"First, spread your mana into the air and then slowly search a small amount of mana inside the steel object and connect it with your mana. After that, slowly use the connection to lift the object up" With his book on his hand and as the snow fell right into the book, Frigs extended his arm toward some steel balls on the ground.
He did as what he was told to, spread his mana around the air. Soon, he sensed the small amount of man right in front of him, barely noticeable. He smirked as he used his mana to slowly and cautiously enter the mana inside the steel ball.
All of a sudden, he felt a small amount of mana right in the end of his fingers. The different feeling made him smiled as he closed his eyes and controlled his breathing, then slowly raising his arm. The steel balls were flying.
Louis, right beside him, was surprised, "Edward! Edward! Look at that, the steel balls are flying!"
Frigs closed eyes began to tremble. Soon enough, he began to sweat, but the annoyance did not stop there, "Edward! Look at that! Congratulations dude!"
It was just the movement that shocked him when he was concentrating, Louis's hand being placed on his shoulder. He opened his eyes with heavy panting and all the balls dropped to the ground, 'Jeez! This annoying guy… there's always this kind of guy like this"
He furrowed his eyebrows and turned toward Louis that has an innocent-looking expression. When he saw the expression, he sighed, "Quiet Louis, I need to concentrate on controlling the balls!"
Louis slowly took his hand away from Frigs's shoulder and lowered his head, "Sorry"
Frigs just sighed, not bothering to give his assistant any response, and wanted to try lifting the balls again. Soon enough, the balls floated in the air, without Frigs needing to even close his eyes, 'This talent really is no joke! I just started 1 hour ago and now I can throw this ball like projectile!"
In front of him, almost 50 metres away, Louis had built a snowman with the purpose of Frigs's practice (Yea lol, he built those for Frigs). Without wasting the opportunity, he one of the steel balls toward one of the snowmen.
Although it's not the fastest or in any incredible speed, the attack worked wonder and the snowman exploded everywhere because of the ball. "Alright! Let's continue practising!"
Another hour has passed, now Frigs has his arm extended toward the air, controlling the steel balls. He slowly combined the steel balls with his mana, "I hope this work just as the book said!"
Slowly but surely, the balls were combined with each other, creating one big ball of steel and with his mana, Frigs slowly moved his hands and the big ball of steel turned into a giant one, bigger than what Jarvis used.
Frigs smiled upon his creation that was still up in the air and with the snowmen, once again, he destroyed all of them with a single swing of his sword, 'Okay, no joke, this art might not be as useless as it seems... but the sword are quite blunt, I should practice more!'
Louis ran toward him from out of nowhere and placed his hand on Frigs's shoulder, "Edward! I saw what you did to those snowmen. But I think we should head inside, the snow is getting thicker as second passes. You too, must have used a lot of manas!"
He smirked and nodded.
For the next two months of him being in the village, despite the cold weather and the snows on the ground, he practised every day, and it took him 3 days after that day of creating the giant blunt sword to make a much sharper sword.
Then another one month to reach the third tier of the steel element's mastery, the tier where he could make items with a lesser amount of steel. For the rest of his days at the village and as the snows were slowly melting, he kept practising and found himself in the middle of tier three, the stage where he was able to create a sword from a really small steel ball.
Even after he returned to the school, he focused on his practice, practising inside his room, at the PE period and even in the middle of Ms Sophia's class to the point everyone was getting annoyed of it, including Ms Sophia, "EDWARD!!!! CAN YOU STOP PRACTISING YOUR MAGIC?"
Clank
Clank
Upon hearing her shouting, Frigs instantly dropped all the objects he made to the ground that made a deafening sound that lasted for a few seconds. Then he fixed the way he sat on his chair and shrugged, 'Hehe, you all might not know, but I can now create a sword from single dust of steel! The fourth tier!'
But even after being stopped multiple times, he didn't stop practising his skill. But he did it much more quietly than before. And without him even noticing, a few months passed, but he made no progress whatsoever. He. He was stuck in the fourth tier.
While lying on his bed and having the swords he created right in front of his eyes, Frigs asked, "Louis… I'm obsessed with this element. But around 6 months passed since we returned to the village, but there was no progress on my skill. Can you provide any help?"
Louis sighed, "You are probably not aware, but your understanding and knowledge about steel and all kind of metals are not that good. You need to do some research or something. I would visit Jiq's or Ms Sophia's office if I were you"
He thought to himself, remembering what was existed in his original world, 'So this is like martial dao or something... I need a better understanding of it to advance to the next phase? Well then, imam visit the hot girl's office for help'
He shrank the swords into a small ball and collected it into his hand, then dropped it into his pocket. He then got himself up from his bed and sighed as he left the room and headed toward Ms Sophia's office.
