"B-Better one?" Rebecca questioned in a confused tone.
"I mean, this is the best quality you can have and I can guarantee that even in the Imperial Capital, you won't find better quality clothes" Rebecca answered.
"What? Are you sure?" Maeve questioned.
"I am, I used to work in the Imperial capital and shifted here due to personnel reasons" Rebecca answered.
"Are you seriously telling me that we can't have better quality clothes for her?" Ace questioned.
"Well, to be perfectly honest, I didn't even expect that someone will ask for better quality clothes than this. This is quite expensive you know? Even Sect Leaders of renowned sect won't buy more than required" Rebecca replied.
Ace and Maeve made a dejected expression, of course, they can't let Gracie wear these clothes, the only option was to return to Herferd but the problem was, they weren't sure that they can come back here.
Traveling from a stronger to a weaker world is a random scenario, one can't choose the world they will go into.
Seeing their dejected expressions, Rebecca questioned, "Actually, do you have the clothes you are talking about? I mean, the ones which are better quality than these?"
"We do" Ace answered as he pulled out Gracie's skirt from his storage ring and placed it on the table.
Rebecca grabbed the cloth between her 2 fingers and her eyes turned wide in shock before they sparkled, she looked at Ace with a joyful expression and asked excitedly, "Where did you get this!?"
"Well, it is from a place faraway…" Maeve answered.
"Do you have many clothes like these!?" Rebecca questioned.
"A lot" Maeve answered as she remembers a room full of Gracie's clothes.
"Well, then I can use these clothes to make a new one!" Rebecca answered.
"You can do that!?" Maeve questioned with a glimpse of hope.
"I can, but I have a condition!" Rebecca proposed.
"What is it?" Maeve questioned.
"You can't find any other tailor to do this job!" Rebecca conditioned.
"Oh? Just that?" Ace questioned.
"Yeah!"
"Alright, we wouldn't have actually bothered finding another one, it is already a hassle finding one" Ace shrugged.
"Alright, how many clothes can you give right now?"
"How many do you need?" Maeve smiled. They can probably open a shop with the stock of clothes they have.
…
The exchange ended as Ace handed a couple of Gracie's old clothes to Rebecca, and then Rebecca took Gracie's measurement while Gracie giggled, maybe it felt ticklish to the little Nightingale.
"She's really cute~" Rebecca complimented.
"I know…" Ace answered as she held Gracie carefully as if she was a treasure.
"So, are there any other Races other than Humans and Elves?" Ace questioned, Herferd didn't have anything like elves, he wanted to know more about it. While he was also cursing the man they stole the memory of for not knowing anything.
"There are, I don't know exactly where you have come from since you don't know about these races but there are many races.
The Dwarfs, a race that mostly has an affinity with Earth Element, they are very skilled in making weapons, and most of the strong weapons in this empire are made by them.
Then comes the beastmen, though they are grouped as one race, they are many races in themselves but since their numbers aren't much, they are grouped as one. They are also called demi-humans, as they can be described as a mixture of humans and other animals like cats, dogs, cows, etc.
There are many other races whose characteristics are not known and they are grouped as 'Others', like the Vampires, the Cyclopes, etc." Rebecca explained and Ace and Maeve nodded in understanding.
"Thank you very much, Miss Rebecca.
We will return after a month to see the results" Ace spoke and Maeve nodded.
Ace, Maeve, and Gracie returned to their courtyard and spent time together.
…
Just like that, 8 years passed by happily.
Ace, right now was standing in front of Rebecca's shop while Rebecca had stars in her eyes.
"These are without a doubt the cutest clothes I have ever made in my entire life!" Rebecca exclaimed.
"Mhm, I can see that these sure are cute, my nightingale would love it" Ace nodded politely. After all these years, his Imperial Aura has vanished and he is more open when he talks to people. Of course, he isn't like an open book that everyone can read as he still doesn't trust others, but he has become much more approachable.
"So, how much do you want for these, Sister Rebecca?" Ace questioned.
"Well, it doesn't really matter, I am already happy that you are allowing me to make these cute clothes for that little angel. Seeing someone as cute as her wearing the clothes I make is already like a dream come true, I don't need any money" Rebecca answered.
"Still, you are working so hard, it would be impolite to not give you something for your hard work. Keep these and please don't reject them, the last time you did so, Maeve gave me a long lecture" Ace replied with a smile as he placed a bag full of gold coins.
"As extravagant as ever I see" Rebecca sighed as she counted the money.
"Alright! See you soon, Sister Rebecca" Ace replied with a smile as he left.
