Cross walked into Gringotts with the group and walked to the head desk, he smiled and waved to the Goblins, who bowed in respect. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were stunned watching the Goblins, Cross reached the front and spoke in Gobbledegook "Hey, Bogrod. Take me to my vault will you?"
Bogrod smiled and said "No problem." before hopping off his desk and leading the group away, Cross followed Bogrod and said "Has that moron been making trouble for the Goblins? I found Griphook, he said he was captured?"
Bogrod said hatefully "Yeah, a few Goblins went missing. We suspect it was Tom Riddle." Griphook walked over and confirmed "It was him." Bogrod frowned and said "Ragnok will not be happy." Cross waved and added "Tell him to leave it to me. You will not be able to kill him... Actually even I can't."
The group was stunned and Hermione said "Didn't you say that you beat him a few years ago?" Cross chuckled and said "Beating and killing are two very different things, Hermione. There's only one person in the world who can kill him. I can hit him with every Killing Curse in the book and he would still survive."
The Goblins were silent and boarded the rail cart, The other three got on with Cross and Harry said "Is it me?" Cross smiled and replied "Bingo! You're learning fast Harry! Maybe you'll be the next Merlin, just yet!"
Harry rolled his eyes and Hermione said "Do you know why it's Harry?" Cross was confused and said "You all don't know?" Ron added "We've been hunting Horcruxes, mate." Cross finally realized and laughed as he said "Did you find them all?"
Harry said "We've found the Book, the Ring, the Locket so far... Hopefully there's something in Bellatrix's vault." Cross chuckled and looked at Harry as he said "Where do you think the rest are?" Harry scratched his neck and said "I don't know.."
Cross smiled and said nothing, just looking forward thinking about something.
Hermione frowned and looked at Cross' thinking expression before saying "You know where one is?" Harry and Ron looked at Cross, who grinned and said "I've known for a long time..."
Harry said quickly "Where is it? We need to destroy it!" Cross licked his lips and chuckled as he said "You won't be able to destroy this one, Harry." Harry was confused and the cart stopped, Cross said "Ah, our destination. Let's go, shall we?" as he got off the train cart and walked towards the giant cave.
Harry followed along with a frown, he hated when Cross got all mysterious with him. Hermione was thinking hard, trying to figure out what he meant. While Ron was looking around the giant underground caves a bit scared of all the growls from below.
They walked into the cave and were met with a giant white dragon. Ron shouted "That's a Ukrainian Ironbelly!" Cross clicked his tongue and added "Not anymore... It's about to die." he shook his head and walked forward, telling the rest to stay back.
The dragon growled at Cross, who pursed his lips and slowly walked towards the dragon releasing the pressure on it. The dragon backed up, feeling a threat, before bumping into the wall.
Cross walked to the dragon and coo'd as he rubbed the dragon's snout. The dragon slowly relaxed and rested on the ground in front of Cross peacefully, Cross smiled and whispered in Draconian "Do you want to come with me?" The dragon nodded with a hopeful look in it's eyes.
Cross looked behind him and pursed his lips again, thinking about it. He said "Fuck it. Come with me." the dragon followed him and Cross said "Curl up in the middle here. It won't hurt a bit, trust me." the dragon coo'd and curled up.
Cross stepped back and grinned as he said "Do you guys want to see something amazing?" Ron was the first and threw his fist in the air as he said "Yeah, mate! Go on!" Cross chuckled and whistled, Blue came out of his backpack and landed on his head. Cross smiled and said "Same as last time."
Blue dripped a few tears and Cross bit his finger before setting up the runes he wrote for Selena and Grey. The rest watched as Golden runes circled around the dragon before sinking into it's body. The dragon lost the light in it's eyes and slumped to the ground, but in the middle of it's back and little white dragon flew out.
The white dragon roared tenderly and landed on the ground, but there was a problem. The dragon, it's wings, arms, legs, tail... they were all bones! It was a little bone dragon!
Cross and Blue were shocked, forget about the rest. They were so shocked they forgot to breathe.
Cross picked him up, the dragon looked at him and nuzzled his boney head on Cross' neck. They both flashed and bonded. Cross smiled and stroked the little bone dragon's.. Well bones. He looked at the bone dragon and said "Hmm... I'll call you White."
Blue slapped her forehead with her wing and chirped "Another victim..." Cross replied "You love your name, don't lie." Blue grumbled "You're insane.." Cross chuckled and Blue went back to the bag, while White took her spot on Cross' head and curled up before going to sleep.
Cross turned around and smiled "Cool, eh?" Hermione stuttered "Y-Y-You!" Cross waved and said "Yes, I know. I'm amazing. We've been over this a hundred times now. Anyway, Griphook, Bogrod, you guys can have the carcass... There should be everything there."
Griphook and Bogrod jumped in excitement and ran to the carcass, looking it over as Hermione finally said "How did you do that?! You created something from nothing! That's-" Cross smiled "Impossible?"
