Maelin woke up, her eyes slowly opened as she looked around, she blinked a few times before she opened her eyes slowly.
She smiled as she noticed him, "Zane?" Her voice was hoarse as she tried to speak.
"I'm here... we would be at the infirmary soon." Zane said gently.
She nodded as her eyes closed once more.
He was about to push into the infirmary when he heard a noise behind him.
He turned around to see the second guard rushing out of the door as he called out!
"Sire!" He called out, his eyes widening. "Sire, I need to report an immediate emergency!" He was practically gasping for air.
Zane sighed as he understood what the other guard was about to report and he turned around, facing him.
"What is it?" He said, his voice tense.
"Sire you need to come to the main hall right away.
Zane frowned, he could sense something was not right, he got a quick feeling that was almost as if he had sensed something dark was about to spill out and he didn't want to risk another attack.
