Chapter 69 - Chapter 67

*KNOCK!*

With a small thud, Haruki's handgun falls to the ground and he looks over the balcony railing.

"Stay the hell away from me for the remainder of the time I'm here." Kazimir says, jamming his own gun into the back of Haruki's head. "If you send any of your men to come after her, I'll hunt you down, torture you, and then kill you myself."

The gamer laughs and looks back up at Kazimir.

"Still mad from the time I took in you and your other buddies?"

Using his foot, he kicks Kazimir's gun over the balcony railing as well.

"Why don't we fight fist to fist this time? Like real men?"

"I don't feel like fighting you right now." the young detective replies. "Maybe some other time."

"Maybe some other time, but weren't you getting ready to kill me? I think you don't know how-

Dodging a punch from Kazimir, Haruki laughs.

"That's what I'd like to see!"

With his knee, he immediately jabs the detective in his stomach, knocking him to the ground.

Before he could get up, Haruki places his shoe on Kazimir's rib cage and slowly starts to press down.

"You could've died a more simpler death, but nope; the young Kazimir thinks he's immortal."

Smiling down at him, the gamer spits on his face.

"You were a handsome man, too. Too bad you wasted your genetics."

With his arm, Kazimir jabs it into Haruki's other leg which held him firmly on the ground.

"It'll take more than that to get me off of you. I applaud you for trying, though."

Deepening his foot, Haruki chuckles as he begins to hear a small cracking sound. Looking down at Kazimir, he frowns as the young man continues to smile through the physical pain.

"Go ahead and kill me, I'll make sure to haunt you for the rest of your life."

"Really? Well, I'd like to see how this ends, so maybe I should hurry and get on with-

"FREEZE!"

Turning forward, the two young men come face to face with multiple police officers, their guns drawn.

"You standing! Step away from the man and lie face down on the ground!" one of the officers yell.

"For what?" Haruki asks, putting his hands up. "I didn't-

"JUST DO WHAT I TOLD YOU!"

Groaning, Haruki gets onto the ground next to Kazimir.

"You're both being detained for unruly disturbance to the public." the lead officer says, walking over to the two young men.

Kazimir winces in pain as an officer places handcuffs around his wrists.

"Can I check into a hospital first? I think my ribs are slightly fractured."

"Japanese and Russian?" an officer says, waving Kazimir's ID card in front of his face. "I thought you people were supposed to be strong. Aren't you a strong samurai, kid?"

The young detective's brows furrow and he sticks up the middle finger at the officer.

"Fuck you, motherfucker! I hope you get shot and die unexpectedly while responding to a call!"

"Alright boy, you wanna see how we really do with clowns like you?" the police officer rhetorically asks.

He begins to slam Kazimir against the police car and kicks him in the stomach.

"Now one more filthy word out of your-

Kicking the man in his leg, Kazimir watches as the police officer stumbles back. Taking this as a chance, the young detective runs forward and shoves the man down with his shoulder, using all of his upper body strength he could muster.

While the officer screams for backup, Kazimir lunges forward, landing on the man's torso and begins to throw punches as best as he could while in handcuffs.

"Hey! That's enough!"

Two other police officers pull the young detective away, throwing him in the back of the squad car.

"Son, do you know what the hell you just did?"

"Yeah, I do." Kazimir replies.

The officer raises a brow.

"You sound proud of it."

Kazimir nods.

"Damn right I am and I would do it all over again! I don't give a fuck if you're law enforcement or a fucking old woman, be a fucking dick towards me and you'll see how much respect you get from me!"

"Young man, everyone's eventually going to be discriminated against, some more than others. That doesn't mean you should find yourself in prison for multiple years just because someone made fun of you." the officer says, before closing the car door.

He sighs and watches as the car drove away.

"Seems like the kid has got some internal issues going on."

-------

"Kazimir Cizetto."

The jail guard unlocks the small cell door to let Kazimir out.

"Your $500,000 bond has been paid."

Following the guard to the front desk, Kazimir looks over at Alexei who was currently reading over a piece of paper.

"You paid it?"

"Yes, Mr. Cizetto I did." Alexei says, sighing.

Opening the exit door, Kazimir turns back to the young law student.

"Then I'll give you the money back in return."

"That's not my main focus right now, Kazimir. You do realize you're being charged with physical assault of a police officer, correct?"

"Yeah, I could've guessed that."

Stopping in his tracks, Alexei gives him an angry look.

"You sound like you don't care. Might I remind you we are in America, not Claiza City. You've assaulted an American police officer; you're not being let off that easily."

