Cross and Yun Che looked up to see 3 people, namely Qu Fengyi, Xuanyuan Wentian, and Huangji Wuyu.
Xuanyuan Wentian laughed and said "Let me do the honors." before slashing down at the light curtain. The curtain shattered like glass, revealing a formation with a floating sword inside. The body of the sword was as black as ink. It was roughly six and a half feet long and one foot wide. It had a square hilt, and the half of the blade near the hilt had two irregular markings that ran down its length. If one looked closely, they would see that the markings were a crescent blood moon that had been cut in half!
Yun Che frowned at the sword, while Cross looked at the three floating above everyone. He narrowed his eyes, feeling something was amiss, but he couldn't figure out what it was. Or rather, he didn't know what they were relying on.
There was obviously a conspiracy going on here, hence why he sent Feng Xue'er away. It was targeting him and Yun Che but he couldn't figure out what gave them so much confidence to go against him. Could it be they thought they were truly stronger than him?
There was a limit to a joke...
Xuanyuan Wentian proclaimed in a clear, loud voice "This sword is, indeed, a devil sword, and it is also known as the 'Heavenly Sin Divine Sword'! Furthermore, the name 'Heavenly Sin Divine Sword' came from the Eternal Night Royal Family that was destroyed a thousand years ago."
He cleared his throat and continued "This matter occurred a thousand years ago, so it is natural that very few people know of the 'Eternal Night Royal Family'. However, all of you who are gathered here today are also the overlords of the Profound Sky Continent, so I'm sure that you have heard of it before. The Eternal Night Royal Family's profound art was known as the 'Eternal Night Illusory God Record', and when they circulated their profound energy, it was pitch black. It was a baleful, malevolent energy that was extremely similar to the powers possessed by devils and fiends of legend. In the end, however, a profound art is still a profound art."
Xuanyuan Wentian paused for a moment before adding "Whether or not a profound art is righteous or demonic is not dependent on the profound art, but the person using the profound art. This was why no one ever questioned whether or not the Eternal Night Royal Family had fallen to a demonic path and become degenerate. However, a thousand years ago, the Eternal Night Royal Family kept committing grievous sins that could not be forgiven or tolerated by heaven and earth. Since the Sacred Grounds were responsible for protecting the Profound Sky Continent through the generations, we had no choice but to join hands to destroy the Eternal Night Royal Family forever."
Xuanyuan Wentian let it sink in before saying "At that time, the Eternal Night King was known as Ye Mufeng. Even though he possessed considerable profound strength, he was still weaker than any one of the Four Sacred Masters. However, when he brought out the Heavenly Sin Divine Sword in the end, his strength actually erupted and no one could face him. In the end, it took the combined power of the Four Sacred Masters and nineteen of the strongest elders from the Sacred Grounds to narrowly defeat him. Even then, we had to pay a terrible price. All Four Sacred Masters were heavily wounded, while ten of the nineteen elders were dead with the remaining injured as well."
Xuanyuan Wentian continued to speak. "After he took out the Heavenly Sin Divine Sword, the Eternal Night King's strength was extraordinary and completely surpassed the boundaries of the Sovereign Profound Realm. Furthermore, even though his physical body had been destroyed in the struggle, and he had been defeated in combat, his soul refused to die. According to the legends, being able to exist as a soul after one's body has perished is an ability that is gained when one enters the Divine Profound Realm. It is definitely not something one can achieve with the power of a Monarch. So it stands to reason that the strength displayed by Eternal Night King Ye Mufeng after taking out the Heavenly Sin Divine Sword was definitely a strength that surpassed the boundaries of the Sovereign Profound Realm and stepped into the legendary Divine Profound Realm!"
Yun Che looked at Cross, who gave a half-half gesture and said "For barely 5 minutes. If you don't find something to contain your soul by then... Bye bye~" Yun Che chuckled and turned his attention back to the show.
The sun was being covered by the moon, Cross decided it was time for a lesson in space science and said "Little Che, this phenomenon is called a Solar Eclipse! When the moon covers the sun and plunges the world into darkness. It's alright to look at it when the sun is completely covered, but if you look at the edges of a partial eclipse you could potentially go blind!"
Yun Che was amazed and said "Wow!" Cross nodded and said "Lunar Eclipses also occur, this is when the Moon becomes red at night, resulting in a 'Blood Moon'. It's a very beautiful sight!" he reached into a crack and showed Yun Che a few pictures.
Yun Che whistled and said "Wow!" Cross nodded and showed him another one with a Super Moon, Yun Che said "Woah! So big!" Cross nodded and put the pictures away saying "Actually, the sun is just a star that is at the center of the solar system. Though I have no idea if you even have a solar system here."
Yun Che asked "What's a solar system?" Cross drew in the air as he spoke "The sun is at the center of our solar system and planets circle around the sun, only making a single rotation per year. This is how we have seasons, when the planet is the furthest from the Sun the planet gets cold and it starts to snow..."
