The man said "You both got double digit points. Terrible. But you both answered the alchemy sections perfectly, so you can apply for the Alchemy examination are you ready?" Long Chen let go of the fatty and said "Let's go then." Cross slapped the fatty and said "When I come back, I'll fix you up goo. Taking my wages... Hehe~ I don't know who gave you the guts to steal from Lord Fifth!"
The man said "Don't worry about this. Someone arrest this fatty for extortion." the fatty cried "I was framed!" Cross shouted "Framed my ass! If they don't arrest you, I'll cripple your 5 limbs!" the fatty trembled and was taken away as Cross and Long Chen followed the man.
Long Chen looked at Cross and smirked, Cross grinned and gave him a high-five. They were friends since they were in the same place for so many days. Plus, Cross was a lively person these days so he and Long Chen quickly became friends.
They boarded a giant Eagle and the man said "Is it strange to not go to the teleportation formation?" the duo nodded and the man said "The teleportation formation would explode your bodies because of the mortal Qi you still have."
3 hours later
The man left Long Chen and Cross at the gates before leaving. They looked at the gate that said "Alchemy Hall" Long Chen turned to Cross and said "You know alchemy?" Cross threw his hands up and sighed "I copied off you! I'm fucked now." Long Chen burst out laughing and Cross kicked him.
They heard a sweeping noise and turned to see an old man sweeping the leaves on the ground, Long Chen realized he had no idea where the office was and walked up to the old man saying politely "Senior, do you know where the Registration and assessment building for Alchemy is?"
The old man looked up and the duo were shocked, this old man had lines in his eyes! So strange! Cross' eyes swirled but lines? That's crazy talk!
The old man shook his head and said "Senior? I'm not worthy, you're the pillars of Lingxiao Academy's future. I'm just a broken old man." Long Chen smiled and said "Senior, you're too modest. Where is the Assessment and Registration Office? I have to sign up and I'm afraid I'll delay the rest."
The old man pointed and said "Go straight ahead and turn right at the second crossing. By the way, do you have a good temper?" Long Chen was stunned and said "It's ok." before thanking the old man, Cross walked to the old man and patted his back saying "Old man, if anybody bullies you, you can come find me! I'll take care of them in a second!"
The old man was stunned and said "Wh-" Cross cut him off saying "You, the old man, have cool eyes. I think your interesting. Plus I do what I want, if I want to protect someone, even the Gods can't hurt them!" he patted the old man's shoulder again and said "See you later, Gramps!" before chasing after Long Chen, if he let his golden ticket escape where would he go to cry?!
The old man watched them go and smiled slightly, muttering "A Nine Star inheritor and a Blood Elf became friends... Is this fate?" he went back to sweeping and mumbled happily "Looks like my Lingxiao Academy has been saved after all."
Cross caught up to Long Chen saying "Bro! Wait! If you go ahead, I'll never pass the Alchemy exam!" Long Chen laughed and sped up, Cross said "Aiya!" before stepping and faceplanting in front of Long Chen.
Long Chen laughed and said "You can't even walk?" Cross got up and frowned "Of course I can walk! This world is strange, in my old world I could travel millions of miles with a single step but here I faceplanted after 10 meters!" Long Chen shrugged and said "Different Qi, you have to adapt." Cross dusted himself off and said "Yare Yare."
Suddenly, they were shouted at "You just got here now!? Don't you know you're late?!" Long Chen said coldly "I wasn't given a Time." Cross almost slapped the two to death, he raised his hand and was about to send these two on their new journey when a majestic voice came from the hall "Noisy!"
The two disciples sneered and said "We'll clean you up later." as they threw plaques at Cross and Long Chen before walking away. The two looked at the plaques before swapping them and walking inside. The name plate in their hands trembled slightly and a stone door appeared before opening.
The duo walked inside to see a giant room with hundreds of men and women inside. As soon as they walked in everybody's attention was on them, Cross had covered his face with a hoodie because he didn't want to be annoyed by crazy women. He actually had the hoodie up the entire time he had been in the immortal world.
The old man, who was most likely the teacher looked at them and said "You're Long Chen and Cross?" Cross nodded and Long Chen said "Yes sir." the man frowned and said "Yes or no." Cross said "Yes." before muttering "Fucking bastard.." under his breath, Long Chen frowned and the old man said "You take off those strange clothes and show your face. Both of you apologize to the class for being late."
Cross and Long Chen exploded in rage, killing intent burst out of Cross' body as he said "You fucking old man, a single slap is all it takes to sent you to hell!" Long Chen added "We didn't even get notified when the time was! How could we be late!"
Cross took off his hoodie and revealed his face and white hair as he said "Even if we were late, what does that have to do you with you? Just teach the class and we show up when we show up! Apologize to the class, are you joking? Maybe you should've joined a circus instead! Come and beg me on your hands and knees to apologize to the class and I'll kill you quickly!"
The entire class trembled from their fierce killing intent, Cross couldn't help it. This fucking old man was too much! Plus every person here was too fucking arrogant! A fat piece of shit that took care of workers paraded himself around like a king and this old man with a foot in the grave demanded an apology for being late.
