At ten minutes to six, Iren and Yihshyong were already standing right in front of the fence of Shiuander Janji's house.
"Have you asked Chioujen about that?" Yihshyong uttered those words in a low volume.
"Which matter?"
"The thing Mr. Jongli told us yesterday."
"Ah!" Yihshyong's answer was greeted by Iren with a very strong nod. "About Yeuduo Jendaw. Yes, I asked him. He said he didn't know and had never heard of such name."
"Then there are only two possibilities. If he's not Shinnshiow's acquaintance, then that person is Dahge's friend."
Iren took a deep breath. "I don't think so. It could be that the guy doesn't know us at all. He knows about Dahge from someone else."
"You mean, it's possible that Songfei told him about Dahge?"
"It's possible, right?"
Yihshyong nodded. "Yes, what you said made sense."
Iren couldn't hide his anxiety. He stomped his feet over and over again."
"What is it?" Yihshyong turned to Iren.
"Shyongge, are you sure that Mr. Shiuander hasn't forgotten about what you two talked about last night?"
Yihshyong laughed. "I'm pretty sure. Mr. Shiuander is always punctual. Besides, it's not even six o'clock yet. Maybe he thinks we're going to be a little late. Don't worry. Now let's just wait a bit."
They didn't have to wait too long because a minute later, Shiuander Janji came out of the house. The old man smiled at the two of them.
"Good morning, Sir!" Yihshyong and Iren greeted the old man.
"Good morning!" Shiuander smiled even wider. He opened the gate of his house. "You guys came just in time."
"Thank you, Sir!" Yihshyong stepped into Shiuander's courtyard. "This is an important matter. So we have to be on time."
"You two sit inside first," said Shiuander.
The two of them then went inside Shiuander Janji's house. According to Iren's estimation, the building area of the house was exactly the same as the size of their house.
"So you really live here alone?" Iren looked around. So far, indeed, Iren has seen no one else coming out of or entering Shiuander Janji's house. Of course, except for the people who delivered the goods or fixed things at the old man's house.
"Yes! My friends have never come here either. If I have business with them, I am the one who goes to their place," said Shiuander Janji.
"What time are we leaving, sir?" Yihshyong asked.
"Soon," Shiuander replied.
"Is it true that we arrived there not too early?" Iren asked. "I am afraid that your friend would be disturbed."
"Don't worry. This morning, right after I woke up, which is half-past five in the morning, I called him. I gave him a little idea of what we wanted."
"Your friend is up at five in the morning?" Yihshyong was amazed.
"My friend is used to getting up early. It seems that since he was young, he has had this habit. Don't you guys in Yeuandong also have the habit of getting up early?"
"That's right, Sir!" Yihshyong laughed as he answered Shiuander Janji's question.
Iren nodded. The old man before them knew about it. People in Yeuandong were like that. Many of them there were up at half past four in the morning. Activities in Yeuandong did start earlier than in other areas.
Most offices in Yeuandong started their activities at eight in the morning. In fact, there were offices that require their employees to be in the office since half-past eight in the morning. Classes at school usually start at seven in the morning. The situation differed from the situation in the city where they lived now. Here, business and educational activities started a little later. The office usually started its activities at nine in the morning, while lessons at school start at eight in the morning.
"I will warm up the car," said Shiuander Janji.
"Please, Sir!" Yihshyong and Iren answered in unison.
Shiuander Janji to leave the house to start the car engine. Yihshyong and Iren waited patiently.
After waiting for five minutes, Shiuander Janji reentered the living room. "Let's go now."
The three of them then left the house. Shiuander Janji had already pulled the car out of the yard. Currently, the car was on the road in front of the house.
Iren looked at the house next door, which was their house. Chioujen and Jenqyih were standing in front of the house. In front of their house, there was Tsaehorng's car. The young man had come to their house at half-past six in the morning. Iren was amazed at the young man. He was full of energy.
"Where's Tsaehorng?" Yihshyong asked.
"Having breakfast inside." Jenqyih replied.
Iren nodded. Earlier, at a quarter past five, they had all had breakfast. There's still a lot of pizzas left from last night. They just need to warm the pizzas. Tsaehorng appeared just as they finished their breakfast. Right after that, Iren and Yihshyong took a shower so they wouldn't be late.
Shiuander Janji nodded when he saw Chioujen. But the old man said nothing.
"Shyongge, Rendi, Mr. Shiuander, be careful on the road." Jenqyih waved as the three of them got into the car.
Iren looked at his watch. Exactly six in the morning. This was a wonderful thing. The custom in Yeuandong was not like that. Although the Yeuandong people were used to getting up early, they were often not on time when they arrive somewhere. It's a bit strange, but that's the way people in Yeuandong were.
The car started to move. Iren looked at Yihshyong. His housemate's face looked tired. Like himself, Yihshyong had been sleep deprived these past few days. Even so, Yihshyong's face looked relaxed. Very different from yesterday. Last night, while going to the park to deliver the ransom items, Yihshyong looked so tense.
"Where is your family?"
Shiuander Janji did not immediately answer Iren's question. He looked far ahead. Iren thought that the old man did not hear what he asked.
"They're not here." Shiuander Janji suddenly answered the question about forty seconds later.
"You didn't bring them here?" Yihshyong asked.
"I've tried to bring them here. But there are some things that make my efforts not successful. But I have not given up. I will keep trying."
Yihshyong looked back. The look in his eyes seemed to ask Iren not to ask Shiuander Janji about personal matters. The old man looked uncomfortable when Iren asked about his family. Iren nodded weakly. They must not make Shiuander Janji feel provoked.
"Now, are we going to the office or the house of your friend?" Yihshyong asked.
"Let's go to his house first. I'm sure he's getting ready right now. I don't know if we should go to his office or not. Most likely, my friend will take us to his warehouse. The items displayed in his office are only samples. So it's probably not even complete."
The journey took more than forty-five minutes. Yihshyong and Iren were wide-eyed when they saw Shiuander Janji's friend's house. The house was enormous. But the building was not located in an elite housing complex. So that the house was in stark contrast to the other houses in the vicinity.
A house keeper opened the fence. The car they were traveling in went straight into the yard. After getting out of the car, the housekeeper ushered them into the living room.
The host then appeared only five minutes after they waited in the living room. His face lit up when he saw the three of them. Shiuander Janji introduced Yihshyong and Iren to the person. The three of them then started conversing. Yihshyong briefly explained the purpose of their arrival. He did not say explicitly about the kidnapping case they experienced. Iren didn't know how many things Shiuander Janji had told the person, but it seemed the person had understood the situation that had befallen them.
The person, whose name was Jingdu Shiowmin, nodded as Yihshyong showed him the photo of the bag they were referring to. "I don't memorize each of our products in detail, but I do remember that there are indeed ones that look like this. But I don't know if we still have this item in stock with the exact color as in this photo."
"How about we just check into the warehouse?" Shiuander Janji said to his friend.
"By coincidence, today I am planning to come to the warehouse. There will be a large shipment of goods to our warehouse. So I have to check it out. Let's go now!"
Iren was thrilled to hear that. Yihshyong nodded with a bright face.
