Chapter 22 - I’ll Just Let The Students Duel With Each Other Then

"The people in this world know about Divinities"

Ace's eyes widened in surprise before Maeve could say anything else, he grabbed her hand and his wings popped out.

"We need to go!" Ace declared as he flew to the sky while the man's body turned into ashes with a wave of his hand.

"What happened?" Maeve questioned in concern.

"Gracie's awake!" Ace answered in panic as he landed in his courtyard.

"Gracie's awake?" Maeve blurted out.

They rushed towards the bedroom and saw Gracie sitting on her crib, rubbing her right eyes with her hand while looking around with a confused expression.

"Gracie~ You are awake~" Ace sang as he rushed towards Gracie and picked her up while Maeve stood beside him.

Sleepily, Gracie hugged Ace's neck and placed her head on his shoulder. Ace kneaded her back carefully and before long, Gracie closed her eyes and entered the dreamland.

*Sigh*

Ace and Maeve sighed in relief and Ace placed Gracie back on her crib.

"Thank god we weren't late…" Maeve mumbled.

"Mhm…" Ace nodded as they both sat on the bed.

"So, you said that people in this world know about Divinities?" Ace questioned, coming back to the previous topic.

"I won't exactly say 'know', they are more like legends but the accuracy of these legends is scary. The Wings, the powers, the legends even mentioned about the Divine Seed" Maeve answered.

"Legends…" Ace mumbled.

"And there is one more thing… this world might be bigger in size than Herferd…" Maeve added.

"Hm?"

"Yup, this place that they call the outer world, it is about half the size of Herferd and according to rumors, the inner world is a lot larger than this"

"That is weird…" Ace agreed.

Though the size of the world doesn't necessarily depict its strength, in general, the stronger world is bigger in size than a weaker world.

"Does that mean this world is stronger than Herferd?" Maeve questioned.

"I don't think so, I mean, think about it, first, this is called a medieval world for a reason.

Second, even though this outer world is half the size of Herferd, the Qi here is very scarce, not even enough to enter the 3rd layer.

Maybe this world is just huge in size or maybe there is actually no inner world?" Ace proposed.

"Maybe that is the case…" Maeve muttered.

"Well, it isn't really our concern, and I have a lot more important things to do rather than thinking about all this…" Ace spoke while he glanced at Maeve's chest.

"Oh? May I know what are these 'other important things' that you have to do?" Maeve questioned with a smile.

"Hm? You may~" Ace answered and pounced on Maeve.

