Sofia manage to reached the resort with no another harm and she was thankful for that. Ever since the accident happened earlier, she was already absent-minded. Hate, pain, and sorrow were all in hes heart and mind after that scene. It feels like everything that happened two years ago came back and refreshed all the pain.
"Oh my God Sofie !!! What happened ?!" Loren said worriedly.
She did not realize that Loren had already opened her cars' door which she forgot to lock earlier. She was just looking blankly at Loren then she heard her friends voices.
"Oh my G !!! Are you okay Sofia? The back of your car was severely damaged. Are you in pain? Do you want us to take you to the hospital?" Venus' eyes were widely open and full of worries. Her feminine voice unexpectedly sounds louder and full of concern at this moment.
"D * mn Sofia !!! Who did this to you? I'll break every single bone in his body!!! Are you okay?" angry and full of worries says Alexandria.
"Sofia? What took you so long, and why is it the bumper of your car was damaged? Isn't it an etiquette to say goodbye before ending the call?" Serene asked from behind while walking towards the side of her car.
She is still not in her mind. She was just staring at her friends, they all looked worried except for Serene who seems to can't absorb what really happened.
"Serene!!! We know you, but now I can't say anything. I'm speechless. Isn't Sofia obviously got into an accident? Alexandria annoyingly said.
Serene stared at Alexandria for a couple of seconds before she spoke again"You're now talking Alexandria so that does mean that you are not speechless and....." she paused and slowly her eyes widen with full of worries and concern "OH MY GOSH !!!! Really Sofia? What happened? Are you okay? Let me check you. Let's get inside."
"Alexandria, Serene realized what happened to Sofia just now." Venus said in a low voice.
Alexandria just shook her head.
Loren shook her head and said, "Come on girls, it seems like she's in a state of shock. Let's bring her in."
The three nodded and helped Loren to assist her. The moment they've reached her private office, she felt that she was slowly releasing the restrained breathing from earlier.
"Here, drink this." said Venus and handed her a glass of water.
"Thanks." he thanked Venus before drinking from the glass.
4 pairs of eyes are intently looking at her. She knows that they are waiting for her to speak and tell them what happened.
After drinking the water, she finally speaks "I'm physically okay so please stop worrying" she paused.
"A demon crashed into my car earlier. I'm all good and I'm not feeling severe pain. I'm just a little bit dizzy, good thing I had my seatbelt locked." she explained. She then heard them all sigh at the same time as if a thorn had been pulled out of their chests.
"Good thing you're okay, but wait, you said physically. What do you mean?" Loren asked worriedly.
"I s-saaa-" she can't say the words.
"Oh my !! Physically okay? It's just two, either physically or mentally." Serenes' eyes widely open as she knelt in front of her and touched her face, "You're physically okay. So that means, you're not mentally okay? Oh shoooot! Are you now crazy? Now I felt sorry that I did not took up the Psychiatry. If I did, I could probably help you. I'm sorry Sofie. " she sad with a sad face before embracing Sofia.
"How I wish you were really insanes' doctor, Serene. Because if you were, I'm sure you would understand them better. If there is a person who could be able to understand them, It is definitely you." Alexandra said.
"Ahm, Serene? I'm still in my proper state of mind, so please let go of me now so I could continue and tell you what really happened." she said while Serene was still hugging her tightly.
"Hayyys! That's a relief." she said and sighed.
"So, you're saying?" Loren asked.
"I saw him." her face darkened.
"Saw, who?" Venus asked.
"Dillon Axe Giffer Vargas. Only child of David and Elizabeth Vargas." she said and gritted her teeth in anger.
All of her friends look shocked. No one spoke and just waited for what she would say next.
"That f * cking bastard and son of a demon, hit my car!" she paused, "Of all the people, why him? I don't know what I felt when I saw him. I want to slap him, cussed at him, hurt him and make him feel the pain his parents made me feel. The way he acts , it seems like he doesn't know what his parents did. But I'm not dumb not to know that it's impossible. He's the f * cking future of Vargas Industries, there is no way that he's not aware of his parents' dirty business. " she said. She's out of breath. She's livid.
"Relax Sofia. The joke of fate was on you. Tge world seems to small for you and the people who's responsible for the death of your parents. You should think straight. Don't let them ruin your life. We don't even know if they are planning on something, you have to be prepared. " Alexandra said as she was trying to calm her down, "We all know that Vargas has all the connections to know that until now you haven't stopped investigating them." Alexandra continued.
"I don't care if they knew it or not. I will make sure to get the justice for my parents and I will surely bring all of them down. I'm willing to sacrifice everything that I have just to return them to the hell where they came from." she wanted to cry in so much anger.
"Okay. We all know that you are a fighter Sofia, but for now let's just relax. There are many things you need to consider and prioritize. You need those things to fight. Trust me, the right time will come when you will get the justice. And until that day, all of us will just be here. We are just here to support you and catch your back if we needed to" said Serene.
She sighed then spoke, "Thank you."
"Of all the things you've said Serene, that was probably the most sensible." laughed Alexandra.
"Whatever!" Serene replied and rolled her eyes.
