Everyone watched the participants but most people kept their eyes on Hiyami.
Fire erupted from the corners of the stage as Hiyami and Desuro stood on opposite sides of the stage.
"Ready..set..fight!" Suok said, starting the fight.
Desuro immediately charged at Hiyami "you think I'm gonna go easy on you because you're a girl?! Think again! Destruction!"
A giant hammer appeared in his hands, he immediately swung it at Hiyami but she dodged to quick for his eyes to even see.
He looked around for her then she tapped on his shoulder.
He turned around and she was smiling at him "too slow" she said.
He swung his hammer at her again "ahhh!" He missed. He kept swinging it at her and he continued to miss. He started to breath heavily as he continued.
"What is this guy trying to do exactly?" Misuri on the sidelines said.
"He's an idiot. He has no type of fighting strategy all he knows is strength and determination" Fuyuko responded.
"Hm..well those two things alone won't win him the tournament, it actually might be his downfall" Hikaru said.
"You're way to slow, just give it up, do some other technique" Hiyami said to Desuro.
"N-no! You can't tell me what I should do! All my life I've waited to show my strength, to show that I am strong, and that's what I'm gonna do!"
"I bet you think you've won don't you crazy girl?" Desuro paused for a second, well you haven't..rage!!" Desuro yelled as a orange aura started to surround his body.
Hiyami just stared at him as they were on opposite sides of the stage again.
"W-what is that?" Blake asked.
"That's a spell that he has called 'rage'..it basically enhances every physical ability and can heal small wounds on your body. It takes some magic but it's worth it" Fuyuko explained.
"You think you're amazing, you think you're better than me? You're nothing but a psycho!" Desuro yelled and charged at Hiyami.
Hiyami froze slightly, giving Desuro an open.
He took that opening and punched her directly in the face, knocking her down "ahhh!"
The crowd started to roar as Desuro finally got a hit on Hiyami.
"It seems Desuro finally landed an attack on Hiyami! What will she do to return the favor?!" Suok said.
"I..I feel so bad for people like you, you know?" Hiyami said as she laid on the ground.
"What do you mean?! I don't care how you feel you're gonna lose!" Desuro responded, angrily.
"I feel bad because people like you always give it there all..and guess what? They always end up losing in the end. Just take a look at the bleachers, even if you happen to beat me you're not beating anyone else in this tournament so let me ask..why do you try?"
Desuro looked over at the bleachers, feeling stunned and taking in what she said. "Y-you're wrong! I can do whatever I put my mind and heart to!"
"Can you? Or is that what someone told you to believe? You lack technique and speed. What do you intend to do with only power, you're weak" Hiyami said as she looked up at Desuro.
~Flashback~
"Desuro honey, be sure to be quiet your dad is not in the best condition right now and he's gonna need a lot of rest" Desuros mom said.
"Alright mom no problem there" Desuro responded.
They both walked into the hospital bed to reveal desuros dad hooked up to a bunch of machines, he was looking pale and it was as if his eyes had sunken into his face.
"D-dad?!" Desuro yelled and ran over to him.
"Honey I said remain quiet" desuros mom said.
They both walked over to a chair and sat beside the bed that his dad was in
"H-hey little man" desuros dad said.
"H-hey dad..how are you?" Desuro asked
"I'm doing okay little man..I want you to listen to me though really quickly. C-can you do that for me?" Desuros dad said as he coughed some.
"Yes, go ahead I don't mind. Anything at all go ahead and tell me" Desuro said, looking at his dad.
"T-The hard truth is I might not be around for much longer you k-know? Y-you know what that means don't you? You're gonna need to take place as king of the house. You can do that c-can't you?" His dad said with a smile
"D-dad..you're gonna be fine we're gonna get you out of here, you're gonna get the help you need I just know it" Desuro said as he started to tear up.
"You're the man Desuro..remain the man okay? Remain honorable, remain loyal and faithful. Let that passion drive you. I want you to know that you can do whatever you put your mind and heart to..anything at all. I love you guys" his dad said with a smile as he teared up some as well.
