How could he have been so stupid?
He was meant to just observe from afar and not interfere. And what did he do? try and get a better look. And now he's being chased by some shadow man.
All he did was lightly open the door to get a better look at what was happening. Only to be met with a void and hundreds of red eyes. He may have known about Stands but that didn't mean he had one to fight back, let alone something like this
Jumping down another flight of stairs he noticed in the corner of his eye that the all-consuming black void was creeping ever closer. He was honestly lucky that it hadn't fully caught up yet, barely scrapping his feet' backs.
Thinking quickly he kicked off the ground and pushed himself into the door in front of him. He knew that a window inside would lead to the back alley and hopefully the void won't follow him.
As he entered the room he noticed a sudden bright light blocking his vision. Not only that but there was a sudden feeling of dirt underneath his feet; The smell of foliage permeated throughout the air and the sound of various species of birds could be heard from all directions.
Looking around he found himself in what looked to be some kind of jungle, judging by the trees and uneven terrain. Turning around he was faced with the door he came through. Hesitantly he moved to open it but was stopped when he heard leaves rustle behind him.
"Ah, you're finally here. Welcome To Welcome To The Jungle. A bit of a mouth I know but it's not like it really matters to someone who's about to die." A young man around mid 20's said as he appeared from the bushes. Slicked back shoulder-length blue hair, red and black eyes and a gentle calming smile. Overtop his black button-up shirt he wore a long blue jacket, that's tail split into five equal segments. Atop the collar and sleeves was a black line going down to the cuffs.
"Honestly I wasn't the famed Jacques to be following us but, eh, shows what I know." The young man said calmly.
This put Jacques on guard. He wondered if his employer set him up, intending for him to die.
As if reading his mind the young man began to reassure him. "Oh, don't worry, your employer has nothing to do with this. It's just that the Sun, Moon and stars don't like it when some random guy starts following Enrico around, especially someone like you." Even though he tried to sound nice his voice became serious as he talked.
"Look I get it." Jacques started. "You don't want me investigating him, I'll back off." He was hoping that whoever he was currently talking to would be more reasonable than whoever was controlling that void. Those thoughts however were quickly dashed as he heard the man sigh. Both became more serious as the man looked at Jacques with a little disgust.
"You don't get it, do you? We allowed you to live until now, we just didn't want any witnesses...Well, that and that Dark, Darker yet Darker is a picky eater." It was when he finished talking that the foliage around them sprung to life and went to attack him.
Quickly spinning around, Jaques went to open the door behind him hoping that it would take him back to the hotel. Only to find that it didn't lead anywhere. It was just a regular door in the middle of a small open area. A second later he was constricted from all directions by vines. Each tightening around what it was wrapping. Crunches and snaps could be as the vines were slowly breaking his bones.
His struggles were meaningly against the vines, all while the person responsible was enjoying a nice cup of coffee that his Stand brought him, uncaring for the pain he was going through.
"Mmm, I should probably tell Jackdaw that he should get going now huh." The man thought aloud as he wandered into the jungle as the vines finally crushed Jacques.
As the man wandered through the jungle he quite quickly came to his destination. A rather modern-looking train station. There were some strange-looking people there loading boxes onto a strange-looking train.
(AN: here's the train)
They were tall humanoid creatures that wore dark blue uniforms similar to the ones worn by steam train staff. Their eyes were circular while their mouths were oval-shaped. Both were empty, seemingly leading to a void. The females had shoulder-length black hair while the males had theirs neatly cut.
As they saw him approach them they respectfully nodded towards him while those with their hands-free tipped their hats to him before continuing working.
As If to welcome him the locomotive's horn began blowing as its door opened. Jackdaw stepped out, readjusting his black and orange striped high-collar trench coat. "Oh good, you're already here." he spoke rather plainly.
Goshawk chuckled a bit at his younger yet taller bother. He wasn't mad, not at all.
"Good to know that the man's dead." He said very matter-of-factly, taking out a pocket watch as he continued. "You're on time, that's good. I'll be leaving with gramps soon. I'll be stopping in Japan before I get to Cairo, so if you want anything let me know now." Jackdaw was a very straightforward young man. He never beat around the bush and expected others to be the same when talking around him.
Goshawk hummed before responding. "Some regional coffee would be nice. Only buy a pack of each since Welcome To The Jungle will replicate it." He said in his usual laid-back tone.
"Get something for Jackrabbit and Astra she's into Japanese culture." A sudden mature voice spoke up.
The young men didn't need to look at the voice to know who it was. The tall man wore a long black fading to white, trench coat; the inside of the coat resembled a moving universe. Underneath that he wore a black tight and sleeveless shirt with dark red accents that outline his muscles. In his hand was a long curved black umbrella with a white line curving down the canopy.
Even though he looked relatively young he was the oldest out of all the personalities. "And besides..." He started as Dark, Darker yet Darker flared up underneath his feet. "I want to see this Dio face to face."
