"Be Dazzled!" A young man with a sleek but muscular figure tossed his long silver hair with a flick while smiling at the passer-bys.
A bunch of screaming ensued for this silver haired man was completely naked. Yep, a bedazzling sight for some indeed but not when a naked dragon charges down from the sky and turns into a naked man.
Next to the naked man was a golden turkey leg dripping blood from the part where it was severed off of the main body.
Surprisingly, this turkey leg began to shiver after hearing the naked silver haired man's proclamation.
"I humbly apologize for my associates misbehavior. Please don't take offense!" The turkey leg spoke. Yep, it spoke without having a mouth.
More screaming ensued and the passer-bys ran off even faster.
"Crandall, you are literally just a right hand, if you talk you'll frighten people!" The silver haired man chided the turkey leg named Crandall.
"And you Sylv are parading your naked body in public! How many times do I have to tell you that such behavior is inappropriate. Please clothe yourself!" Crandall lectured.
"I am clothed! You just don't know cuz you're a right hand instead of an eye!"
"Really? So if I hop under your legs and reach upward I will make contact with pants and not your disgusting privates?"
"Of course you won't make contact with disgusting privates! You'll make contact with bedazzling ones!" Sylv harumphed while crossing his arms, offended that Crandall would consider that his privates were not bedazzling.
Crandall couldn't help but cringe.
You the reader, probably couldn't help but cringe either.
Don't worry, I, the author also couldn't help but cringe.
"Let's go please," Crandall begged. Travelling with Sylv was great since no one mistook him for a turkey leg and tried to bury him or run off screaming when he pulled himself along, but the downside was that Sylv would stop in front of every person in order to "bedazzle" them. He seemed to think that people running away screaming meant that they were bedazzled.
Sylv picked Crandall up and flew off above the clouds but still followed the trail.
"Sylv, since you are flying, why don't we just fly in a straight line to the Capital of the Clear Seas Kingdom. We would arrive there much faster!" Crandall suggested, despite knowing why they were flying over the trail.
"But then less people will be dazzled by me Crandall. Come on, you know how generous I am, what happens if someone is feeling depressed, by arriving in front of them as my bedazzling self that depression will be blasted away! It would make their day! How could I not stop to help these travelers?"
Crandall sighed. It was always like this with Sylv. The one major drawback of travelling with a silver dragon was their severe cases of "bedazzling complex" where they refused to clothe themselves because they thought their bodies were too bedazzling to cover up and also that it was charity to bedazzle humans with their naked bodies. This came from when humans would be dazzled by the silver dragons majestic dragon form, whenever they were in dragon form. So the dragons learned that humans were bedazzled by their naked forms. Of course, showing up as dragons often scared people away so they would run in terror but the dragons interpreted this as being dazzled. Hence, Sylv really thought that the humans were being dazzled by him showing up naked regardless of whether it was as a dragon or in human form since he is still a dragon, even when in human form. Unfortunately, it was a few thousand years too late to alter this view of his so Crandall could only sigh in exasperation.
Hmm? There is a storm to our east. Sylv felt the lightning from his position. He could also faintly smell the thunder clouds so he started moving over for closer observation.
Oh no, that village is going to be flooded! The village was built where it was easy to irrigate the fields from the river nearby. However, being so close to the water meant that when it floods the entire village could be destroyed. This kind of large storm could only happen inland if some sages were fighting. There was no way this village could survive such harsh weather.
"Crandall, I'm feeling a bit sleepy!" Sylv said while yawning. Then in a flash, where sylv was standing before was the head of a giant silver dragon. His body extended for nearly a dozen kilometers and had a radius of nearly a 10 meters. The dragon slowly floated down over the village.
The villagers seeing the appearance of the huge dragon trembled in fear. He was the same color as the white lightning, and so in their eyes he may be the harbinger of the storm. A living disaster! His massive size left them in despair, just a single arm of this dragon could crush half of the village! How could they defend from such a mighty beast?
But the dragon did not lie down on them. Nor did it eat them like some had thought. Instead it lay down carefully surrounding the village in its body. Wrapping itself around from the border of the village and rolling itself upwards into a kind of cone until it sheltered the village from the rain and thunder. It wasn't for a while that the villagers understood what the dragon had done for them. Although it crushed some of their crops, it never crushed any of them.
"This guy, he just can't help himself can he," Crandall sighed. "Okay Sylv, just rest here for a bit. There is no rush, I'll deal with those inconsiderate sages."
This was Sylv, the former Silver Dragon King who was so vain that when he found out silver medals went to second place he changed his race to be called the Platinum dragon race. Yet this same highly privileged, overpowered dragon king was willing to waste countless hours of his time to protect a human village from a flood he did not even cause, merely because he happened upon it. He did not chase down the sages who were fighting either because of his worry for the people. When he did things like this, it was then that Crandall found him to be truly bedazzling.
