I slowly wake up as my aunt calls me KATERINA KATERINA she yells I don't want to get up but I know I have to and I know today will be a good day I mean it's my birthday what's the worst that can go wrong I'm planning to ask out Alex today he's my best friend we've been really close especially after I found out my parents passed away I was only five I didn't really remember them much but he was still there for me now that I'm done with breakfast I'm going to head out I could feel the smile in my face when I saw Alex pull up in the driveway come get in cat I love it when he calls me cat I get butterfly's well I get in the car we don't really talk much we don't really talk until we're around Michaela and Carly they're dating we're like the third wheels sorta we just arrived at school I hate school but I got to deal with it oh there's Michaela and Carly they're the light of my day God I only have a couple classes with them though well I'm going to go into first period finally first period is over we're heading to the library as I go to ask Alex out a loud siren comes out there's a lockdown someone broke into the school I'm even more scared because my door doesn't lock I don't know why but I'm not scared it's happened lots of times nobody ever gets hurt but something seems off I don't hear anything I just hear screaming screaming somebody's name wait they're screaming my nameAlex just cut himself and I think I'm going to have a panic attack because some lunatic is out there screaming my name I'm going to go out I know I'm dumb I know I'm stupid but I'm going to go out what's the worst I'll save everybody don't be the hero don't be the hero God I'm so dumb I can hear my friend screaming my name as I walk out the door but I don't stop I won't stop I approached these two older looking men they remind me of me apparently they're twins and they're my brothers I don't believe them but it as long as I get them away from the school I'll be fine as I get into the car I feel my heart drop I'm about to die I fell asleep I'm dumb I just kept dreaming about how my life was going so good God I'm cursed I feel so much better as we pull up to this big building and I see my aunt it's some boarding school I greet my aunt and we go into the school I know how trust issues and I don't know what to do should I be scared what should I do so apparently vampires are real which is our real sirens are real all the mystical creatures that you read in books I don't believe them I'm not that dumb but what if it is real I felt different today she just showed me magic God this day is going by so fast apparently she'll explain it all tomorrow that I just need to get some rest and meet my roommate all she told me is that this is a boarding school for the supernatural so apparently I'm going to go meet my roommate and go to bed I walk into the room she's a girl with short black hair and bangs I don't really say hi I just smile and lay down today has been a long day and I need sleep