He hands Kazimir a few papers to read over, before opening his car door.

"Flight risk? Court date in two days? Yeah, I might've acted over the top, but seriously? A damn flight risk?"

"You're more concerned about being a flight risk than your potential thirty years in prison? Mr. Cizetto are you a fucking idiot?" Alexei asks, braking at a stoplight.

"It says here I'll need a lawyer for my court date, so no, I'm not concerned. I'd like you to act as my lawyer, Alexei."

"What? I haven't even finished school yet, I can't do that."

"Then you can fake as if you're an actual lawyer." Kazimir says, looking out of the passenger window. "The ones here may secretly make a plea deal behind my back and get the judge to rule some stupid type of shit. I know they wouldn't let you because you aren't from here."

Sighing, Alexei shrugs.

"Lucky for you, I'm a registered citizen here. But I'm going to be honest with you, Kazimir; we get caught, I'm not going down for your decided plan."

"Then it's a deal." the young detective says, smiling.

-----

*KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!*

Pierre Richano watches as the door quickly opens, the mother of his future twins with a confused look staring back at him.

"I need you to keep this box here for about two days. It's very important, so I'll come back for it-

"Marijuana and cocaine?" Aria asks, looking at the label. "I'm not having any type of drugs in my house, Pierre."

She shoves the box back into his hands.

"Never forget that I bought this place, bitch. Now, you can keep the box here for only two days or I'll put this house back up on the market and you'll have to find somewhere else to stay."

"I'll have my bags packed by tomorrow, then!" the young woman says, slamming the door in the man's face.

"Aria, you got ten seconds to open this fucking door!" Pierre yells, banging his fists on the door.

The door opens again and Aria angrily crosses her arms.

"I wasn't actually going to put you out on the streets, how would that look on my part?" Pierre asks, laughing. "Look, I'll give you an extra $2 million if you keep the box here."

"And why does it need to be kept here, Pierre?" Aria says, taking the box from his hands. "You told me you couldn't stand living that type of life anymore. That's what I can't stand about you, you're too much into risky business; living the fast life and everything! I'm pregnant with your children and here you are selling drugs to people on the street! How do you think that makes me feel as being the mother of your kids and knowing their father is a fucking dope dealer?! Come back for your box in two days and then that's it!"

She slams the door and Pierre shrugs.

"Damn, the saying really is true; more money, more problems."

Walking back to his car, the detective watches as another car pulls up behind him.

"Captain Uzini told me you were checking up on your girlfriend or whatever she is to you."

Rolling his eyes, Pierre groans.

"Fuck are you here for, blondie?"

"The department has noticed that several boxes of contraband that were being kept in the examination room have gone missing." Dayne says, adjusting his tie. "Since you're one of the top men working on any drug incidents the department stumbles across, I figured you might have some clues."

Pierre chuckles and looks up at the sky.

"Dayne Rafaèl Níserraté figured. Not Captain Uzini, not the department, not the citizens of Claiza City. Why don't you check yourself first, huh? Or that crazed brother of yours? Maybe he's drugging Ms. Ellison to get her to fall in love with him."

"Well actually, both Caio and Nia are assigned to criminal cases that aren't linked to drugs." Dayne replies. "I'll also have you know Captain Uzini put me in charge of opening a separate investigation within the department."

He takes out an envelope and shows it to Pierre.

"I have a warrant to search your house."

"You got a wha- just go ahead. But you're just wasting your time." Pierre says, shaking his head. "And when you come up with nothing, that's how I'll know you were jealous of me originally becoming the head leader of the previous drug team."

Leading the man to his house, Pierre furiously parks his car as Dayne walks up to the front door.

"Be nosy all you want, bastard. Just know you have the wrong guy."

The professional spy walks in and begins to look around his co-worker's house. After 45 minutes, he makes his way back over to Pierre and sighs.

"You're all clean, Richano."

Pierre nods and raises a brow.

"I told you. I knew you were jealous of me. I've always known. Go to another country for a top job spot, you got the right look."

Poking his finger on Pierre's chest, Dayne gives him a serious look.

"You may have the department wrapped around your finger, but I can tell there is something you're hiding. I can only do limited checks since I'm still clocked in. Keep on high alert when you're dealing drugs, because believe me, I won't play fair once I catch you."

He walks out of Pierre's front door who walks after him, punching Dayne in the face.

"You try to falsely accuse me or anyone else close to me and I will fucking turn your sorry ass life into a horror movie. And if you have doubts, just look at my position in the department. They can't afford to fire me otherwise they'll be worse off than what they already are. Now get the fuck off of my property."
