Chapter 12 - Special Chapter: Her Valentine Date

Note: This chapter is not related to the current flow of the story. It's an alternate world where Yllaria, Ambrose, and Cain are 4th year high school students. Yllaria's 15, while the boys are 17 years old. Yves, Yllaria's Dad, is a company CEO.

This scene just sprang out of my head and I felt the need to type it despite of my headache. Hee hee~

Happy Valentine's Day! Enjoy!

"Make sure it's already reserved later, okay?" I heard Daddy talk on the phone as I wore my school shoes. I guess he'll be busy again later, huh?

I actually wanted to prepare dinner for him since it's Valentine's day, but I guess he will be going home late. I sighed and tried to divert my thoughts.

"I'll be going now, Daddy." I told Daddy and nodded at me while he was walking with someone in the phone. He was dressed in his formal suit, clearly ready to go to his office.

"Take care, Yllaria." He said and I smiled at him before heading out. Mr. Sebastian, my Dad's assistant, smiled at me and I smiled back.

"Happy Valentine's, Mr. Sebastian." I greeted him and he gave me a small bow.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Miss Yllaria." He greeted in his formal voice. I entered the car and the driver started the engine. The ride was silent but it wasn't awkward.

- At School -

I walked down the hallway and I felt a bunch of eyes staring at me. I mentally sighed and stared at the bunch of chocolates that occupied both of my hands.

Ah, Valentine's day is really stressful at some point. What am I going to do with this?

"Want me to help?" I slightly jumped out of surprise when someone whispered at my left ear. I turned my head and glared at Ambrose who was now smirking at me. "Stop appearing out of nowhere, Ambrose." I told him and he just chuckled.

"Where are you heading?" I sighed and continued to walk. He followed beside me. "I'll bring these to the Student Council Office and leave it there for a while. I'll go back here after patrolling the booths." I explained and he simply nodded. I heard the students around buzzing like bees, obviously chattering about Ambrose and I.

"It must be hard for you, Miss President." He faked pity and I rolled my eyes with his farce. "Shut up. How about you? It's quite a surprise that you're not bringing any chocolate with you." Ambrose's quite popular here, since he has good looks and he's really talented. His grin went wider with my remark.

"Oh? I didn't think that our dear President is keeping an eye at someone like me." He held his chest and wiped his imaginary tears, acting like he was touched. My irritation rose up and I felt like bashing his head on the nearest wall. He must have noticed my annoyance and he just laughed. "Don't worry, miss Pres. I left the gifts at my locker and I'll get it later." He explained and I sighed.

We continued walking until we reached the front of the office door. Ambrose opened the door for me and I slightly smiled with his action. He might be a jerk, but he's kind when it actually counts.

"Thank you." I told him and entered the office. I immediately noticed the mountain of chocolates in the Vice President's table and I chuckled. I guess Cain's really popular with the ladies, huh.

I went to my table and placed the chocolates above it. There was no other people here, so I guess that they already went out to patrol. I stretched for a while and brought my sling bag. It contained my wallet and phone, and I brought 5,000 pesos just in case someone might try to drag me to their booths.

"Let's do this, Yllaria." I whispered and headed out of the office.

- Afternoon -

"Finally!" I sighed and dropped to my chair. My money's all consumed and I received a lot of chocolates again. It was already around 5 and it was already dark outside. Te other officers went home already and the only one who didn't leave yet was Cain. He was also sitting on his chair, massaging his head. The mountain of chocolates in his table clearly got bigger.

"Ah, so tiring." He said and I laughed a little. Cain looked at me with a smile.

"Are you fine, Yllaria?" He asked me and I nodded. "Yeah. I somehow managed to survive this day." I said and we both laughed. He was also swarmed by lots of girls today and it was really funny and pitiful to see.

I closed my eyes for a while and I was shocked to feel a cold thing touch my left cheek. I immediately opened my eyes and I saw Cain in front of me, holding an ice cream.

"Let's eat? I guess we need some sugar to replenish our energy." He said and I nodded. I accepted the ice cream and I squealed in delight because it was in cookies-and-cream flavor. I opened it and started to eat the ice cream. It didn't take me five minutes before I finished it.

"You really like that flavor, huh?" Cain remarked and I nodded at him. "Yes, I love it so much!" I told him like a kid and he just chuckled with my reaction.

"Actually..." I looked at him, waiting for his words. I noticed his ears going red and he scratched his neck. "Ahm... Can I ask you for a--" His sentence was cut when the school's speaker system rang.

"Yo, Miss President." My eyes widened when I recognized Ambrose's voice. "Let me get straight to the point, would you be my--" Before he could continue his words, the electricity suddenly shut down and the lights went off. It was dark when someone covered my mouth. I tried to struggle but it was useless.

"Let's go, Miss Yllaria." My forehead knotted when I recognized Sebastian's voice.

What's happening?

I followed his lead and I think we're already heading out of the school. I was shocked when lights were softly shining outside the scho. A red carpet was placed and it was like an aisle towards a car. I squinted my eyes and I gasped when I saw a familiar figure from afar.

He slowly walked towards me, holding a bunch of pink roses in his right hand. I chuckled when he was already standing in front of me.

"Daddy." I said and smiled at him. He gave me a small smile and I accepted the roses that he gave. I was shocked when he bowed like a prince and handed out his right hand.

"Let's go, my dear princess?" He asked me and I softly laughed.

"I thought you'll be busy." I told him but he just smiled.

"I can always make time for my dearest daughter." I smiled with his remark. "And I can't just let anyone ask my daughter for a date." I chuckled when his face darkened. From the corner of my eye, I noticed Cain and Ambrose staring at us. He's really protective of me.

'Make sure it's already reserved later, okay?' I remembered what he said on the phone from this morning. I guess he already reserved a restaurant for us.

Oh dear, what a sweet father.

I accepted his hand and sweetly smiled at him.

"Let's go, Daddy." I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and his eyes widened. He immediately composed himself and gave me a smile. We headed to the car and I couldn't hide my happiness.

Right now, I don't need a boyfriend to give me chocolates or flowers. I'm fine being single, because I'm loved by the man I treasure the most. Even the sweetest chocolate can't compare to a father's love.

Today, my Valentine's date is my dearest father.
