Stress knotted the muscles in Evanna's shoulders, and she slumped her body against the door of her bed chamber. She returned from meeting with her father, all evidence pointing towards Queen Eleanor. King Osian didn't seem shocked, yet the surprise still flickered across his features, if only for a moment.
Evanna never looked too much into the King and Queen's relationship, but surely, being married to someone for so many years and bearing children together, there had to be something between them. The princess honestly couldn't see many great qualities in the woman, and if there were, she hadn't seen them, except she was actually a decent queen.
Nothing related to internal affairs and the dramas between the family, but working with nobles working for the kingdom, the Queen seemed adequate. The trial was to begin in a few days, and the Queen and leading noble houses were being informed. Fortunately most of the nobility were already staying at the palace.