Desuro and his mom slowly leaned into desuros dad and hugged him gently "we love you to babe" desuros mom said.
Desuros dad slowly closed his eyes, still smiling.
"I love you too dad..you're gonna be alr-" Desuro said but he couldn't get his words out as he was interrupted by a beeping sound.
Desuros eyes widened then he moved off of his dad and looked at one of the screens, revealing the flat line showing his dad had passed.
"Dad? Dad? Wake up.." he said calmly as he looked at his dad
"Come on we gotta get you home soon.....get up!" Desuro yelled as he started to cry loudly.
Desuros mom immediately hugged him, crying as well "I'm sorry Desuro..I'm so sorry"
"N-no this can't be..dad!" Desuro yelled again, tears were overflowing from his eyes down his face as doctors began rushing in.
~present~
"M-my dad said that..my dad told me I could do anything I put my mind and heart to..and I'm gonna believe him!" He charged at Hiyami with tears in his eyes. He slammed the ground but Hiyami dodged it.
"Double pistols!" Hiyami yelled as she stood up.
Two pistols appeared in her hand and she did a flip then shot them at Desuro. She then landed and looked at Desuro.
He blocked them with his hammer then slammed the ground, causing the stage to crack, and Hiyami to fall over.
Desuro sprinted towards her and was about to slam the hammer at her but she shot him directly in the leg.
She then rolled over and stood up, panting slightly 'that was close' she thought to herself
Desuro fell down to his knees then fell down on the stage.
"D-Desuro!" Fuyuko yelled from the sidelines.
"H-he's okay right..? Desuro get up! Is that all your dedication goes to? You're supposed to be a warrior right? Use your strength to push through! Do you hear me!" Akihito yelled from the sidelines to Desuro.
Desuro had one eye shut as he crawled towards Hiyami. Hiyami looked at him in shock.
The crowd began to go wild looking at Desuro.
'He can still move?!' Hiyami thought to herself.
"I'm gonna end this now.." She then slowly walked towards him "silent kiss" she said and kissed him on the cheek, putting Desuro to sleep.
The crowd had then gone silent and so did everyone on the sidelines
"Hiyami has won and will go on to the next round!" Suok said.
Hiyami looked down at Desuro then decided to undo her spell.
Desuro woke up and looked around.
"You did great Desuro!" Akihito yelled out to him.
People started to cheer as Desuro slowly got up. Tears started to form in desuros eyes.
"I-I'm..im gonna win next time, be ready for me because I'm coming!" Desuro yelled as the crowd continued to cheer. He then walked off the stage in pain and to the sidelines.
"Nice job..but shouldn't you go see some doctor?" Fuyuko said to Desuro.
Desuro looked at her surprised then smiled "thank you, but no she didn't hit anything lethal, just my leg"
Hiyami looked down then slowly walked off of the stage 'they're all applauding him..why..why?! Why?! They're not applauding me and I won! I should kill them all! I should slaughter every single person in here and that's what I'm gonna do!' Hiyami thought to herself as she was about to say a spell
"You did great Hiyami!" Akihito said, smiling at her. Everyone on the sidelines went quiet and looked at Akihito.
"You did amazing..keep up the good fighting so you can fight me in the last round" Akihito said, still smiling.
Hiyami looked at Akihito in shock then walked down and over to the bleachers. She then sat beside him "thank you.." she said calmly.
Akihito nodded.
Hikaru looked at the both of them.
"Alright it's time to get our next fight on, we have the cool kid, the calm kid, we have...Hikaru!!" Suok said as the crowd started cheering.
"Vs the loyal guy, the tall redhead, we have Blake!!" Suok said, as the crowd cheered for him as well.
Blake and Hikaru both walked on opposite sides of the stage and looked at eachother "let's do our best okay?!" Blake said with a smile.
"Can do" Hikaru responded with a smile as well.
