"It's Curtis, Your Majesty." A quick succession of knock followed.
A cross popping veins made it's way to Zane's forehead, pissed off as an emotion would be an understatement. How long would he keep getting away with interrupting his activities?
"Send him to the Mirage Forest or better still a death penalty would be nice." A snickering voice whispered into his head.
"No." He replied quickly.
Aria's brows furrowed in confusion as she witnessed his internal struggle upon hearing who it was at the door.
"Zane, are you alright?" She asked concerned for him.
Zane flushed with guilt and embarrassment. He had been so caught up in his anger at Curtis, he had unintentionally given Aria reason to worry.
His voice was soft, "I'm alright, solace." He kissed her on the cheek as a token of his apology.
She smiled warmly at him and he gave her a gentle kiss on her forehead.
