Chapter 4 - Chapter Two-

Gabe's POV

I walked out to my car, bag in hand. I was supposed to be watching over a twenty- seven year old veteran. I was looking for a side job when I saw the ad. Apparently, the guys son, Oliver Stye, had bad PTSD and nightmares. I've met the man who posted the ad, Casey Stye, and he seemed like a nice man. He said Oliver was stubborn and hard to get close to, but once he got to know me better, he would open up. This is what I had in mind when I double checked the address, before going down the secluded driveway. About two miles down I smelled lasagna cooking. A minute later I was at a stop in front of a beautiful house that looked like it had become one with the forest around it. I grabbed my bag and opened the car door. Walking up the steps to the front door, it opened to reveal Mr. Stye, standing there looking a little stressed.

"Hello, Mr. Firise, thank you so much for coming on such short notice, they decided to call me in early and I didn't want to leave him alone," Mr. Stye said, nervously rubbing the back of his neck.

"Oh that's ok, Mr. Stye, I was anticipating meeting him for a while now," I said.

"Oh please, call me Casey," Mr. Stye... Casey said, waving his hand in dismissal. He let me in and, damn, this house was nice. Everything was spotless. There was a huge flat screen in front of a big, dark grey couch. The carpet was a midnight blue, and the walls were black, white and grey. Casey walked over to the big kitchen and opened the oven. The smell of lasagna hit me harder then it had outside. It smelled amazing.

"You're a good cook, Casey," I stated in amazement.

"Haha, Ollie actually made this, all I did was put it in the oven and cook it," Casey said, chuckling as he put the pan on top of the oven. "He can cook better then I ever could."

"Can I meet him?" I asked, getting impatient. There was a photo of him on the mantle in the living room. He had Vitiligo, a skin condition that causes a melanin something something, I never really payed attention in class. One eye, the left, had dark skin around it, the other had white. His left eye was blue, and the right was brown. He had round, full lips that looked perfect for kissing, and long, dark hair. He was overall beautiful.

"Oh god, I almost forgot!" Casey said, laughing nervously. We walked down a long hallway, lined with doors made out of some dark wood. I was about to ask about it when we stopped at the end of the hallway. The wooden door was a little darker then the others. Casey knocked and I heard footsteps on the other side. Then I heard a lock click and the door opened, revealing the cutest man I've ever seen. He was wearing a sea green sweater and black jeans. His long, wavy hair was up in a messy bun. The photo did his big, almond shaped eyes no justice. The blue one was much brighter in color, as was the other. He was beautiful. Until I noticed his expression. He looked very tired and stressed. Just worn out in general. His lips were compressed in a tight line, and his jaw was tense, as was his shoulders. Oh those strong, muscular shoulders.... Suddenly I heard little clicking sounds, like claws on wood. Sure enough, when I looked down, I saw a puppy coming closer to me, sniffing curiously. I kneeled down, holding my hand out in a loose fist for the puppy to sniff. He did, and then licked my knuckles. I chuckled, slowly running my hand over his soft fur. I stood up again, feeling the man, Oliver's astonishing eyes on me.

"Umm, hello, Oliver..." I said awkwardly. He raised an eyebrow, turning to Casey.

"Whose this?" He asked his dad. His voice, with a slight Latino accent, was smoother than the walls. The way his mouth moved....

"This is Gabriel Firise, the caretaker," Casey said.

"What caretaker? Dad!" Oliver said, looking surprised. Did Casey tell him?!

"Ollie stop playing with him!" Casey said, crossing his arms. Oliver was a good actor, apparently.

"Jeez, can't I have any fun around here?" Oliver said, annoyed. "Does he know?" What? Do I know what? And why did he look so mad?

"No, not yet, I wanted you to show him." Casey said calmly. Show me what?! Oliver sighed, walking forward. He grabbed my wrist and my dead heart began to beat faster than it ever had. Oh yeah, I was a Vampire. Imagine Edward Cullen, minus the sparkling skin in the sun, the sun had no affect on me whatsoever, and my eyes we a dark brown. My skin was tan. Basically the only thing that makes me a vampire is that I could drink blood. I didn't get any urges, even if there was fresh blood right in front of me. I could run fast, I have strength like fucking Superman, and I can't die. That's it. We were outside now. Oliver then, to my surprise ( and pleasure...) took off his shirt. I felt my pants get tighter, and I shifted to hide my growing erection. He walked a little further before stopping and turning around to face me and Casey. Suddenly, he closed his eyes and looked deep in thought. And then, he burst into this strange, warm blue light ( if you've read "LUMINE" on WEBTOON, you'd know what I mean) the was dim enough to not blind me. When the light disappeared, Oliver was gone. In his place was a huge, dark brown fox. It hit me in that moment, that I wasn't caring for a human. I was caring for a Werefox.
