Chapter 10: Is Student Lu Sick?
"You can let me see it later." Actually, maybe never. Lu Chen walked to his desk and sat down before Zhang Jian could respond. But Zhang Jian refused to let this go as he sat beside Lu Chen,
"We'll talk about this later!" Zhang Jian whispered to Lu Chen. But the man gave a light nod and looked straight at the board.
A man looking to be in his mid to late 50s and had a very strict and severe face looked at all the students,
"Students." He said with an indifferent tone.
"Good morning, teacher Xiao." The students said in unison. They felt slight fear for him, not wanting him to be angry.
Xiao Cong didn't say anything back as he opened up his booklet, ready to take attendance. As he checked each student one by one, he glared at the students to see if they were there.
It was as if he was ready to scold them at any second. Finishing, Xiao Cong shut his attendance booklet, "Alright, let's begin class." And the lecture started.
...
As the students listened to the lecture, they were silent. They were attentive.
However, Xiao Cong felt slightly disturbed. He turned away from the board and looked at the class, specifically at Lu Chen.
Student Lu Chen is very silent. He was too quiet.
If someone dropped a pin in the classroom, everyone could hear it. That surprised Xiao Cong as the class was always hindered by one student.
And that was the same person who he had his eyes on.
Lu Chen has been a thorn in his side since being in his class. The bad thing about this was Xiao Cong couldn't say anything to Lu Chen. His father funded most of the equipment in the school. Disrespecting Lu Chen was slapping the biggest funder of the school.
The only thing he could do was give Lu Chen warnings, and that was it.
Seeing how Lu Chen was so silent and focused on the lecture was a surprise.
Is student Lu plotting something?
Xiao Cong taught for 20 years at this school. He also taught Lu Aotian and Lu Hao when they attended. The two boys were the exact opposite of each other; one was carefree, while the other was studious. But when it came to doing what was needed, the two aced everything.
Lu Hao and Lu Aotian always got first in their grades. That made Xiao Cong proud to have students like them.
When Xiao Cong heard about Lu Chen being placed in his class: he was intrigued. He had high expectations for Lu Chen, thinking he was the same as his two elder brothers.
But expectation was different from reality. The third son was the black sheep of the family.
Lu Chen was the exact opposite of his two brothers.
Reckless and spoiled. These two words come into Xiao Cong's mind when describing Lu Chen. Lu Chen knew he was blessed with a wealthy family and abused his privileges without care.
All through this school year, he had been abusing this power. But he was sitting there so focused and attentive to the class.
Lu Chen's gaze was covered by his hair, but Xiao Cong knew Lu Chen was staring straight at the board. This focus and attentiveness from Lu Chen was weird, and the only thing Xiao Cong thought was;
Is student Lu sick?
