The cake cutting ceremony finished with the birthday song and feeding cakes to the family & friends. Sitara was left with her friend Chitra, as Shanaya left to talk with her to be mother-in-law.
"Sitara!"
Sitara was talking with Chitra when she heard someone calling her from behind.
Turning behind she noticed Suhas was standing before her. Irritation flashed in her eyes, but suppressing it she smiled politely, "Good evening, brother-in-law! Do you wanna say anything?"
Suhas felt a little uncomfortable listening her question, there was impatience. He nod his head, "Happy Birthday, many many happy returns of the day!" Sitara smiled in response, "Thank you so much."
Suhas held out a small decorative box in his hand, "This is for you, your birthday present."
Sitara looked at the box before accepting it from him, "Thank you again." She thanked him politely, but then handed it over to Chitra with disinterest. "Will you give it to Mrs. D'souza?"
