Chapter 6 - Chapter Six

Narcissa's lips were on mine, both of ours moving in sync, while she had me pinned against the wall of my bedroom. Both of our eyes were closed in this very heated kiss. I could feel her hand moving from the back of my neck, down to my shoulders, down the side of my body until she reaches my waist, now both hands rest on my waist. My hands were tangled in her hair as she pulls my hips to be flush against hers. She pulls away from my lips and quickly moves to my neck, finding my sweet spot almost immediately.

"Cissa~" I breath out.

THUMP

I was awoken from my dream to find that I had fallen onto the floor. I let out a groan of pain and frustration that I was awoken. It wasn't until I stand up that I realized what kind of dream I had. When I do, I let out an even louder groan.

'Why me?'

I fall onto my bed again and groan into my pillow before rolling over so I'm laying on my back. I look out my window to see that the sun is starting to come up. I didn't want to risk having another dream like that again so I decided to get up. I slowly but surely walk over to my wardrobe and grab some clothes so I can take a shower. I was going to be trying on a bunch of dresses today so I decided on a simple green turtle neck sweater and some trousers for my outfit. I decide to leave the clothes on my bed for when I come back in so I didn't have to worry about getting them wet in the bathroom. I go into my bathroom, closing the door behind me, and turn the water on. While the water warms up, I undress. I step into the shower and the warm water immediately soothes my tense shoulders.

~~

I had found a black, silk robe hanging in the closet of the bathroom so I had put that on while I brushed my teeth, brushed my hair, and did my make up. I always hated make up, I still do, but I decided to put a bit more effort in my looks. I didn't do anything major, seeing as though I didn't have much. All I did, was put on some mascara and light pink lip gloss. It wasn't to much but it was good enough. After I finished with that, I went back into my room to get dressed. I had taken a long shower so the sun was now shining brightly. I take my time getting dressed, seeing as though it was still pretty early in the morning.

After I was ready, I decided to read for a while. Narcissa had shown me the Manors library, which, by the way, was FILLED with books. I grab my wand and make my way to the library. Quietly of course. When I arrived at the library, I immediately went to the fiction section. I saw a book that caught my eye when Narcissa gave me the tour. I look around for a bit until I finally spot it. Pet Cemetery. It was by my favorite author, who was also a very well known pure-blood wizard, Steven King.

I smile to myself and quickly grab the book. I quickly walk over to the black, leather, loveseat and take a seat, opening the book once I get comfortable.

~~

When I start reading, I lose track of what's happening all around me. I don't know how long I was reading for until I felt someone sit next to me. I tensed up a bit but relaxed when I saw that it was Narcissa.

"Oh, hello Narcissa. I didn't think anyone else was awake yet." I say to her. She simply chuckles in response.

"Yes well, it is quite early, isn't it? Any how, I came here to find a good book to read for a bit until breakfast was ready but I see you have come to do the same." I put my bookmark in the book and close it, setting it down on the table next to the loveseat.

"You are correct, Narcissa." There was a moment of awkward silence for a moment, creating more of this weird tension, before Narcissa spoke up.

"So, Steven King?" She sends me a smirk and a raised eyebrow. I chuckle.

"Can you really blame me though?"

"Honestly my sweet, I can't." My stomach got butterflies at the pet name. I try to ignore it by covering it with a laugh. I saw that it made her smile, my laugh did. Just seeing her smile brought even more butterflies to my stomach.

'What is this woman doing to me?'

After my laughter dies down, me and Narcissa sit in silence again, the tension coming back again. Only this time, the tension was different. This time, the tension was more, sexual. I couldn't help but look at her. She could probably sense my eyes on her because she also turned to look at me. I stare into her deep, brown eyes while she stares into my E/C eyes. I see her eyes dart to my lips, giving me de ja vu of the night in the garden. I knew where this was going to go and I really didn't want to stop it but I knew I had to. She was my best friends mom, for crying out loud! I clear my throat and look away.

