It didn't take me long to figure out where I was, a world of illusion, a fake reality fabricated to get something from me, where time and space no longer mattered. I came to this conclusion after I noticed the world was in some kind of loop, always leading to the same place, even the people within this fake world were nothing but puppets, with their interactions being pre-programmed, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. The question was, what did my father want from me, and how is me being here... was going to help him obtain whatever it was that he desired?

Magic didn't seem to work around here, and my grimoire didn't answer my calls. I was trapped... in a looped world that frankly made no sense, every day started at the same point, cultists summoning me from the depths of the void, and then asking me to bring forth the end of the world, each day I would try different answers... perhaps how I interacted with them would affect the outcome of this little game he was playing, but unfortunately, no matter what I answered... or did, the loop stayed the same, well. I guess I can't really say that can I? each day, the fake world would change a bit, as if... rotting with each reset, the puppets would decay with each time the world around me restarted, looking more and more like corpses as this strange torture continued.

Was I trapped without escape? I doubted that was the case, otherwise, there was no point in letting me know this reality he had created was fake, with his power and knowledge creating something more, believable was easy, then again he was a being known to rejoice in the suffering of others, one that wants chaos just for chaos sake, with motives no one can fully understand. But something told me, that while he was most likely enjoying my current dilemma, that being trapped for all eternity was not his end goal for me, which meant that there was a way to escape this, a way to break from the prison he had forced me to live in for the past... I don't know how long.

Awakening the outer beast within you, those were the words that he said... that stuck the most to me... there had to be a clue on that, a hiding meaning... how can one awaken something you didn't even know you had, is like asking a blind guy how he looks like, he can't really tell... he can guess, but not really tell... and most importantly do I really want to awaken said power if it came from him? It honestly scared me what would happen if I do so, would I still be me? or would I become the monster he wants me to be.

In the end, it didn't matter. If I didn't escape this prison, Hestia would pay the consequences of my weakness, of my failures.... and I couldn't allow that, she was the one being that didn't deserve haft of the shit she had to deal with on a daily basis, "It's time... to use that spell again..." I chuckled.

"Your will be done," The head fake cultist knelt down, repeating that line for the hundredth time, and I snorted... to think my father thought so little of me, he had the AI around on the lowest level, then again, if he didn't dumb down this world, the chance of me never discovering the truth would've been high, "Magic doesn't work here, and the void doesn't answer to me within this fake walls, but curses, they don't need any mana, they just need fuel... and fuel can be anything..." This much was true, curses were the only thing that I had hopes they worked within this world, but... a curse was only as strong as the fuel you put in it, the more you get... the more you have to give, the reason why I hadn't tried using them was because they lacked firepower, they were mostly there to debilitate... Well, most of them, there was one curse with power beyond anything.

"Please, oh dark one, bring forth the destruction of this world," The cultists chanted, and I laughed.

And with a little smile on my face, I replied, "With pleasure....." taking a deep breath, I focused on the world around me, the trees, the people, the borders... every little detail, "I call the darkness onto me from deepest depths of earth and sea from ancient evils unawoken break that, that can't be broken. To blackest night I pledge my soul and crush my heart to burning coal to summon forth a deathly power to see this fake world devoured '' unlike last time, where I almost died and had to use this particular spell not knowing what it did, this time... I was fully aware of its capabilities, and to break free paid the ultimate price, putting everything on the line.

As soon as those words left my mouth, the world around me started to crumble, and the cultists smiled, and cheered, that was new… as for the price, I the curse had already taken what I owned, and thanks to that I felt as my life started to fade… I wasn't worried though, I was but one… there were still two other Adams out there, and even if this affected them, missing with whatever my demonic father wanted, was a good enough victory.

"Bravo," Nyarlathotep clapped his hands with mad delight, as he appeared in front of me with a human guise, "I didn't expect you to start the process of awakening so soon, I was putting my money on the hundred years, maybe a thousand if you were a late bloomer, but a month, that was out of my charts, champ, I am proud," he smiled.

"Please, elaborate," I asked, feeling the black lines of the curse slowly expand through my body, desperately trying to reach my heart.

"There are various ways to awaken an outer god, some more effective than others… and some of those ways apply to you and your power… in this case… first you had to destroy an entire universe, granted the universe I sent you to was small, and all the people were within my control, but you erased them without a second thought," Nyarlathotep smiled, and my eyes widen at that, had I killed an entire universe with my curse… "Ah, don't put that face.... They all wanted to die, for centuries all they ever thought of was… dying, and you delivered… in all fairness, it was mercy, I think…" he chuckled, "Oh, well… as for the second step… you had to give a way your main weakness, your humanity… and you did with that wonderful spell,"

"I.. this spell is supposed to kill this version of me," I stated, and he laughed.

"If you were a human, yes… but as a god… it won't kill you, but it will consume you, finally breaking all the barriers you have set… leaving only, Adam the Void King of Darkness," Nyarlathotep laughed, and I snorted.

"I bet you went to edgy.com to find that title," I snorted, "I won't… even if I become evil incarnated, follow your will…" and with that, the curse lines reached my heart.

"Oh, I'm counting on that,"