The old man pointed at the two and said "You! You're both disqualified!" Long Chen exploded "Disqualified?! I come and go as you please? Do you think Laozi is a monkey you can play around with!? I want an explanation!"
The old man said "Late, disturb the class, and insult the tutor." Cross spat and said with a sneer "Moron, we weren't given a time. Just because you have shit for brains doesn't mean we do." Long Chen clapped and said "Exactly! Plus we're fighting for our spots. As for insulting you, ha! You're the one insulting us! I'm supposed to let you insult me and not fight back? If that's the rules of Lingxiao Academy, I'll pat my ass and leave happily."
Cross laughed and said "You, the old man who has a foot in the grave, ask my name. I nod and then you tell me to say yes or no. Could it be your head is really full of shit? Are you blind? Do you need glasses? You don't understand what a head nod means? Plus, who are you to tell me to take off my clothes? Could it be that the only reason you took this job was to peek at the bodies of younger boys?"
Cross covered his body and said "I didn't expect the Famous Lingxiao Academy to hire perverted old men obsessed with younger boys!" the class was uncomfortable and the old man was so angry he spat out a mouthful of blood.
A majestic voice sounded "They got their registries late." before disappearing. The old man's face turned ugly as he said "Take a seat." Cross threw his hood back up with a sneer, getting a chorus of disappointed sighs from the women, as he walked to a seat with Long Chen.
The old man started talking about alchemy and Cross was ignoring him, Long Chen laughed and the old man said "Something funny?" Long Chen said "No. I was just remembering a joke." The old man sneered and said "You think I'm speaking nonsense? What is Alchemy then?"
Long Chen replied "Alchemy is the process of extracting medicinal properties and integrating them into a spirit body with the power of fire, soul, and heaven." the old man laughed and said "What a moron. You don't even know the basics! Who can tell him what alchemy is!?"
A young kid, who couldn't seems to get his nose deep enough in the old man's ass, stood up and started reciting words like a book. Half an hour later the robot stopped and the old man nodded before asking "How many types of medicinal ingredients are there?" Long Chen said "Innumerable."
The old man sneered "Idiot. Who can tell him the right answer?" the kid finally found a way to get his nose even deeper and stood up saying "A total of 39,116 types!" the old man looked at Long Chen and said "You don't know anything. Who gave you so much courage?!"
Cross stood up and said coldly "Oi... Old man.. You must be tired of living. I've been listening to your puppet show for a while now and even I know you're retarded." he flipped his palm and a flower appeared as he said "Idiot, what is this plant?" the old man said "I don't know."
Cross sneered and pulled out a dozen more as he said "Oh, would you look at that! The number of plants went up to 39,129! Oh! 39,130! 39,131!" the old man's face turned green as Cross kept counting, everybody else obviously understood what he was trying to say and they kept silent.
Long Chen smiled at his new friend before turning to the old man and saying "The world is infinite, why limit it with numbers?" as he stood up, Cross threw all the herbs back into the inner world and walked down. Since his golden ticket was leaving, he naturally wouldn't stay, He knew fuck all about alchemy. If not for Long Chen he would still be throttling that fatty.
Cross passed the old man and slammed the old man's head into the desk, snapping it in half. He stomped on the old man's head and buried him halfway into the ground before leaving. Long Chen chuckled and followed him.
Long Che threw the two disciples guarding the door into the room, burying half their bodies into the wall before the duo left completely.
They arrived at the gate and Long Chen asked the old man "Senior, do you know how to leave Lingxiao Academy?" The old man said "Why would you want to leave? Lingxiao academy is the dream of countless young cultivators."
Long Chen laughed and said "Yeah right. If I stay here any longer I might kill everyone here! Then I won't be able to leave even if I wanted to!" the old man spoke "Where is there good in the world? If you can walk the path in front of you, you will hit a dead end somewhere else."
Long Chen was confused and dozens of figures appeared in the air. One of them shouted "How dare you be wild in the Alchemy Academy!? Kneel down!" Long Chen looked up and burst into angry laughter as he said "Come here, Most of you won't see the sun tomorrow!"
The man was so angry he said "You're courting death!" the old man sighed and said "Young people shouldn't be so angry. It's not worth it to give up your lives for anger." a disciple shouted "Shut up, old man! Keep swe-" Cross jumped into the air and his fist was covered in armor, with black flames coming off it.
Cross punched the disciple in the face and sent him barreling down the ravine into a horde of beasts. Cross landed back on the ground and said coldly "Don't insult the old man. I don't care who you are. I'll kill you." his killing intent was clear and Long Chen grinned as he released his own.
The disciples charged at the duo, Cross covered his hands in armor and punched the disciple that came at him so hard, he flew back, took two with him, and fell into the ravine. Long Chen grabbed a disciple's ankle and used him as a weapon to beat the other ones.
Cross grabbed another's head and slammed it into the ground, shooting his foot out and kicking a kid in the stomach before throwing the man in his hands at the group and knocking them over like bowling pins.
More and more people showed up and Cross just boke their legs, Long Chen got their arms and everybody heard "Enough!"
