Allen was at a loss for words.
[Allen]: Invaders? Did I hear that right?
[Arc]: You might not realize it, but they have already crossed the land's borders between continents and have taken over the smaller cities. While the demons take over cities, the ancient spirits take refuge to the forest and old temples. They either help people and give blessings to them, or they defend and even kill any trespassers that seem evil to them. The demons on the other hand can do the same, they can help powerful men for their thirst for power by forging a contract with the demons.
[Allen]: Just how many people have been involved with spirits and demons?
[Arc]: From what i believe, it has already had a city full of demons and affected people that we call "The Fallen" and from what lisa saw, there's a village full of spirits and people who are involved with them, called "The Gifted."
[Allen]: How do you know all this?!
[Arc]: Let me show you…
Arc stood up and chanted an old chant, as he chanted the words, the air around them slowly started to change.
[Arc]: [Soul Contract: Valdos]!
A spirit came forth out of thin air. A string, although hard to see, connected Arc's right arm and the spirit's chest.
[Arc]: Allen, this is Valdos, he is a spirit of holy light. He has been with me since I was born. Hence he's my soul spirit. He also knows everything that I've been through and remembers it forever.
[Allen]: Is it harmless?
[Arc]: It is. Spirits like Valdos think similarly to us humans— don't worry, he won't attack you.
[Valdos]: ...greetings... I didn't mean to scare you…. I'm not used to talking to people other than Arc, Lisa and Aris.
[Allen]: Aris?
[Lisa]: Well that would be my Soul Demon.
[Allen]: Lisa?! Were you listening this whole time?
[Lisa]: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I heard Valdos was being summoned so I checked to see what was going on. I see that Valdos hasn't changed. I'll call Aris.
Lisa went in to grab a needle, and pricked her finger, letting a drop of blood on the ground as she chanted an occult-like language. A circle with cryptic symbols formed on the ground, and an entity manifested itself within it, almost out of thin air.
[Aris]: Yes Lisa?
[Lisa]: Someone is looking for you.
[Aris]: Hmm? ...oh! It's been a while, Enas.
[Valdos]: Yeah… it has.
[Aris]: Still shy as ever, that what's so cute about you~
Valdos and Aris left the house and ran into the fields nearby to chat.
[Lisa]: They seem to be having fun. The food is almost ready, come inside!
[Arc]: Okay, we'll be there in a few minutes.
Lisa went back in, meanwhile Allen and Arc proceeded to the fields, for a more private space.
[Arc]: I'm grateful for everything you've done for Lisa, may the spirits ever be in your side forever.
Allen, a little taken aback by Arc's formality.
[Allen]: U-um thank you, I'll take my leave then.
[Arc]: You're not joining us?
[Allen]: I still have to discuss something with the village, we'll talk again soon.
[Arc]: Thank you.
[Allen]: Now, I must leave you with your wife, you two have a lot of catching up to do.
Allen takes his leave and joins with the other villagers to the chief's home to discuss their plans.
[Allen]: Is everyone present?
[Lavi]: Everyone who is important at least.
[Allen]: Just you, me, the chief, and the hunters? Whatever, let's start with the couple.
[Chief]: What do you plan on doing to them?
[Allen]: We'll wait until the babies are born. Hunters, what's the status of your forages in the nearby forest?
[Hunter Joe]: It's getting pretty bad, the hunts are being more aggressive than usual. And to make things worse, a demon has been located in the nearby forest.
[Hunter Elsa]: We tried to kill it but we almost got killed ourselves.
[Hunter Zoe]: We're only alive because of it…
[Lavi]: What's IT? What are you talking about?
[Hunter Zoe]: Beings that they call themselves, "Spirits" saved us from the demon.
[Allen]: Spirits?
[Chief]: Are they hostile?
[Hunter Zoe]: Excuse my rudeness chief but I SAID THEY SAVED US FROM THE DEMON FROM DEATH!
[Hunter Joe]: Zoe, Calm down.
[Hunter Zoe]: I can't do this right now, I'll go home now if you don't mind.
[Allen]: Take care of yourself ok?
[Hunter Zoe]: I will…
[Hunter Elsa]: We'll go together, sorry Allen.