"Come again! And bring Gracie with you next time!" Rebecca waved her hands with a smile on her face.
Ace walked towards his sect, even though he was walking, his legs were moving fast while he had an excited smile on his face.
As he entered his sect, many disciples bowed but he just nodded and dashed towards his courtyard.
"I am back~" He sang as he entered inside his courtyard.
"Papa!" As soon as he spoke those words, the door opened and a petite figure ran outside. Her voice was cheerful and it felt like flowers bloomed when she appeared.
Angel.
That was the only word that can come to one's mind when they see her.
She was Gracie, Ace's Nightingale.
Gracie had black colored hairs that are tied into twin tails. She was 1.2 meters tall, had a petite, huggable figure while she wore a red-colored skirt. Her face still had child fat, her cute and soft cheeks raised an urge to just hug and kiss her in any person's heart, male or female alike, two cute dimples appear on her face when she smiles. She had big, golden-colored eyes just like her father.
Gracie quickly jumped in her father's embrace and Ace welcomed her with open arms.
"Papa!" Gracie cried cheerfully as she hugged her father.
"Ah~ My Nightingale~ Did you miss me?" Ace sang as he carried the girl carefully like she was someone delicate and will break with a little force.
"I did!" Gracie answered as she closed her eyes and enjoyed her father's pats.
"Are you two serious? You were just gone for few minutes…" Another melodious voice was heard as Maeve made her entrance, she was as pretty as anyone remembers.
"Hmph! You won't understand. It is Father-Daughter bond!" Ace complained.
"Bleh~" Gracie stuck out her small tongue and showed it to Maeve.
"Alright, have you eaten?" Ace questioned and Gracie shook her head.
"Well, she did take your habit, didn't she?" Ace sighed as he walked towards Maeve with Gracie in her arms.
Just like Maeve, Gracie never eats food before her father. She only eats when she is sitting on her father's lap.
Maeve smiled as the family entered the house.
Just as planned, Gracie sat on Ace's lap merrily while Maeve placed the meals on the table. As Maeve sat beside the 2, Gracie hurriedly grabbed the first bite. She then turned around and brought the bite in front of Ace's mouth.
"And where do you think she learned that?" Maeve questioned.
"That's just her love for me~ Ahh" Ace sung as he opened his mouth. Gracie quickly fed Ace before grabbing another bite and extending her hands towards Maeve.
"Why not me first? Ahh" Maeve complained before opening her mouth.
"Tehee~" Gracie stuck her tongue out before she fed Maeve and then started munching on the meal merrily.
Then Ace grabbed a bite and fed it to Gracie and then Maeve, before eating himself. Maeve repeated his actions and fed Gracie and then Ace.
The family enjoyed the dinner and Gracie chimed.
"Tomorrow I will be able to learn magic, right Papa!?"
"Of course! Tomorrow my nightingale will be 8 years old, after we celebrate your birthday, we will awaken your powers~" Ace answered while he circled his figure on Gracie's belly button as he said the last line.
"Ehehe~ Papa~ It 'twicckles'" Grace giggled.
"Oh? It tickles? Where? Here? Or is it here?" Ace spoke as he tickled all over Gracie's body.
"Papa~ Hahahaha~" Gracie laughed while Maeve just smiled.
...
"Alright, it's time to sleep, Gracie" Maeve spoke and Gracie nodded.
Ace picked Gracie up as the three walked into the bedroom.
"So, who's going to tell me a new story?" Gracie questioned.
"I know, it's Mama's turn!" Gracie sang as she pointed towards Maeve.
"Do you want to know about a princess who was saved by the hero?" Maeve questioned with a smile.
"I do! I do!" Gracie bloomed in joy.
They all sat on the bed while Gracie was placed in the middle of the two.
"Once upon a time, there was a princess…" Maeve continued.
…
"And just like that, the hero and the princess lived happily after" Maeve completed.
"Happily after… just like Gracie, Papa and Mama…" Gracie muttered as she entered the dreamland.
Ace carefully picked Gracie and placed her on another bed.
"Hey, why did you tell her an incomplete story?" Ace questioned.
"What do you mean?" Maeve questioned.
"Where is the part where the hero scared the princess?"
"What do you mean? Why would he scare her when he protected her from a monster?"
"Well, he did protect her from the monster, but did you forget what happened when he showed her his own monster?"
"What are you tal-…" Maeve was about to question back before she realized something; she quickly turned towards Ace and saw him having a perverted smile on his face.
"Let me help you remember that part" Ace smiled and jumped on Maeve.
"Roar~"
"Anh~"
