Instead of receiving a positive answer, the boy scoffed.
"Befriend.. Ha, so this is what I have come to? Do I look that pitiful, to the point that a maid would sympathize with me and befriend me? Do I seem that desperate?" Lucas asked.
"Listen. I don't need friends. I don't need anybody to pity me. Just leave me alone. If you're not dumb, then go attend to my older brother or something. If you get close to him, then you will get benefits. But not me.. you won't get anything. I'm not joking, I am being completely serious!" Lucas spoke with a harsh tone.
Aria racked up her brains to try and figure out how she could retrieve this situation.
She thought about Lucas, who was slowly getting fainter and fainter in her memories. His characteristics. His tendencies. It was here that she realized how few were the times he had spoken about his past.