[Allen]: It's okay, just rest for now.
Zoe and Elsa left the chief house, leaving Allen, Lavi, The Chief, and Joe. After discussing something for the village, they left and went to their homes. Lavi and Allen had a little chat before going to bed.
[Lavi]: How is she?
[Allen]: She's happy, and Arc finally woke up.
[Lavi]: That's good, did he say anything?
[Allen]: Their past, where they came from, spirits and demons.
[Lavi]: I guess I missed a lot of things, I'll visit tomorrow then.
[Allen]: Heh, you should, Lisa's cooking is great.
They both went to sleep after a long day of work. Months had gone by since Arc's recovery from his coma. He and Lisa have been living a peaceful life while they wait for the children to be born. One morning, Allen and Lavi visit Arc and Lisa's home. They knock on her door.
[Lisa]: Coming!
She opens the door to see Allen and Lavi outside.
[Lisa]: Oh! Come in!
[Allen]: Lisa?! Why are you opening the door? Where's Arc?
[Lisa]: Arc left to help the hunters to better understand what they are fighting tomorrow.
[Lavi]: The demon in the forest?
[Lisa]: Yes, they also went to find the spirits who saved the hunters for help. He might be gone for the rest of the day.
[Lavi]: Do you want us to keep you company?
[Lisa]: No no, I don't want you to trouble you boys.
[Allen]: It's okay, we can help you around the house.
[Lisa]: Thank you, I'm exhausted… I'll be in my room.
Lavi looked around the house and found some exotic items around the room.
[Allen]: She seems tired, do you want to stay here and wait for Arc to come back?
[Lavi]: Sure, where are you going?
[Allen]: I'll visit the doctor for some pain killing remedies, she said her body was in pain earlier.
[Lavi]: All right, you go do that, I'll stay here to watch over her.
Allen left the house and Lavi went to the bedroom to check Lisa. She was already asleep, so Lavi grabbed a chair and sat in the bedroom to keep Lisa company.While he waited for either Arc or Allen to come back, Lavi grabbed a book from the shelf and read it. A few hours later, Lisa woke up. She yawns.
[Lisa]: Lavi?
[Lavi]: How are you feeling?
[Lisa]: I'm fine, the twins are just being playful.
[Lavi]: May I?
[Lisa]: Sure.
Lavi placed his hand in Lisa's stomach and felt a movement, a gentle smile crept on his face.
[Lisa]: Hehehe, they really like you.
[Lavi]: I'm glad.
[Lisa]: ARGH!!!
[Lavi]: Are you okay?
[Lisa]: N-no, I think i'm going into labor!
[Lavi]: I'll call help, I'll be right back!
[Lisa]: There's no time!
Lavi was panicking and didn't know what to do, in that moment, Lavi asked Lisa if he could carry her in his back to carry her to the doctor's house. The moment that she agreed, he carried her and rushed to the doctor's house with the help of his magic.
[Lavi]: Are you ready Lisa?
[Lisa]: Ready for wha—
A flicker of electrifying shock manifested below Lavi's soles, a pair of boots made of lightning materialize into Lavi's feet. He carried Lisa with both arms; he ran fast and agile, but not without caution.
[Lavi]: Hold on Lisa, we're almost there!
They eventually arrived, and the had her placed inside his home office,
[Lavi]: Lisa, I'll be right back okay? I'll find Allen and Arc.
[Lisa]: No! Please I can't do this alone!
Lavi was forced to make a decision: go find Allen and Arc or be there for Lisa. The man that Lavi is, he would find a way to do both, no matter the cost.
[Lavi]: Lisa, doctor, cover your ears now!
[Lisa]: Wha—
[Doctor]: Ma'am, just cover your ears!
Lisa and the Doctor covered their ears as Lavi stepped outside.
[Lavi]: Let my strike shake the earth, (Lightning Bolt)!
The clouds began to darken above him as a lightning bolt struck the ground; he went back inside.
[Lisa]: Why did you do that?
[Lavi]: I've alerted them.
[Doctor]: Okay, get ready Lavi, you're going to support Lisa on this. Three… two… one… PUSH!
Lisa pushed through the labor and Lavi was there helping her. After almost an hour of struggle, two beautiful babies were born.
