The three humans plus Leng Jun and their elementals had successfully escaped from the area where those mad animals had gathered. Even so, they left behind two of their comrades who chose to buy some time for survival. The last thing they saw was the scene of Jeremy and Shiva falling amid the beast, and their survival is unknown.
The effects of the wing of fire that brought them away faded after the half-hour time was up and they experienced a freefall from high ground to land. Thankfully, there are trees to cushion their fall, and Chuchu lends a hand to prevent their deaths. This is the least he can do for Jeremy and Shiva, who choose to stay behind to buy them some time.
