°Uncultured lips?° Princess Aria paced back and forth in her chambers, a brush in hand.

"What exactly was he talking about?" She asked no one in particular, swinging the brush.

°He knows!° Her thoughts mocked in a singsong voice.

°But he was out cold on that day, if he knows-° stopping dead in her tracks, her eyes widened in shock at the thought of the King actually remembering. "There is no way anyone would be so clueless enough to point out the last word I said." She panicked.

°Poor Aria, how would you face him?° She shook her head.

*sigh*

"I have to fix this before it escalates." She thought.

Brushing her hair, the brush tugged on her hair midway, looking down, she noticed her hair was tangled at the tip.

°I might eventually get rid of you° she pulled on her hair in frustration.

A glint of light brought her back to reality. The light shone from the diamond.

"Uh! not now!" She grumbled.

Walking over to her Tiara which laid on the top of her shelf, she examined its diamond, the glow stopped momentarily before it flunctuated.

°Why did this have to be soon?° She facepalmed.

°Why did I have to administer that kind of poison?° Her head hung low in despair.

°That is because you wanted to have a feel of his lips° Her inner thoughts challenged.

"Get out of my head!" She yelled. "I need to clear my head." She scanned her room for possible means of doing so.

Opening her door slightly, she looked out for any sign of the guards patrolling.

Light on her feet, she tiptoed her way towards the garden.

°Good thing Curtis had given me a tour of the palace° she snickered.

There she saw it in it's glory, the full moon which stood tall and bright, it's luminous light shone throughout the kingdom. The thousands of stars twinkling with their magnificence.

"Wow!" She marveled, her head towards the sky.

"Beautiful isn't it?" A voice spoke from a distance.

Princess Aria jumped back in fear at the sound of the voice, "W-What are you doing here?"

"It is my Kingdom after all." The King sat on a cast aluminum bench, his eyes set on her.

"Right!" She deadpanned.

Tapping the side of the seat, "sit." He commanded.

"You don't control me." She huffed, folding her arms.

"Suit yourself, then." He shrugged.

"I'm sitting out of my own accord." She didn't want to concede to defeat.

"So tell me, why are you here?" The King's attention solely on her.

"It's none of your concern, Your Majesty." She replied through gritted teeth.

This was not the kind of situation she assumed she would find herself in when the thought of going to the garden popped up. The very person she had tried avoiding was sitting right next to her, asking the unaskable.

"Hmmm, do you have any grudge against me?" The King's eyes narrowed.

°You had your brother's guards drugged me and kidnapped me° these thoughts swarmed through her head

"What do you think?" She shot a glare his way.

"I think you do, but I'm less concerned about that." He closed his eyes, relishing in the blissful silence.

Princess Aria's mouth hung open at his indifferent attitude.

°You seem to have forgotten I have the antidote° She balled her fists, biting down on her lower lip.

As if reading her mind, he sat up, setting his face at close proximity to hers. "About that antidote," he searched her eyes for any sign of her hiding something. "How did you administer it?"

Pushing back the King, "First off, did you have to be that close to ask me that?" She tried steadying her racing heart.

The King laid back on the bench, letting out a chuckle at his influence on her.

°I've finally known your weakness° The King smirked at his discovery.

"I'm still waiting for a response, Princess." He smirked.

"It's a family secret, I can't possibly tell you." She defended.

"Hmm... secret? I think I already know the secret." He pretended to think it through, rubbing on his chiseled chin.

"Pfft," She put up a front of indifference. "Let's hear it then." She challenged.

In one quick successions, he pulled her on top of himself. "Do you really want to hear it?" His voice hoarse.

Squirming in his grip, she tried freeing herself. "Let me go!"

"Give me one good reason why I should." He replied.

"If we are caught in this position-" She paused, looking around for any sign of people lurking. "I, don't want to be caught in this situation." She clarified.

"You're right." He nodded in agreement. "Then let's make this quick."

°Oh no, not again!° She shut her eyes , bracing for the impact.

Princess Aria could feel his hand pull her in yet again.

Taking control, he parted her lips with his, the taste of him washing over her, heat rising from her stomach to her chest. Placing her hand on his chest she pushed, forcing herself to break free, gasping for her breath.

Her eyes narrowed at his cunning tactics. °He knew all along°

The King's gaze still locked on her lips, his brows knotted in a frown as he watched her wipe her lips with her sleeve, of his taste.

"You felt a connection, didn't you?" The King suggested.

Shaking her head in disappointment, she climbed off him, turning to leave, but as expected, he tried stopping her yet again.

"Let me go." She said in a whisper looking over her shoulder, her face obscured by the shadows.

"You can't leave like thi-" a sharp stinging pain on his cheek interfered with his speech. The taste of copper graced his tongue.

She balled her hands in a fist, punching him in the face.

°Why don't you just respect my words for once! Must your life be in danger before you can?° She boiled in rage.

"So much for a clear head." She sighed in exasperation. "Don't make me regret saving you." She warned, turning to leave.

The swaying of her hair and her white night dress caused by the wind as she walked away, was the last the King saw of her retreating figure.

Still holding onto his cheek, he balled his hand in a fist, channeling all his anger onto the bench. Blood oozing out of his knuckles.

°You will be mine eventually°
