it's been few days I've been staying in the palace, Terence checks on me every morning before going out, not without telling me what to do.
Make sure you eat, make sure you don't go out alone, make sure this, make sure that... He now plans my daily routine, I can't even go out when I want, it's really annoying.
I decided to start going to the library again. I used to come to the palace a lot when I was younger to read books in the library, the king gave me the liberty to. I just finished reading the second book for today, I climbed the ladder to go get another book I have my eyes on. I kept climbing until I missed a step, my grasp on the ladder loosen and I closed my eyes tight awaiting the ground.
I fell in a strong arm and I slowly opened my eyes and I saw Terence.
"How does this man ever know when I'm in trouble?" I thought as I stared at him. What state will I be now if he had not showed up to save me? I'll probably be dead or paralyzed, right since I was young. He's always there to rescue me from trouble, he saves me from harm, I wonder how he does it, he just comes out of nowhere and save me.
He carried me to my room in a bridal way, he laid me on the bed and put my head on his thigh, I stared at him as he caresses my hair.
"It's okay, you are fine" he said and he continued to caress my hair, as I struggled with the shock I'm in, I could have died if he had not shown up. After a while of not taking my eyes off him, my lids closed slowly and I drifted into a deep sleep.

I opened my eyes due to hearing the sound of the door, I caught a glimpse of Terence before he closed the door. I stood up and followed him, maybe he's going to the chivalry, I should follow him and secretly watch how things are done there.
I kept following and I realised he isn't going out but he's going somewhere deep in the palace, he entered a tunnel and I followed him down the stairs, we got to the passage and I saw guards in the front of each cell with prisoners in shackles! Its the dungeon!.
I've only heard about the dungeon but I never knew it's like hell, everywhere is dark but I can still see with the help of the fire torches on the wall, I followed his track and the guards just watched me not bothering to stop me. I saw him enter a cell and I walked faster. "what is he doing here?" I thought.
Two men passed me by and I saw them enter the same cell Terence went in.
"Castrating them should be enough punishment " I heard Terence say, and suddenly i heard men screaming and I went closer.
Lo and behold, Terence is hitting the two men that harassed me few days ago with a thick whip, even though blood is gushing out of them, he didn't stop, the two men cried in pain, he dropped the whip and turned to leave but stopped when he saw me.
"How can he be so merciless to treat a human like him this way? I'm sure if these guys are not treated as soon as possible, they'll die, after beating them to the point of death, he wants them castrated? These guys truly harassed me but didn't succeed so why bother treat them this way, what would he have done if they had succeeded in defiling me? " Different thought ran through my mind as I stared at him in horror.