They all just laughed as she continued the story of why she was hit. It garnered mixed comments and reactions from her friends. What else could she expect? They laughed their ass out because of her stupidity.
"Any questions?" Dillon asked the board members and clients as he was about to end the meeting.
Everyone remains quiet.
"If none, then you all are free to go. Meeting dismissed." he said and ended the meeting.
He left the conference room and walked back to his office.
Before entering, he first called Rafael, his secretary.
"Rafael, in my office."
"Yes sir." Rafael stood up then followed him.
Sitting in the swivel chair, he turned to Rafael before saying, "What's next?" he asked.
"You're free until tonight sir, your next appointment will be at 6PM. Dinner meeting with the landlord of the site that you're planning to buy in Laguna." Rafael answered
"Okay." he said.
"Anything else that you need sir?" Rafael asked.
"Nope. That's it. I will call you if I need something." he replied.
"Anytime sir, I'm just at my table." Rafael said before going outside.
He is massaging his head as the memory of the accident earlier comes in to his mind again. He's forcing himself to remember a thing that has something to do with the woman. He's thinking of the reasons why she is very angry with him. If her reason was her damaged car, she's obviously capable of buying a new one. She even told him that she could indeed buy a new one. If not then she should have accepted his offer to pay for all the damages, but she did not. He's still trying to find the answers for his questions. What debt she's talking about? When that debt happened? And how it happened? As far as he knows they are wealthy even before, though his father was just a simple businessman he could tell that they had enough so there's no way his mother or father would borrow money to anyone. He was sure he had never seen or encountered her in the business field. He could surely remember her if she had seen her even just once.
"I need to know who you are and what I did wrong to you." he said while looking at the emptiness.
He was startled by a knock on his door.
"Come in!" he shouted.
Adrian entered the room. He frowned and was about to ask what this man is doing here when he remembers something. He stood up and walked to met Adrian at the center.
"What have you done to my penthouse's door?? You moron !!!" he shouted angrily and was about to strangle Adrian.
But before he could do it, Adrian quickly ran to the long sofa. "Chill Dillon, I told you that you have to see the door to answer your first question. Didn't I? Adrian laughingly said.
"So, that's your way to enter my house. Are you nuts? You seems like a member of the pro house thieves" he said incredulously.
"With this handsome face of mine, you suspected me of being a member of the professional house thieves? Maybe you forgot Hapler is my surname, Vargas." he bragged and sat down on the sofa,
"Don't be so mad and just chill. Your door was beautifully fixed." Adrian said.
"And who fixed it? As far as I remember, you don't even know how to hold a hammer" he asked crookedly.
"The Cruz twins, Vin even installed a scanner to make your house high-tech. Your house looks like a grumpy old mans living area." Adrian calmly said.
"Are you kidding me, huh Adrian? And could you te me what hell are you doing here?" he asked and headed back to his desk and sat down in his swivel chair.
"I'm bored. I'm with Vin and Vincent, they just bought something downstairs but they are also coming." Adrian reasoned.
"Is it really normal for you guys that whenever you are bored, I was the person that comes into that blank head of yours? What do you think of me, a clown who can remove your boredom?" he paused "Oh man! And or maybe you think of my office as a park?" he asked one after another.
"You know the answer, Dillon." Adrian answered.
After Adrian spoke, the twins entered.
"Here come the two pests." he said while looking at the twins.
"If that's the case, I therefore conclude that I'm the most handsome among all the pests." Vincent said and put down the fast food plastic bag on top of his desk.
"What is this?" he asked.
"It's a bomb. Check it." Vincent replied sarcastically.
"F*ck you!" he hissed at Vincent.
"We just want us to eat together dude. Don't be too grumpy. This is your payment for us. We've fixed your door, did Adrian told you?." Vincent said.
He sighed as a sign of defeat, "Okay fine! Let's eat so you can get all of your ass out of office. But before that, let me remind you Cruz that it's Adrian who wrecked my door. So please, stop pestering me and start breaking the bones of Adrian."
"Whatever Dillon." Adrian said.
"By the way, why are you here in the Philippines Adrian, I know you will not just go home and leave your company in Glasgow and for some other reason if what you came here is not that important." Vincent asked.
"I'm looking for someone." Adrian seriously answered.
"Woah! Someone, huh? Who's that someone then?" Vincent asked again. He just stared at the three.
"None of your f * cking business, Vincent." Adrian answered.
Vincent pouted, "Thats so stingy of yours! Don't you dare ask for my help, huh?" he said like a child threatening Adrian.
"Sure!I'll rather asked for your twins' help than yours Buddy!HAHAHA" Adrian laughed and Vincent frowned even more.
"Just give me the name, I'll take care of it." said Vin.
"Are you here to eat? Or to talk?" he said impatiently
"Let's eat. I have so many things to do, Morons. And Adrian, make sure you don't get hurt by whoever you are looking for. You look serious, and I hate it when I'm seeing you like that." he seriously said.
"No worries Dillon. I'm always serious but this time, it will be different." Adrian answered.
He stared at Adrian for a couple of seconds before he spoke, "Well then, let's it."
