1000 years ago a deep cave diver looking for rare gems to sell found a cave full of crystals, of all shapes, sizes, and colors. After some research it was found to be a great source of energy and power. This sparking the next great industrial revolution, because it was more abundant than oil and coal, as well as a cleaner safer source of energy allowing for the earth to heal from years of pollution. While some that acted in the opposite manners were found to be stronger and more flexible then any metal of the time.

The joy of the new material only lasted for a few hundred years...till the haze beast began pouring out of the caves, killing 1/3rd of the worlds overall population in a matter of days.

Guns were useless against them because they couldn't penetrate the beast skin. All was not lost, as humans were pushed further away from the major city's that were built around the caves; thanks to one family, the Saint family.

The saint family lead by Bauldr Saint, were the first to step forward and reveal their powers later named blessings, as the abilities and skills were channelled from the gods the majority of people believed! The saint family ability being light manipulation. When they stepped forward many other families came forward soon after; some sharing how to acquire their abilities. To better push back the threat of the haze beast.

The stronger families kept their abilities secret, allowing them to gain power, money, ether resources and influence.

Those that choose to fight the beast were called divers, those that wielded the powers of the gods. But gods are jealous beings, for you can only ever learn the power of one, or risk the pain of destruction of your soul!

As the treat of extinction passed, and people with blessings increased the fundamental ways of warfare changed with them. It was discovered that each haze beast had a kinda of refined ether Cyrstal that could be made into weapons and armor that gave stat benefits to their weirder. The type of beast, as well as its overall classification (basic, intermediate, advanced, unique, epic, myth, legendary, demigod, and catastrophe) effected the gears effect on ones body.

When this was discovered the families began consolidating their resources, wile fighting other families showing there power and taking control of larger ether caves.

This lead to the rise of the 7 great families, who guarded their powers Secrets as if they guarded the heavens from demons and titans alike.

Each family had powers strong enough to whip out massive amounts of enemy within seconds, but a truce was set up. The seven families though having different specialties, began to keep each other in check. Keeping each other from destroying other families unprovoked, though their deeds in the shadows remained untouched.
