When you got home you walked into your mother and father's room. You noticed then were glaring at each other like they were about to fight. "Hello, mother and father." They both turned and your mother looked happy and mad, while your father seemed thrilled. "I know that I ran away because I was upset, but the war is soon and I need to work with the soldiers to know how we are going to do this. I will use my father's sword… Oh, shoot the sword!" You ran out and back to the fort and saw Gio sleeping at the small table. You smiled at him and walked over to get your father's sword and your sheath. When you picked it up it made a metal sound and Gio drew his sword and pinned you to the wall of the fort. His eyes widened when he saw you. "Sorry… I didn't realize you came back." You smiled and ignored your shaking legs. "You scared me." You laughed and Gio looked at you with a face filled with guilt. "Sorry…" You shrugged. "I forgot the sword. I will be busy training with the soldiers so I might not have time to come out here. I hope you don't mind." Gio nodded and sat back down at the table. "Bye. See you before the war." You walked back home and sighed. "Why is he so cold to me now? I bet that it has something to do with those papers…" You sighed more and continued walking back to the castle.
You walked into the castle and held out your father's sword. "Here you go, father." Your mother gasped and you looked at her, then followed where her eyes were looking. "That sheath is only meant for a general." You scanned over it and looked back up to your mother. "The man gave it to me in the house because I didn't have money at the time. Then when I came back with money one of my friends had already paid it off. I'm not sure how he did yet, but I'll figure it out later." Your father smiled and headed to the training field. You took his smile as him asking you to follow him so you ran after and when you got out there you saw all of the men standing in neat lines as if awaiting orders. "My daughter, Lucille, will be joining our army. She will use my sword and you will respect her as you respect me. If I see any disrespect you will lose an arm. Begin training." You turned to your father with joy all over your face. "Really? I can join? I can also use your sword?" Your father nodded and smiled. "I trust you didn't run away for nothing." You grinned and ran out into the training area.
"Father, will you train with me?" Your father pulled out a different sword and drew it. "On guard!" You went back and forth with your father until you swung at a perfect angle and knocked his sword out of his hands. "Oh, great soldier, where ever did you get such skills?" You laughed and looked around to see everyone staring at you in shock. You heard a metal sound and lunged your sword at your father's neck, not slicing it. "You learn well, but you stopped looking at me." You nodded and pulled your sword back. You kept a sharp eye on your father. Thank goodness you did because you noticed the signal your father did to the others and you began to fight the other soldiers until you were the only one left standing. "Nice job young one." You glared at your father and he grinned. "Good job Lucille Winters. You will be a promising soldier." You beamed at your father and put your sword in your sheath. Just as you were about to begin a conversation with your father a butler came running in. "My Lord! The first prince of the Cabot kingdom is here and I don't know his intentions." Your father looked at you and sighed. "Stay here Lucy. I will be back. Focus on your… Well, focus." You nodded and watched your father fast walk to the room where he would meet those who came to the castle. Normally you would go and listen in, but you had to train now.
You trained with everyone against you until you saw your father coming out. "Father! Did something happen?" He had a deep scowl on his face and he grumbled. "The first prince of Cabot has taken a liking to you." Your father grabbed his sword and began destroying a training dummy. You sighed and turned back to the soldiers. "Lucille. We are going to war with them. I am worried because I don't know if the interest in you is because of something good or bad. Please be careful as we go to war. I don't wish to lose you to them." You nodded and continued to train.

Today was the day before the war with Cabot. You ran to your fort and sat there waiting for Gio to show up. You promised yourself you would stay there all day until Gio showed up. You went inside when it got chilly and you saw there was half of a loaf left. You grinned and pulled it out. "He must've been out there a lot." You went outside once more and decided to practice your swings. As you practiced you felt warm from the constant moving. You were sweating as if it wasn't cold outside. You stopped when you heard someone coming near "State your name." The steps stopped and you heard a laugh. "Gio." You smiled and he came in through the trees. "Are you going to war tomorrow against my kingdom?" You nodded and smiled. "My father is letting me. My mother is still unsure about it, but my father says I show great promise as a soldier. I hope our side wins. Ah! Sorry… I never really thought about how we are on opposite sides…" Gio shrugged. "Whoever wins. I think Cabot will win though… I have heard some talk of foul play." You looked at Gio shocked. "I must tell my father." You were about to rush off, but Gio held you in place. "Please stay. We might not talk for a while after the war. I just want to talk freely with you for now." You nodded and sat on the ground. "So I see you have been here a lot." Gio nodded and looked around. "This feels like a dream to me. It is like fresh air on a whole new level." You nodded and looked at him, but your eyes widened in shock when you saw he was staring directly at you. "Crap… I have to get going… I have a lot to do before the war." You nodded and stood up. "Bye Gio. See you some point later." You hugged Gio and ran off back to your castle. You ran up to your room and fell asleep. You were tired, you completely forgot to tell your father about the foul play.

When you woke up in the morning you immediately got into your armor and grabbed your sword before heading down to the throne room. Once you got to the throne room you kneeled before your father. When he knighted you, you stood and faced the army. "I will be with all of you during the war. Please be safe and try your best to win." Everyone 'urah-ed' and you stood next to your father.
Your father stood up and led the army of men to the battlefield. When you got to the battlefield you saw the other side's army coming in fast. "Once they get here, prepare to fight. These men will do anything to win. Don't let down your guard and make sure you don't die." 'yes sir!' echoed throughout the battlefield, and you felt a sense of pride knowing that you were truly in the army; as you had always dreamed.
"CHARGE!" Your attention was attracted to the other side when you saw their men charging towards you. Immediately you dodged as many as you could. some men came to your aid and fought off the men trying to attack you. When you turned and saw no one, you were about to go to another area but you were suddenly hit on the back of the neck. You turned and saw a man wearing a helmet that covered his face before you fainted.