"Anh~

Haha~"

~~~
The next morning, Maeve woke up with a bright smile on her face. She then turned around and saw Ace having an unsightly expression.
"Hmm? Is something bothering you, hubby?" She questioned.
"I forgot to buy a new bed…" Ace grumbled.
"Pfft" Maeve couldn't help but laugh.
Ace stared at Maeve who was trying to cover her mouth, then he glanced at that seductive body, with perfect curves, those upright, proud, and curvy peaks, and those juicy looking lips caused Ace's body to heat up.
Without further ado, he jumped towards Maeve.
"Ehehe~"
But this time, Ace and Maeve's movements stopped as they heard Gracie's giggle.
"She's awake!" Maeve spoke.
"She's awake…" Ace repeated with the hint of complaint.
Maeve quickly stood up, wore her clothes, and picked Gracie up while Ace wore his pants.
Gracie rubbed her eyes as she looked around, her eyes fell on her father who was lying on the bed with a little frustrated look.
"Ehehe~" Gracie giggled and extended her hands towards Ace.
Within a second, the look on Ace's face turned into that of utter joy and he rushed towards Gracie.
"My Nightingale~" He sang and pulled Gracie in his embrace.
"Ehehe~" Gracie giggled happily and she grabbed Ace's nose with her small hands while Ace made different expressions, making her laugh even more.
Maeve stood beside them with a smile on her face but Ace soon pulled her into his embrace with his other hand. Her smile widened as she placed her head on Ace's shoulder.
"Hey, go take a bath… you have a class to attend…" Maeve muttered as they stayed like this for 20 minutes.
"How can I move if you are holding me like that?" Ace smiled.
Maeve soon realized that she was hugging Ace tightly while her head on his shoulder, she blushed and moved aside.
"Go… or you will be late…" She mumbled softly while not daring to look into Ace's eyes.
Ace wanted to stay like this for a little longer but he knew he had to go, with a sigh, he gave Gracie to Maeve and walked towards the bathroom.
Ace wore sect robes and left his courtyard with a tired sigh.
"Ugg… why do I have to work… can't I just stay in my house?" Ace questioned himself as he walked towards the classroom.
"Good morning, Elder Vorste!" Students greeted as Ace entered the classroom.
"Yeah… good morning…" Ace replied sleepily.
"Elder Vorste, what are we studying today?" A girl named Frankie questioned while she arched her chest up and had a soft smile on her face. She wore more than normal makeup, even a kid could tell what she was up to.
Ace was taken aback by her, not because of her behavior, but because of her question.
'I still don't know what to teach them…' Ace thought inwardly but soon, his eyes brightened as he got an amazing idea.
"We will be having duals again" Ace answered.
'I will just let them have duals till I learn something… if anyone asks, I will tell them that I am giving them more practical knowledge, Genius!" Ace exclaimed inwardly.
"But… didn't we have a duel yesterday?" Frankie questioned.
"Hmm? Do you really think I can judge all of your capabilities with just one fight? I need to learn about how capable you all are, only then will I be able to come up with a plan to teach all of you" Ace answered righteously.
"I understand… that is very thoughtful of you, Elder Vorste" Frankie answered with a smile as she tried to stick out her chest even more.
"don't try, they are small…" Ace muttered unconsciously.
"WHAT!?"
"Huh? Um… I mean, Line up! We are going to the practice grounds" Ace quickly changed the topic and ordered.
The disciples soon formed lines and they walked towards the practice grounds.
And just like that, Ace successfully wasted another day.
Ace then walked towards Elder Ryan's courtyard and knocked on the door.
"Elder Ace?" Elder Ryan muttered with a surprised look.
"Umm… Mr. Ryan, I am facing a small problem…" Ace started.
"So soon?" Elder Ryan mumbled to himself.
"Well, I don't know any spells to teach the disciples…" Ace revealed.
"Huh? But I was told that you are very strong, how did you even summon that fire if you don't know any spells?" Elder Ryan questioned.
"Umm… no, I mean, I do know spells but they are all spells that belong to my family, I can't reveal them to the public" Ace made an excuse.
"Oh, I understand… Well, I can't give you stronger spells, but I can give you normal spells, the ones that the outer core disciples use, will that help?" Elder Ryan questioned.
"I will be grateful" Ace answered with a smile and Elder Ryan smiled back.
"You can come inside and wait till I bring the spells" Elder Ryan invited and Ace nodded.
Elder Ryan's house wasn't very special; it mostly looked like the house Ace had but with no modification.
Ace sat on the nearby chair while Elder Ryan walked into another room.
...
"These are the spells we teach to the outer disciple" Elder Ryan informed as he returned with 3 books.
"Thank you for your help, Mr. Ryan" Ace thanked and stood up.
"You won't eat anything?" Elder Ryan questioned.
"Hmm? Umm… no… my wife must have prepared something for me" Ace rejected politely, Elder Ryan nodded and Ace quickly left.
"Hah~ I am back~" Ace sang.
"Welcome back hubby" Maeve replied.
"Ahh~ My nightingale! You missed me?" Ace exclaimed as he picked Gracie.
"Ehehe~" Gracie giggled in answer.
After playing with Gracie for a while, Ace kissed Maeve and they had lunch.
"I got some spells these people use" Ace spoke after they finished the food.
"Hmm? Are you interested in them?" Maeve questioned.
"Not really, I just need to learn them so I can teach it to the students…" Ace answered.
"Oh… you are a teacher now… yeah…" Maeve mumbled with a teasing tone.
"…" Ace remained silent and didn't answer.
"Will you be studying it now?" Maeve questioned.
"Huh? No way! I'll do it when Gracie takes her afternoon nap" Ace answered.
"What if you aren't able to learn it within that time?" Maeve questioned.
"I'll just let the students duel with each other then" Ace shrugged in response and continued playing with Gracie.