"So, where are we going first today? After breakfast of course." I ask, trying to get rid of the major tension in the room. I'm almost certain she could feel it too. I look back to her and see her still looking at me, but, there was a different look in her eyes. I couldn't quite place it. She blinked a few times before smiling and answering.

"We will first go to the dress shop first, then, when we're done there, we can go to The Three Broomsticks for lunch. I have a few more shops to go to after that but I'm sure it won't take to terribly long. A few hours at most." She answers. I give her a small smile and a nod. I quickly look away so we don't almost, and possibly, kiss again. The silence and the tension was back again, making me uncomfortable.

Luckily, a house elf appears in front of us before it got to terrible.

"Indie is sorry to disturb, but, breakfast is ready." Indie says before disappearing again. We both stand up and walk over to the door. Me being me, I open it for her, making her chuckle slightly, but still go first nonetheless. I walk by her side all the way down to the dining room. Lucius and Draco were already seated when we got there so we quickly took our seats.

"And, may I ask, where you two were?" Lucius asks, glaring at Narcissa.

"We were in the library." Narcissa answers, glaring back. Draco sends me a 'I told you so' look, which I return with a 'you were right' look. The two adults continue to glare at each other until the elfs come in with our food. Today, it was waffles with a little swirl of whipped cream and a sliced strawberry sticking out of the cream.

~~

Breakfast was quiet but it wasn't an awkward quiet like me and Narcissa had in the library. No no, this was a peaceful quiet. Nothing needed to be said during this time. Of course, there was still that tension between Narcissa and Lucius, and with them constantly glaring at each other didn't help a lot either.

"I hope you're familiar with floo transportation." Narcissa says as she grabs a mini, black, velvet bag out of her pocket. Lucius was in his study, Draco went into his room.

"I did it once." I say, remembering the time we had to use floo to get to the train station because we were late for the train.

"Good. Come, we'll do it together." She steps into the fireplace and holds out her hand for me to take. I reach out and gently take her hand, feeling sparks from where I skin touches. I knew she could feel it too by the way she tenses up a bit but relaxes soon after. I hold her hand as I walk into the fireplace next to her. I grab a handful of floo powder, as does she.

"Hogsmead!" We both yell in unison, throwing the floo powder down and getting engulfed in green flames.

Once all the flames had cleared, I let go of Narcissa's hand and step out. She steps out soon after me and looks around at the very crowded streets.

"The dress shop is over here a bit." She says to me. I look at her and nod. She smiles and places a hand on my back to guide me, and, of course, giving me a slight shiver down my spine. I don't know what it is about this woman that makes these things happen. Every touch, accidental or not, gives me butterflies. Anything she does can, and most likely will, give me butterflies.

She continues to guide me to the store with her hand still on my back. The store had two floors. The first floor being the floor for average customers while the second is for the VIP customers, like Narcissa. We completely skipped the first floor and just immediately went to the second floor. The owner of the shop, Mrs. Snurly, welcomed Narcissa as if they were old friends. Which, wouldn't be surprising, seeing how friendly Narcissa was.

'I wonder how she is in bed. Oh my god, no. Y/N, no. You do not wonder this.'

I shake my head at the thought before introducing myself to Mrs. Snurly.

"And I would like you to meet Y/N. She is staying with us for Christmas break and requires a dress for our Christmas ball." Narcissa introduces, placing her hand on my back again.

"Ah yes, what is the theme of the dance?" Mrs. Snurly asks. She was a short woman, a little shorter then me, although she was very skinny. She had two different colored eyes. One blue and one green. She didn't wear makeup so I could see that her lips were their natural pink color. She was wearing a Christmas jumper with some trousers to go with it. She had fair skin and her hair was the color brown and it was very long. It reaches  halfway down her back.

"Masquerade." Narcissa answers the woman.

"Alright. Come over here deary, and I'll go pick out a few dresses." I nod and follow Mrs. Snurly over to a dressing room, with Narcissa's hand still on my back.
