Alvene suddenly opened her eyes thinking that she was in hell since she had killed soo many people but what she saw baffled her. She was currently sitting right in the middle of mean looking brats who were dressed fancly. More surprisingly they were looking at her as if she had done something unpardonable.

This loud voice brought back memories that did not belong to Alvene.
This girl was called Alvene. She was an orphan. She was found right infront of her adopted mother's house when she was a baby. The family was apparently the richest in the town but she was treated worse than a servant. Today she overheard her adopted mother discussing with her adopted father about selling her. Overwhelmed with fear, she ran away from home only to bump into Tristy.
Tristy was the only daughter of a merchant and was treated like a princess at home so she had a haughty temper. Earlier when Alvene bumped into her, she broke her bracelet and as compensation she wanted Alvene to hand over her gold necklace.
Alvene had that necklace ever since she was a baby and refused to part with it. It was infused with magic, it grew along with her and unless she agreed, the necklace would never part with her.
[Magic huh... how novel.]
So thsese brats beat someone to death just because of a necklace.
