Oikawa Tooru, your boyfriend just lost a game to Karasuno. He's last chance to enter the nationals, was gone.
The ball hit Aoba Johsai's side, indicating that Karasuno won. Everyone was frozen for the next few seconds, no one moved, until we heard several cheers from our opponent. You were in the bleachers right next to Aoba Johsai's Fan base/ Cheer squad.
You looked at your team, seeing your best friends Iwazumi Hajime, Matsukawa Issei, and Hanamaki Takahiro, and then your boyfriend Oikawa Tooru. You saw them, their faces, and you heard your heart breaking, it hurt you.
You leaved the bleachers almost immediately, running towards the entrance of the gym, you were met with your best friends, you gave each of them a hug, none of them responded, and it was quite.
"You all did good, I'm proud of you."
No response, and then they all nodded slowly, it hurt. You stared at them for a second, before they walked passed you, followed by the rest of the team, you patted each of their backs.
Being close to Tooru, meant being best friends with Iwazumi, Matsukawa, and Hanamaki, but it also meant you were close with all of the team. While you were lost in thought, it hit you, where was Tooru?
Where are you Tooru
"Tooru?"
"Tooru, where are you?"
"Oikawa Tooru, where are you..?"
You picked up your phone, and decided to give him a call, while walking around, until you saw him talking with Wakatoshi Ushiwaka..?
He's back was towards you, so you run up to him and give him a surprise back hug, he froze up to your touch, but after glancing back and realizing it was you, he relaxed a bit more, while Ushiwaka walked away. You went infront him and hugged him once again, your face snuggled into his chest, he's chin rested on top of your head.
"Are you okay Tooru?"
"Mhm, I'm fine."
"Okay."
You knew it was a good idea, to let it be, and talk to him when your alone. He kissed the top of your head
"I have to go, the bus is waiting for me, do you have a ride home?"
"Not really, I decided to take the train, or subway."
"Yeah, no. Come on you can join me on the bus."
"You sure?"
"Yes, I'm certain. And I don't plan on changing my mind. I have my stuff do you have yours?"
You chuckled softly and quietly before saying
"Yeah, I do."
"Let's go."
He intertwined his fingers with yours, before walking towards the exit of the gym. It was quiet, the walk towards the bus was quiet, the bus was quiet, no one dared to say a word. It was a long ride, you and Oikawa got the front seats, the second you both sat in the seats, he fell asleep, he's head resting on your shoulder, you looked at him, a small smile appearing after seeing his face, you kissed his forehead, before entering your own slumber.
~ Time Skip ~
Oikawa was waking you home, you guys reached Miyagi not too long ago. It was really dark, Oikawa offered to walk you home, and you declined, but he insisted. You checked the time on your phone '7:56pm'
"Tooru?"
"Mhm?"
"Do you..do you want to stay over..? My moms out of town and she'll be back the day after tommorow. And I thought we could spend time, it's okay if you don't want to!"
"What about my clothes?"
"Well you have sweatpants in your bag right?"
"Mhm"
"And you can have one of the hoodies you gave me. You know your hoodie, you gave me because I was cold"
"Okay."
You reached your house, and entered it, Oikawa went into the shower, he was quite used to your house, since he was frequently over.
On the other hand you went to change out of your clothes, and a new comfy pair. You then went into the kitchen and took out the alien cookies you and Oikawa made (details in a another chapter) and set them on a plate.
You went to the couch and waiting patiently for Oikawa to finish. A few minutes later he came out in a new set of clothes and wet hair. He sat down next to you.
"Tooru, I'm proud of you."
"Really?" You could see visible tears started to take shape in his eyes.
"Your the most sweetest and kindest person I've ever met. And your the best captain I've ever seen."
And with this you laid on the couch and opened your arms, indicating him to come lay on you. And so he did so. He put his face into your stomach, and wrapped his arms around your back, you slowly patted his head.
"It's okay to let your emotions out Tooru."
And with this Oikawa Tooru, cried into your arms, while you patted his back and hugged him ever so often. Eventually he fell asleep, on you. And you just smiled at his peaceful but quiet face.
"I love you Tooru."
