Su Li's voice was loud, but after calling out, she received no response.
After thinking for a moment, Su Li took a few steps towards the hall and shouted upstairs, "Wei Chengfeng, are you there? What do you want to eat?"
She had assumed he was upstairs, but as soon as she finished calling out, Wei Chengfeng emerged from one of the rooms downstairs, frowning at her and chiding lightly, "What are you yelling for?"
"What do you want for breakfast?"
"A sandwich is fine."
"That's not good for your stomach," Su Li responded reflexively.
Wei Chengfeng gave her a meaningful look, then said, "Then it's up to you."
"You're the one saying this, so don't be picky when the time comes," she warned.
Without waiting for Wei Chengfeng's reaction, she walked back into the kitchen.
First she started the rice, and then she took vegetables and fresh meat out of the refrigerator.
Cooking was no trouble for Su Li; she was happy to prepare such things herself whenever she had the time.
