-The month of Wynnethel, the 1st, year ATC 3,527-
"No... Adalia.. My love..."
His mind started racing again, thinking back. Had she seemed sickly? No, maybe not herself the past week or so but not ill in any way. So. Was she poisoned.. ? If so, then why her and not him... ? Touching the necklace he realized he must've gained a better immune system, with the purity of a Core from a true Wizarol, themselves.
Quickly realizing their daughter, Andy, he moved to her crib beside their bed and peered into it. Exhaling in relief, after seeing her tiny chest raise and fall with each breath, a light snore acclaimed to her breathing.
"My brothers and sisters.. I promise, if one of them tried to move against me... "Quickly, he walked back to the changing room and cracking the door open to peer inside, "There's been a change, Ila.. I need to check a few things first, but we will be leaving Calysto tonight. Look through the clothes here, find yourself a heavy cloak of some kind. I will adjust the size for you when I return." And just like that, before they could even start to form a reply the door was closed again with Ila's mouth hanging open.
In using the elemental powers of the Duon, he tied strands of Air and Fire together, bending the little bit of light rays that were around him, ultimately making him invisible to the naked eye.
Ila'Mu started, with him suddenly disappearing like so was worried something had happened and opened her mouth, "He-"
Realizing her reaction quickly, being that he was the one that figured out the key of bending light around an object and it was also a very closely guarded secret. "Don't worry, I'm still here. I discovered a way to make it so you're virtually invisible. I will return soon."
The still open door to the bedroom closed, as if of it's own free will and quickly Ila'Mu got to work, looking through the closets and cupboards lining the walls.
Quickly, Heiracles reached the bedroom door attached to the rest of the castle, as he reached out with threads of Air into the hallway to make sure there was nine present. Slowly he opened the door, peeking through the crack to confirm that the hallway was clear before stepping through the doorway into the hallway.
Slowly, he crept through the empty hallway way, lit only at every other sconce, for his Manipulation only blocked eyes from seeing him not the sound his breathing or footsteps made.
Before long, he came to a doorway lining the same side of the stone hallway as his own bedroom and paused for a brief moment. Inhaling deeply and then slowly exhaling he quietly opened the door to his younger brother, Damocle's, bedroom and slipped inside the room silently, closing the door behind himself as quietly and quickly as he had opened it.
Waiting a brief moment for his eyes to adjust, since the only light that was accessible within Damocle's room was the light of the stars sparkling in the sky, along with the nightly Aurora Borealis that reflected into the sky off of the Ring. As the darkness in the room receded he looked about, noticing how deathly quiet it was, seeing as this particular sibling was one of the only ones he considered himself close to, he knew how loud his brother tended to snore..
Almost, he rushed to the bed. Almost.. As he approached he could see the shadow of Damocle's sleeping form, his chest didn't appear to rise or fall. Quickly, Heiracles Manipulated threads of Fire, manifesting a small fire in his hand close to his brothers face to see if he looked similar to his wife. He did..
Sighing heavily, the Fire he had formed faded away into the elemental atmosphere and hung his head in sorrow.
"So, poison, then..."

I want to dedicate a section of each chapter to the love of my life, Kreation. For supporting my dream and urging me forward on my desires to finally 'put pen to paper', so to speak by writing out my book for you all to read, thank you so much for the support and love. 🥰
