Sera: Blyke, John's.....!
John rushes out of the bathroom and sees Sera on her knees tearing up.
Sera: Blyke?
John: Sera what happened? Are you okay?!
Sera looks to her left in shock, John's voice brought a huge wave of emotions in her. He then goes and hugs Sera, he holds her tight like a teddy bear before suddenly Sera slaps him hard.
John: Oww, what the.
Sera: How could you?! I was so worried!
John in his head: Dammit, I did this, I forgot to text her. How could I be so stupid and put someone I love in a state like this?
Sera goes back to hugging John.
Sera: Why John, what was that about?
John: Sera, I.... I didn't mean to scare you, I had to fake my death so I can use my powers on campus.
John looks down ashamed.
Sera: Why?
Sera asks, almost heartbroken.
John: I need to catch Cecile in the act as "The Bounty Huntress", and in order to do that I needed to copy her ability.
Sera: Don't EVER scare me like that again, do you understand?!
John: Sera, I'm so sorry, I would never do that to you on purpose.
Sera: John, are you giving up The Golden God stuff?
John: What, no why would I?
Sera starts to cry a little more.
John: Sera, you're never like this, you're always so tough and badass, what happened?
Sera: Well, I just don't get it, why did I lose my powers, why me, what did I do to deserve this? And now you're becoming this new persona. So much is happening and I don't like it!
John: Hey now just take a deep breath and calm down.
Sera: John, I just got a call, they said it might be, per-
John cuts her off.
John: NO, it's not, okay, I'll give you mine if I have to.
Sera: John what are you talking about?
John: I'll do whatever it takes to make you happy, I don't ever wanna see you cry like this. Maybe I can make a drug with my aura or something but we will figure this out.
John wipes Sera's tears away. Sera shoves John onto his bed with her on top. Another tear drops under John's eyes, making him look like he too is crying.
John: Sera, what are you?
Sera: John, I thought you were gone. I lived a life for a couple minutes, without you.
John puts his hands on Sera's face. Sera takes John and pulls him up, burying his face in her neck as the two embrace and share a hug. It was at this moment that the two felt something for each other, something big. John's heart starts to race. Sera feels it in her heart too. The two stare into each other's eyes for a solid minute.
Sera: John, I just wanna stay like this. Make sure you don't start to disappear.
John: Me too.
The two hug tight for another five minutes when Sera's phone starts to ring.
Sera: Oh shoot, hey, I gotta take this.
John: Yeah, go for it.
Sera leaves the room for a moment.
John in his head: Damn phone!
He sighs from guilt as he misses Sera's warm embrace.
Sera: Hello?
Fyora: Miss Seraphina, it's about time. I called you days ago.
Sera: Look whatever it is, tell mom I said no.
Servant: Miss that's not why I called you, I wanted to inform you that the authorities stopped by this morning and wanted to know about your whereabouts. They will be conducting an interview with you on your current thoughts on the book UnOrdinary. Please prepare yourself.
Sera: Oh uh, Thank you.
The servant hangs up.
Sera in her head:What the heck why do they want me? What threat am I?
Sera: Well, I'll be heading back to my room now.
John: Yeah, see you later Sera.
The two blush as Sera leaves, she opens the door to find Blyke entering the room.
Sera runs down the halls.
Blyke: Woah, she's excited.
John: Hehe, yeah.
Blyke: Yooo Johnny boy, I see you.
John: Nononono, it's not like that, I-
Blyke: Dude, I told you who I liked, now you gotta admit you like Sera.
John: I gotta do some "Dark Knight stuff".
Blyke: Woah, you're going out as him. What about the Golden God?
John in his head: Ha idiot, that was easy. Throwing him off I mean.
John: Patience my friend, I'm actually just testing the costume. I'm gonna catch Cecile in school. Her equipment is too hard to deal with, it messes with my equipment and stuff.
Blyke: So, Sera?
John in his head: FUCK!
John: CHILL!
Meanwhile with Cecile, her and some other students are meeting in the press room.
Cecile: Okay I have a job for y'all.
Wenqi: Well what's in it for us?
Tanner: Relax, what do you want?
Cecile: I get to run your little mafia group, this is a rank match.
Tanner: Huh?
Cecile ties Tanner up, Rouker fires missiles at Cecile, Cecile doges them and stabs Rouker. Krolik fires a laser but Cecile manages to tie him up with her ropes. Wenqi and Illena both rush Cecile. Cecile subdues them both with some combat training she was taught.
Cecile: Now then you have all day in the infirmary to think about your decision, if I'm not your leader by then, I'll have no choice then to report you all to the Headmaster. I would choose wisely.
Cecile leaves the room.
Wenqi: Dammit, why the hell does she want in on this? She's a high tier.
Tanner: It doesn't matter, she might help us get around the school better, besides she did win.
Tanner: Yeah psh, lemme think.
Hours later.
Cecile walks back into the room.
Cecile: Good, you guys ready? Here's what I want. Cecile pulls in Juni and a couple of other kids.
The next day.