Cross paused, realizing there were no seasons here. This made him confused, where was the sun then? He shook his head and continued "The planet rotates on it's axis and completes a full turn every day. This means that the planet turns like a top, while also moving around the sun. When the planet finishes a a single rotation on it's axis, that means a day has passed. That's why the Sun and Moon move during the day. The one who's actually moving is in fact the planet, not the sun!"
Yun Che had his mind directly blown by this news, and asked "What about the Moon?!" Cross made another diagram and cleared his throat as he said "The people from my Realm believe when the planet was forming millions of years ago, another planet smashed into it. The heat melted the two planets together to form a bigger one but a chunk was blown off."
Cross looked at Yun Che and said "You know what gravity is?" Yun Che nodded and Cross continued "Because Gravity is based on mass, the chunk orbited the planet and over time formed it's circular shape. The Moon is what we call a Natural Satellite. It spins around the Earth once per day."
Yun Che was speechless, even the people around who somehow started listening in were speechless.
During this whole explanation, Xuanyuan Wentian kept talking and was currently trying to break open the seal on the Heavenly Sin Divine Sword. He turned to Yun Che, Cross, and Xia Yuanba, who got sucked into the conversation, and said "You're all not participating?"
Cross ignored him and continued "The stars you see in the skies could actually all be dead! Light travels differently in space, technically if you can decipher the lights from stars theoretically you can see into the past!" Yuanba and Yun Che gasped.
Xuanyuan Wentian felt his eyes twitch fiercely as he shouted "Could it be that young Xia is also completely uninterested in the secrets of the Divine Profound?" Yuanba shouted "Shut up, old man! I'm listening here, go play with your sword somewhere else!"
Everyone gasped, the way Yuanba said 'Go play with your sword' was very ambiguous. Xuanyuan Wentian gritted his teeth in hatred, he turned to the sword and his eyes flashed as he said "NOW!" everyone dumped out their strength on the seal and it exploded, sending the sword 1000 meters into the air.
Xuanyuan Wentian's eyes flashed and he shouted "Seal!" the giant mass of Profound strength shot down and fell onto Cross, forming a golden chain that wrapped around his body. Cross was stunned and looked at the chains.
Yun Che and Yuanba were also stunned and looked at Xuanyuan Wentian, who sneered and caught the falling blade. Everybody was confused and looked at Xuanyuan Wentian, who spoke "I believe everyone knows of the Reaper and Yun Che, correct?"
Xuanyuan Wentian sneered and said "Well, I have heard two very astonishing pieces of information!" he pointed the sword at Yun Che and said "Firstly, Yun Che is a Demon from the Illusory Demon realm!" everyone gasped and looked at Yun Che, who was frowning.
Xuanyuan Wentian continued "But more astonishing than this is the Reaper! True name Cross, is in fact already in the Divine Profound Realm!" everyone's eyes widened and they looked at Cross in shock, some of them started showing greed.
Xuanyuan Wentian added "Although this sword does not hold any secrets to advance to the Divine Profound Realm, the Reaper most certainly does! Hence, I sealed him!" Jasmine, Luna, Feng Xue'er were all seething with rage in the inner world and the Pearl, but heard Cross' voice say "Relax, cuties. The fun's just begun! Let me show you my world class acting skills!"
Cross shook and stuttered "W-W-What are y-y-you g-going to do with m-me!?" Xuanyuan Wentian burst into laughter and said hatefully "We're going to search your soul and dig out all of your secrets of course! You have made a lot of enemies, Mr. Reaper!"
Cross started trembling and a terrified look appeared on his face, Xuanyuan Wentian sneered and said to Yun Che "Demon, nobody can protect you now!" Spiritual Master Ancient Blue said "Excuse me, I would like to say a few words." everybody looked at him and Ancient Blue said "This old one has had the chance to meet Yun Che several times and by this old man's reckoning, I believe that this child Yun Che is an honest and upright man. Even though he can be rather extreme in word and action, he is not an evil person and in actuality, he is a rather kind and good person at that. When my little disciple Yuanba's life was in danger all those years ago, it was Yun Che who used his very life to save him."
Xuanyuan sneered and dropped another bomb "The current emperor of the Illusory Demon Realm is a woman and she is known as the Little Demon Empress. Because the Little Demon Emperor who succeeded the throne had died one hundred years ago, the Little Demon Empress took his place as the ruler of the Illusory Demon Realm and she was also the last person alive bearing the bloodline of the Illusory Demon Imperial Family."
Xuanyuan Wentian clicked his tongue and said "However, just barely over seven months ago, the Little Demon Empress took a new husband after grieving for the Little Demon Emperor for one hundred years. Her marriage took place in Demon Imperial City and it was an affair that shook the entire Illusory Demon Realm, becoming the grandest event that had happened in the Illusory Demon Realm for the past hundred years. Everyone gasped in shock, this was unbelievable! They couldn't believe it!!
