Chapter 23 - Relying on the System

After closing the bedroom door, Bick's lips curled into a cold smile. "These money-minded people really think that we're all alone and that we can be swallowed so easily?"

Kate was a little confused, thinking that this was exactly how it was!

Bick strode to the French window, pushed it open, and shouted outside, "If you want to swallow me, Bick, let's see if you have those good teeth!"

Bick's shout instantly provoked the mockery of the spies from various forces outside.

"Oh, my God! Listen to what that arrogant kid upstairs is saying?" A one-eyed man laughed exaggeratedly as he asked his companion who had installed the mechanical leg beside him.

"He's doubting the hellfire mercenary group's teeth. What a naive guy,"the mechanical leg replied with disdain.

"The Hellfire mercenary group has more than 300 official members, but it's a big force with more than 50 guns. Does he think that he can kill his way out with just a spear?"

"Perhaps, this kid wants to be a coward.10,000 energy points can only buy nutrient supply in Liberty Town. He can last until he dies of old age."

The spies did not pretend anymore. They gathered on the street below and laughed loudly.

"Okay, my dear, let's think of another way. Don't..." Kate saw this and was ready to comfort Bick. The two of them were indeed alone. It was useless to argue at this time.

But she couldn't finish her sentence.

Bick took out a big weapon that reflected the dim metal light from somewhere and placed it on the window.

The clear sound of machine gun fire immediately suppressed the laughter from below. The concrete pavement outside was smashed into pieces of stone and smoke rose into the air.

"Cough, cough..." Bick stopped shooting. He was prepared to shoot the entire metal bullet chain in one shot, but the smoke from the Maksim was too heavy. This was an improved version of smokeless gunpowder, if it was a black gunpowder version, this room would not be able to treat people.

"This, this is... how did you conjure it?" Kate pointed at the machine gun in front of her in shock, feeling that her brain was completely insufficient.

She swore that this machine gun was definitely not in the room before. Otherwise, how could she not see such a big thing?

"After you fell asleep last night, someone sent it over. I t was blocked by the curtains just now," Bick explained casually. He also felt that he was acting on impulse.

However, after what happened yesterday, the two of them had truly become friends. It wouldn't be a big deal if they showed a little abnormality.

Of course, the most important thing was that Bick couldn't wait to test his gun.

This was the reward given by the system upgrade after he successfully lost his virginity yesterday.

In the past, the system had never provided weapons other than the first-lot gift packs and novice gift packs.

Although the food and drinks were also very valuable in the wasteland world,

weapons were the foundation of survival in the wasteland.

Otherwise, no matter how many supplies there were, they would not be able to protect them.

"German-made maxim MG-08 heavy machine gun. Theoretical firing speed of 450 rounds per second. It is the absolute weapon of World War I and World War II.The system's description of this machine gun was so simple and domineering.

After Bick tried it out, he felt that the reputation was well-deserved. The spies outside who were shocked by the firing rate of the machine gun were the best confirmation.

After the shooting stopped for half a day, the spies were like little chickens that exploded in a crowd. They screamed and shouted random words, rolling and crawling as they ran away.

"The system upgrade gave a great gift to the machine gun. I wonder what's the reward for signing up today?" Bick could not help but rub his hands and directly clicked on today's signing up.

Looking at the reward provided on the system interface, Bick's eyes widened. He really didn't expect that the system that had been upgraded once would actually become so bold and unrestrained.

Those crappy bread and lunch meat that were given to him in the past seemed to be just for him to fill his stomach first.

It turned out that the real good things could only be seen after the upgrade. If he had known earlier, he would have taken care of Kate earlier.

Seeing that the spies outside had already fled so fast that their shadows could not be seen, Bick hurriedly leaned out of the window, he shouted at their backs at the top of his lungs, "Tell your master behind you that if you want to be friends, then come to our door and negotiate honestly. I have plenty of good stuff. If you want to play hardball, go to the open space south of the town at two o'clock in the afternoon. Let's set up a battle formation!"

"Oh, my dear, this is not a wise choice." Kate quickly pulled the Crazy Bick back from the window.

Although she admitted that this machine gun was indeed very powerful, if Bick had not taken it out to scare the spies, it could be used as a trump card at the critical moment.

However, now that Bick had exposed the machine gun, the spies would definitely tell the various forces when they went back.

When the time came, the factions that dared to play hardball with Bick would definitely consider the problem of the machine gun.

The key problem was that there were only two of them.

"Don't worry, baby. If we don't show our strength, we won't have any freedom in Liberty Town!" Bick smiled nonchalantly.

"Could it be..." Kate's eyes lit up when she heard that.

The reason why she had accepted Bick's recruitment was because she had seen through the identity of the Northern Federation's noble children.

Furthermore, someone had secretly delivered this machine gun to Bick last night.

Kate immediately felt relieved and did not plan to persuade Bick anymore.

Seeing Kate's knowing smile, Bick could not make sense of it. He wanted to continue explaining with more words.

Who knew that Kate seemed to have come up with something in her head.

However, this was good too. He wouldn't be at a disadvantage anyway.

Those guys thought that he and Kate didn't have any backers. How would they know that their biggest reliance was the boss that no one could understand -- the system!

With the system around, he didn't believe that these guys could go against the heavens.

They pulled Kate to the Paradise Hotel Manager's personal service and had a sumptuous breakfast and lunch that was even heavier than yesterday.

When Bick wanted to pay, the manager nervously said that after Bick checked in, the gangsters harassed him, so the Paradise Hotel should pay for it.

Bick shrugged, knowing that this was the Paradise Hotel's goodwill.

Other people didn't know, but the Paradise Hotel knew.

The appearance of the machine gun was very strange. To be able to hide from everyone's sight and send such a large machine gun into the suite, this ability made Paradise Hotel afraid!

Even if the various major forces thought that Paradise Hotel and Bick were colluding, they were too lazy to explain themselves.

From the perspective of Paradise Hotel, Bick's ability was definitely able to wipe out those who were blind. If they did not express their goodwill now, then what was the point of waiting.

"Not bad. Your hotel's business will definitely get better and better in the future." Bick nodded and didn't continue to ask for payment. He pulled Kate and swaggered away.

"Machine gun..." Kate pointed in the direction of the bedroom to remind him. Bick said indifferently, "Someone will clean it up. Don't worry."

As he said that, he directly put the machine gun into the system space.

Although he might not be able to use it in the battle later, he could not just leave it in the room.

Yes, Bick would not use the machine gun that had already been exposed as a support. He had the newly acquired treasure that he had signed in today. It would definitely allow those who meant him harm some enjoyment.