Blyke: Yo John, wait up.

John bumps into two other students, Hower and Lin.
John: Listen guys I don't want any trouble okay!
John tilts his head and lets a red laser scratch heat palms.
Hower: Ouch! What the hell...
Blyke: Who said you could start a fight?!
The two kids run away in fear.
Blyke: Aw Jesus John, why are you always attracting attention?
John: It's not my fault everyone sucks around here.
Blyke: Yeah whatever, come on let's meet up with Isen.
John: It was Zeke I bet, that asshole is sending people after me.
Blyke: Jeez, maybe that was what the headmaster was talking about with Arlo.
John: What that gang shit, naw man Arlo made that up so he could send people after me to get me back in the hierarchy.
Blyke: No man we actually have a problem, Arlo came to me first because I'm next in line.
John: Wait, you're serious?!
Blyke: Yup. Not lying cause trust me I would agree with you, he's sometimes just a poopy head with a fork.
Isen joins in on the three. They argue which is better, Fall Guys or Among Us for the rest of the walk to school.
Meanwhile with Sera.
Sera in her head: Dammit, it's been over four days and still nothing is coming back!
Juni in her head: Okay, there she is, it's gonna be okay, just gotta...
Juni then takes a deep breath before clenching her fist with the rock, her eyes glow a bright gold as she winds her arm back and releases the rock. It flies over to Sera, slamming her forehead as the skin breaks and blood rushes out her head. As Sera puts her hand on her forehead to stop the bleeding people already take notice.
Oh my God Sera's bleeding!
What the fuck?!
Juni runs up to Sera.
Juni: Oh my God, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hit you, I was just practicing and...
Sera: It's fine, no worries.
Sera in her head: No! People are all around me, why the hell would that girl throw a rock at...wait a sec, she works for the press.
John in Sera's head: When you fall, people become cruel.
Sera in her head: I gotta get out of here.
Sera rushes to the infirmary.
Sera: Morning doc.
Doc: Jeez, what happened?
Sera: Yeah my ability didn't return, so I'll need some help.
Doc: Well you could at least wipe off all the blood.
John is in the corner from a fight earlier that day.
John in his head: Wait, Sera?
John: Heyoo!
Doc: John, BED!
Sera: Oh hey.
John sees the wound on Sera's forehead, everything around him goes dark, his eyes narrow, out of the corner of the room Joker appears.
Joker: Johnny boy, whatcha gonna do?
John: What the?
Joker: Saw that stunt you pulled with The Golden God, now you're The Dark Knight, I kinda like that better, it's more...
John: What do you want?
Joker: To see the one you love get HURT because of your impatience, you really think that using your powers will do shit, you still need to put on the mask in some corner, gonna go find a telephone booth every time you wanna play superman?!
Joker fades away.
John: Sera.
Sera: Yeah John.
John: Who did this to you?
Sera: I don't know, some nobody with green buns, I only recognized her because she works for the press.
John in his head: Cecile, you cowardly BITCH, so you think you can make Sera a weakness of mine? I'll show you what happens.
Sera: Yeah well it's not like it matters, I already knew...
John: Sera, stop brushing it off like this is nothing, this isn't a fucking joke, you see these bruises?! I've had these for the past fucking year, people target me because I can't fight back, and now there gonna know about your ability compromise! It hurts SERA, EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME IT HURTS!
Sera: But no matter how many times you go down you always get back up, you never let it get to you. You're always so strong about it too. I wanna be just like that, who cares if this world is cruel, it's my home too, let's just get all poetic and shit. Nothing in this life matters!
John sighs before he starts to get up.
Sera: Hey, where are you going?
John: I'm gonna have a talk with Cecile.
Sera: Why?
John: Cause I have a feeling she's behind that girl throwing the rock at you.
Arlo is walking through the hallways. The past month flashes in his head.
Remi in flashback: Arlo, he's dead.
Arlo: WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE'S DEAD?!
Remi: Please stop asking, I really can't handle this right now. I just thought I would let you know because he always cared for you, you were like his little brother.
Arlo starts to tear up.
Arlo: WHAT ABOUT OUR BET?! WHAT ABOUT OUR DAMN REMATCH?! HE PROMISED!
Remi: Arlo please.
She says on the verge of tears.
Arlo: How am I supposed to feel better after hearing that, Remi, WHAT ABOUT MY REMATCH the bet, HE CAN'T JUST LEAVE US LIKE THAT!!!!
Arlo in his head: I'll kill you!
Arlo thought those three words all the way up till he felt himself crushing Rein's frail body into the ground.
Present day.
Arlo: Rei, why did you have to become a superhero, you freaking idiot, and why is Ember going around only targeting high tiers?
John bumps into Arlo.
Arlo: You, I thought we were done?
John: Meet me up on the roof in fifteen minutes.
John walks away, his eyes glowing black and white.
John in his head: Joker, you better not pull any fast ones up there.
Joker: Relax boy, I'm just giving you the gun that is my power, it's how you use it that defines you. HAHAHAHAHAHA!