Hermione gulped, while Harry and Ron were just confused. Cross continued as he walked to the vault "You see, it's not actually something from nothing. It's more like a sacrifice. The beast forgoes it's current body for another, the soul and all the energy in the body is used to create a new one. The Phoenix tears help to create a new body while my blood makes it so there's enough energy and a chance to evolve."
Cross touched the door of the vault and unlocking sounds were heard as he added "You can understand it more simply as regressing to its origins. White mutated slightly because he carried a heavy death aura on him from the constant torture and malnutrition."
Cross looked at Hermione's shining eyes and chuckled "You have to be an Elf to do it... and own a phoenix." Hermione's eye dimmed and she clicked her tongue in frustration, Cross snickered and walked into the vault as the rest followed them.
Cross waved his hand and said in Elven "Ultimate Cleanse" a golden green light exploded in the room, covering everything as he said "Damn curses..." Harry said "They were cursed?" Cross replied "A multiplying curse, everything you touch will multiply infinitely. I assume Ragnok has quite a few things from my vault now.. That bastard."
Although he said that, there was a smile on his face. Griphook and Bogrod came inside and Cross said "Hmm... That should be it right there." as he pointed to a cup, Harry looked over and heard it speaking before grabbing it.
Cross smiled and said "Well, that's it. There's nothing else in here... Anybody want something?" Hermione felt her lips twitch as she took a book, while Ron took a shining gem. Cross chuckled and left the vault saying "Oh right, Harry. You have the sword still?"
Harry nodded and Cross said "Just remember to give it to the Goblin's when you're done. I'm serious, if they come after you even I can't stop them. Without paying a price and I'd rather not have to make something, you know?"
Harry chuckled and nodded, Cross smiled and they left Gringotts. Cross turned to Griphook and Bogrod as he said seriously "Tell Ragnok to be careful. That moron might attack Gringotts because of the Horcrux." Bogrod and Griphook nodded seriously before bowing and saying "Thank you, Your Highness."
Cross smiled and said "No problem." he turned to Ron, Harry, and Hermione and smiled as he said "See you all later..." he chuckled and added "Sooner than you may think~" before teleporting away, leaving the three confused.
Cross bought an entire candy store out before returning to the Castle and appearing in front of Luna with bags and bags on licorice and candy. Luna jumped up and kissed him happily as she said "You're the best~" Cross smiled softly and said "I know... How are you feeling? Is everything okay?"
Luna rubbed her stomach bump and said lovingly "I feel great." Cross smiled warmly and kissed her lips before saying "If you need anything, just tell me." Luna said cutely "Can we cuddle? I miss you~" deep in her tone was a bit of pleading, ever since Cross started teaching and training the students, they haven't been together all that much.
Cross' expression softened and he said "Of course, Loony.." Luna smiled excitedly and Cross picked her up in a princess carry before laying her on the bed as softly as possible. He wrapped her in his arms and she snuggled into his embrace comfortably before falling asleep.
Cross rubbed her stomach with a happy yet nervous expression, before slowly falling asleep himself.
Another month later
Cross had given White his own habitat and inducted him into the early morning chase. The students were a lot better at running and a lot more fit too! Some of the students were a bit chubby before but now they were as fit as a horse! Nice and strong. The Animagus students ran in their animal forms, Cross even forced the bird ones to run on their feet only flapping their wings to dodge a spell. They even had to jump through obstacles with their legs.
It was quite funny to see a bird running instead of flying but nobody had time to laugh. White was pretty menacing already but chasing the students he kicked it up a notch and covered himself in black flames as he chased them, some students had nightmares of his blood red flaming eyes as he chased them.
Cross smiled and was happy with their progress, if even one of them was sent into the wizarding world outside of Hogwarts, they would no doubt be top figures. Cross even told them this and they got a little complacent, but that was quickly fixed by the beasts chasing after them even faster and wilder.
Another thing to note, the eggs had hatched!
Little black dragons with spiked tails, two horns on their heads, black wings, and golden eyes chased the students playfully. It was good training for them, Cross had enchanted a shield on their eyes so they wouldn't accidentally petrify someone.
Cross did the same for Hagrid's, who Hagrid named Nigel. Cross and Hagrid sent a letter with a picture to Newt and asked him if the name Horntail Basilisk Dragon was appropriate for the species. To which Newt replied that he was so excited he was about to fly over, he also said the name was perfect.
Cross admitted that the name was a bit bland but it was a perfect description of the species, he responded to Newt that things were a bit troublesome here and that when things were better he could come over, to which Newt replied that he understood and it wasn't an issue.
Hagrid loved the little Nigel so much that he bonded with it. Nigel would usually hide in Hagrid's beard and only poke it's head out to look around.
Cross smiled at the little babies nibbling on the students, their teeth hadn't set it yet so their nibbles weren't dangerous but they still hurt like hell. Some students even got bit in the ass, making the rest terrified at the thought that the bigger ones would actually bite them, so they ran even faster.
Cross was having a great time and then Ron, Hermione, and Harry showed up at the school. That's when all hell broke loose.
