[Unknown POV]

Long forgotten, discarded from what it was my purpose, everything I was mean to be, came to an end the moment Adam was born, his very existence brought forth upon me the end of my purpose, his birth, his coming stole the very thing that gave my existence a purpose, and now I would steal everything from him, his friends, his world, his enemies, it would be all mine to destroy.

For thousands of years, I gathered power from the outer cosmos, energy to enact my plan, creating an army of unstoppable monsters capable of eliminating gods and mortals with ease. My new reason to exist would take time to fully accomplish, but time was all I had, and time I would invest.

Adam and everything he had ever loved, hated, ignored and more would soon come to an end, and Father would see the error of his ways replacing me.

[Adam POV]

Killing the monsters that had all of the sudden attacked me on my way to battle Shiva, took…. Sometimes, they were weaker than me, but what made them incredible foes was how they operated, they were relentless, no pain, no break, they just kept on fighting to the bitter end, never showing any signs of losing their drive or energy, it was vexing how they never slowed down, when I myself at more than one point was starting to lose my breath.

Killing what it seemed to be truly unkillable was a long and tedious process that involved a lot of trial and error, after realizing their bodies would regenerate no matter how much damage I dealt, I decided to change my approach, I told myself, Adam, nothing is truly immortal, at least not within this realm of existence, which meant I wasn't tackling this situation correctly.

From that point I started to analyze them, for anything that would give away their weakness, any behavioral difference between them… no matter how minuscule it was, no matter how unimportant they looked, I was looking for anything that would make them different from each other in any conceivable way, and at the same time, I was looking for what made them the same. So as I fought and evaded their relentless assault I focused on every detail I could possible perceive in the heat on battle, for one they all smell like death, but not like a corpse, more like something devoid of life, also they all had spears at one… point, but for reason I don't understand they threw them away during the battle… this was the point I decided to bet on a wild guess, what if their weakness was something so obvious anyone would ignore it, something so blatantly stupid, that was in the end brilliant.

This epiphany didn't immediately led me to the answer I was looking for, but after a few extra hours going over every possible idiotic idea like trying to kill them with glitter, chocolate, and my most lethal weapon the documentary about documentaries about making docu--- you all get the point, in the end, they all proved to be immune to my most powerful ideas, which in turn highlighted something, what if their spears were their weakness.

I know it was a guess, a very wild one at that, but I mean, it kinda made sense, first they would fight with it, and then pretend to ditch it up by upgrading it, with the spear out of the way, their weakness was safe, and from that point, all they had to do was tire me out.

So, well… What did I have to lose? I mean, after attacking them with glitter… and other stuff I… rather not disclose… I was at the point no idea was too low for me to try, heck I was about to try and see if anything related to sex was their weakness, fortunately for me my latest idea proved to be victorious.

I had to admit, whoever thought of hiding their entire core inside the spear, was both a genius and the most retarded being in the multiverse, for one, yes, the spear served its purpose, but ultimately left the entities on a bad spot at the beginning of a fight, for example… If I had started the fight at full power, I would've broken the spear like a twig, alas, I was stubborn, and my stubbornness cost me a fucking weekend.

Anyways, after finding out their painfully obvious weakness now that I knew about it, the fight went from annoying to easy and annoying, one by one I killed them, erasing no less than one hundred god knows what from the face of the earth, bringing us back to the present, where I was… standing above a mountain, happy my nightmare had ended, "I really hope Shiva doesn't get angry at me, cause I won't fight anyone today," at this, a note appeared in front of me, that said from Shiva to Adam.

---Adam, sup, Shiva here… I must apologize for this, but I think we will have to reschedule our battle for a later date, as I was waiting for you… some things I am now calling demonic punching bags appeared, and for hours tried and failed to kill me, it wasn't until I realized the kept on throwing their weapons away like a kid hiding his porn magazine from his overly religious parents that I realized, there was something wrong… so from there… well, I killed them all, anyways… I will contact you to reschedule our battle when our tight lives allow us to, see ya!--

"Neat," I sighed, taking a deep breath, but then something dawned on me, if Shiva had been attacked, and this wasn't an entirely personal attack, then… had other locations been under attack too, was Hestia in danger?! Was my world in danger?!

Realizing the severity of the situation, I decided to first check on my world, as it was considerably less protected than Asgard, "Athena!" I called out mentally.

"Fear not, we are… mostly okay, Sun Wukong arrived and with his clones overwhelmed the invasion," Athena replied almost immediately, "We suffered some losses from the attack before the Monkey King arrived, but nothing time won't fix," it was left unsaid no mortal died, good… the kids were safe.

Now, Hestia, before I could finish that train of thought, I felt the bifrost open, followed by the landing of Thor, a few meters away from me, "Brother!" Thor shouted, his armor and weapons covered in blood, "You're okay…" he sighed, relieved.

"Is… Hestia okay?" I asked, the words feeling like deep cuts in my mouth, just imagining her under the stress I had suffered…

"That she is, she battled like a true Valkyrie, keeping the kids safe from any harm," Thor nodded, oh thank… WAIT WHAAAT, Hestia fought?! "Oh yeah, she did say there was a chance you would have this reaction, I will wait for you to recover from the shock of hearing the news of Hestia the slayer of demons,"

"I… well," I chuckled, feeling both happy and angry with the situation, for one she was okay, and that was all it mattered, but on the other hand, I had failed to protect her once again, forcing her to do something she hates with all her might, fighting.
