Chapter 3 - ENGINE STYLES

A brief chapter on Engines and power resource.

COMBUSTION;

A cheap,somewhat light engine that takes after it's ancient ancestors,providing overall EN,at a slight cost of recharge once the fuels are expended. Combustion type engines usually provide phenomenal movement speed and effective quick boosts. However unlike Energy-Style engines,Combustion engines have notoriously low stamina in high AP fights. These engines emit a yellow-orange exhaust since they use basic fossil fuels.

(Combustion Engines may enhance missiles,but are generally short lived in evasive stamina.)

PARTICLE:

Particle Engines use Kojima as their fuel,using motion and specialized particle agitators to produce a source of clean,near-limitless energy. Many refer to these generators as the commercial standard since they are relatively cheap and balanced. EN generation,as well as Speed and Quick Boost are more dependent on an efficient,balanced design. It is a commonly boasted feature for these generators to enhance an armored core's energy firepower. Though at times these engine features meet their match with the venerable Coral Generator. These engines emit a sky-blue emission as it effectively captures and uses Kojima Particles. The colors are caused by agitated Kojima particles being activated by electricity and motion,and being dispelled as a propellant.

(Particle Engines enhance energy-type weapons and gear,however the mech may suffer a bit of weight gain as this style is heavy and complex.)

CORAL;

A planetary hive-energy turned to a near limitless source of electrical energy by making use of Coral Ore and some airborne particles. This red element also happens to be a powerful fuel for many ACs,providing speed,durability and damage with the correct weapons. Many Coral Engines are combustion style,using an internal Coral culture container to prevent an AC from exhausting its fuel quickly. When used correctly,armored cores and their weapons can be effectively buffed due to a generalized shift of free energy. Similarly to particle engines,Coral powered equipment benefit the best from this spare energy. Coral Engines typically emit a rose red color as the Coral Culture produces energy that can be transmitted into propellants.

(Coral Engines have incredible endurance and buffing capabilities,making these engines a must-have additon to the armory. However,most Coral Engines are not commercial carriers,making a slight requirement to watch your weight as to not overburden the engine.)
