With the old sect master of the Profound Sect weakening, the elders and the disciples were all in panic. They wanted to stop him from using his life to keep the barrier up. Sadly, they couldn't do so as it meant that their sect would be destroyed when the barrier disappeared. The elders beside the old sect master were in tears.
The elders said, "Sect Master, please, it's enough. Don't protect us anymore!"
"Nonsense! As the master of this sect, it's my responsibility to keep you all safe and alive. Even if that means giving up this old life, this barrier shall not fail. Don't give up; as long as the darkness retreated, the world would go back to normal!" said the old sect master of the Profound Sect.
"After my death, find the Holy Son; he will take my place as the new sect master. My only disciple, I will leave the Profound Sect in your care."
