The group of soldiers passed through the transporter and arrived at a large autumn forest. The leaves on the trees were yellowing and some were falling off already, giving the place a calming presence.
Quinn got down from the transporter and began walking away from it, the rest of the team also came down and got into step with him.
"This place is beautiful," Alice said in awe while looking around. She turned to Quinn, trying to get his opinion on it, but she only found a blank look on his face.
She was about to touch him but Misaka touched her shoulder and shook her head at her, telling her to leave him be for now.
Quinn led the group till they arrived at the gate leading into the city proper. Once they were there he signed a few papers and whispered something to the guard there. The guard's eyes widened before he saluted and bolted off.
"What was that?" Gray asked.
"Nothing" Quinn answered. "I just sent a message to the city lord"
