One night, two nameless kits were born to a widowed mother. She was offered help by many other males, but her mate was the only one for her. She had lost her mate to a pack of dogs while protecting his future family. The name of her mate was General. He had grey fur with a single white front paw, and a white left ear. He used to be a house cat, but he ran away from the pampered life.
The female had no name, and she was faceless. Sadness clouded her eyes, and it grew every day. One day, she finally granted the two nameless kits names. They were Bandit, and Smoke. The name Bandit came from the dogs who robbed her of her mate, and Smoke came from her dark cloud that she hid in until her death.
When the kits opened their eyes, she was only met with great grief. Bandit's eyes were the color of the golden sky during sunset. Like her mate's. Soon, she couldn't see at him anymore. She was only able to see a white screen, and that only filled her with even more grief. One day, she carried her kits to the side of a road. There was nothing, but a dark sky, brown grass, and dirt.
Beyond the gross plains lies a forest, but she was stumbling in the darkness. Because of her tiredness, she placed the kits down. She backed away for a second to think. Only for a second, however, it was her last stand. After her life flashed before her empty eyes, they suddenly returned to their soulful amber selves.
She saw her beautiful kits on the side of the road. She saw her mate's eyes on her son, and regret slowly filled her empty heart. She regretted naming her kits, and gave them new names that they will never know until they reach the afterlife. "Bandit and Smoke will be no more, for their new names will be Dusk and Tobias." She whispered in a soft, dying tone.
Then her kits started mewling for her comfort. She managed to drag her awkward body to her kits, and they stopped meowing. As a final good-bye, she hummed a comforting, and warm melancholic melody, that way they will never forget their mother's loving warmth. "Bye. Dusk and Tobias..." Soon, it started to all fade away. She was enclosed in darkness, until a bright light shone upon her and her kits. Her grey fur turned white, and her eyes were free of darkness.
She looked up, and saw the love of her life, reaching out to her. He murmured, "Those are beautiful names, Cream. Ready to come with me?" She finally remembered her name. Her name is Cecilia, and her nickname is Cream. She has no family, but she had the greatest freinds ever, and she turned them down. Cecilia was more than ready to finally return to go with her mate, and no where else.
She left her lifeless body, and it stayed warm with love and joy, so her kits will be happy until they're found by their savior.
