"Well! It looks like the time has finally come to this moment. Since you guys read the schedule, I supposed you all knew what I'm talking about, but in case you forgot… Its final year exam, let me tell you the rules for it once again" The teacher grabbed her book and opened it as the students chattered with each other.
"Okay… The first thing I have on my book is… about the points, you started with 100 points and it will decrease according to your moves. The first thing is getting help from your families, you will lose 20 points. The second is losing the battle that will happen in the early January, next year, you will lose 30 points" One of the students, a girl (the same girl that brought Frigs to ambush 2 chapters earlier), raised her hands and asked.
"Ms Sophia! Isn't it a bit complicated if we need to leave for the area around the school? How about the villager's families?" The teacher smirked.
"Well, good question, we won't change the system or anything, because this is real warfare from the old times. Call to arms and mustering armies, logistic. That is the main reason that you all, right now, will only write some letters to them, calling them here!" The teacher smirked as some students began to sweat.
They muttered to each other, "Dude!"
"I know your concern!"
"You also used the power of your families to solve the problems?"
"Yea and I treated them rudely, "
"We both are fuck*d"
The teacher grinned, "What do you think I am? Some random girl without magic? I can hear all the things you were talking about now! So if no one showed up for your call to arms, you will lose 50 points automatically! But don't worry, you will pass with 50 points"
The classroom got really loud somehow, the teacher just grabbed her book and said, "Oh yea, external factors are not a problem, but just not from your family. With that being said, we are done at this moment. Just give your letter to me, I will be waiting in my office!"
…
Louis said to Frigs as he handed him the paper, ink and quiver, "Sir Frigs, what are we going to write in it?"
Frigs shrugged, "To be honest, I don't really know, but for them to come, we must give them something. So, how much coins do you have in your pockets?"
Louis slipped his hand to his coins pouch and took his hand out with a paper clip on it, "Well, my 'coins' pouch only have a paperclip. Can this do it?"
Frigs chuckled, "Funny joke"
He then sighed and slowly took the quiver, dipped it in the ink and began writing the content of his letter. He wrote it as carefully as possible and used a lot of time just writing that one letter for the village elder.
The content of the letter was.
----
To the village elder of Janvale
Humbly, I apologize, for I have to write this letter and ask for a favour for the whole village. I hope you read this wholeheartedly and help me. Please relay the messages to the whole village and also for the Baron of Bareth. I'm not sure that you would help me, but I would be thankful if you do.
It's about my exam, fighting with a random village in a plain near the school building of mine. Please do expect some fighting because it was the whole point of the exam. For that, I needed all the support I could get, but I won't force anyone.
Please come to the listed place and time:
…. Place
After winter
Once again, I deeply and humbly apologize for asking your help and the whole village's help
The end of the letter
…..
It was not really a formal letter, but Frigs thought, "Hmm, I think that would do the job, now just need to send it to the teacher, Ms Sophia and wait for a week or so"
'It was unfortunate, but the exam was delayed for about 3 months because of the miscalculation of time from the weather magicians. Time passes so much and I have started learning magic and entered the second year… Next year, it seems like the newbies will come to this school' He looked out of the window from his room, calmly thinking.
(Fun fact: I don't know how winter works cause I live in a tropical country)
Just outside of the window, the trees have shown its greenness, and the ground became brown. The snow has melted, "Well, Louis, are you awake yet? We need to get going for class right now"
Louis yawned as he slowly got himself up from his bed, "Sure, its… 7 in the morning, our class starts at 9…"
Frigs chuckled, "Yea, you go get a shower you stinky brat, I'll go talk to the teacher about the date where we are going to fight our opponents"
…
Knock
"Ms Sophia, can I enter the room?" Frigs knocked on the door gently and soon got a response.
"Yea, just enter the room, Edward!" Knowing that he has his permission, he slowly opened the door. Once he was in there, he sat on the couch and asked.
"Teacher, when will the last year exam be happening? My hands are itching and the bullying from those guys just got worse" The teacher sighed and grabbed her book.
Slowly, she moved her finger around the page of the book and stopped at some point, "According to my book, it should start within a week… and I'm sure that the armies of the students will all be here by then!"
Frigs smiled and asked once again, "Is that a magic book? Every time I saw you open that book, you always got what you wanted"
She chuckled, "You could say that I got it from a mighty being. Anyway, you should start getting ready for class. It wouldn't be hard learning all the things I'm going to teach you today!"
(This is a healthy relationship with a teacher! Or at least I think so!)
