"Are you awake?"
Says a voice that I had never heard before. I didn't know where I was but I could sense that it was somewhere unfamiliar. Everything seemed different. I could no longer hear the cars going by my apartment and the sirens that would occasionally go off. And usually by now I think my alarm clock would go off and I'd be getting ready for work.
And that's when I remembered, work! I had to get ready for work! Usually if I'm late no one says anything because I'm usually pretty punctual to everything, but today was special. I had to design clothing for someone famous and due to privacy reason I was not allowed to know whom I was designing for. It had definitely been awhile since I've gotten a big job like this, but now I messed it up!
I force my eyes open and sit up straight. I realize I'm naked. I don't usually sleep naked, so why am I wearing no clothes? I think to myself. And then I realize it was cold, and I was sitting on the stone cold ground.
"Where am I?" I whisper.
"Did I get drunk and pass out or something last night?" I ask to myself, puzzled.
"Ah, your awake!" Someone says.
"Did you rest well?" The voice asks. The voice was masculine, but gentle at the same time.
I turn my head to were the voice was coming from.
"I hope your back doesn't hurt to much, I mean we did just do it on the stone cold ground a couple of hours ago."
For a second I didn't quite understand what he was saying. Doing what exactly? I study him quickly not believing what I was seeing. At first glance he just looked like any other guy would, a face, a torso, A HEAD. But when you study him deeper you see a tail! I mean a freaking tail.
At first I thought It was fake. Because, I mean, who wouldn't? But then I saw the ears, and his hair color.
The mysterious man had this beautiful shining white hair. He's ears were shaped like a wolfs and his tail had the same shining white color to it. He was stunning. And I hadn't even seen his face yet! I could just tell.
He turns around and stands up. Due to me being on the floor, what was in my line of sight was unfavorable at the moment.
"Put some clothes on, geez!" I saying, while a slight blush appears on my face.
"Why? It's not like you haven't seen anything already! And did you forget? You're naked yourself," he points out something I obviously should have remembered.
Embarrassed, I try to cover my self up with my hands at the very least. The man, or should I say wolf? I'm not quite sure anymore, walks over and sits down. He hands me a piece of bread and some soup.
"Stop trying to cover up and eat!" He says in a demanding tone.
"Okay," I mumble.
I grab one of the wooden spoons that head had brought over and scoop some of the soup into it. I could tell that it was still hot due to the steam coming out of the soup bowl, so I decided to take a few deep breaths and blow on the soup to at least cool it down a little.
Once it had cooled down a little bit, I put the spoon in my mouth and the soup came with it. It was actually pretty good, more than I had expected. You could really taste the carrots and ginger.
"So what's your name?" The man asks, with his mouth half full at that.
"My names Alicia...how about you?" I ask uncertainly.
"Oh, so you don't know who I am. I just thought you were another one of those females who try and throw themselves at me so I can add them to my list of mates." He says in an annoyed tone. Almost as if he is upset I don't know who he is.
"That still doesn't answer my question."
"The names Aztec. I'm the wolf kings son."
"Doesn't that make you a prince?"
"Yeah, I guess so. But do I act very 'princely' to you?"
"No, you really don't. I would have never guess if you hadn't told me."
"Now that's rude. You know I'm a prince but you still act like that? How shameful!" He says in a sarcastic tone.
"Shameful indeed." I says back.
"But I have a question... why do you look like that?"
"Look like what?"
"You have no tail or ears, so I'm quite confused as to what kingdom you are from."
"I'm not from any kingdom from this land, that's for sure. I honestly have no idea where I am right now. Not a clue."
"You're with me. That should be good enough for you."
"Well, whatever. I just want to go back to sleep. May I?"
"Sure, go ahead. I don't know how comfortable it's going to be though."
"It's fine. I'm used to it."
I lay my head back down onto the cold, hard, stone ground and close my eyes. Maybe everything that had just happened was a dream, and maybe it wasn't. I would soon find out when I woke up, once more.
Before I completely fell asleep I heard a slight mumbling coming from Aztec.
"So I guess it's okay if I kidnap her, since no one around here would know who she was." he says under his breath. But before I could reply, I drifted off to sleep.
To be continued...
