Chapter 1 - o0 Chapter 1 0o

"No! Father I shall not marry that despicable rude nobleman!" "But Adelaide- He is a good sir and if you marry him it would sign a peace treaty between Us, and the Duke of Vamubis!" "No Father! I shall not!" "Then you will be confined in your room until you come back to your senses." Adelaide's father said as he walked out and slammed the door. "Ugh! I will NOT tolerate this!" Adelaide screamed into her pillow why stomping her feet onto her bed like a spoiled brat who did not get her way, but Adelaide was not naive, nor a spoiled brat and knew better to keep it down. So she stopped after a matter of 3 and a half minutes, in our sense. It would have been 350 koldbods in their sense of time. She got up, silently went to the dresser, and cut her 8 foot long blonde hair to be shorter so no one would notice, then put on her boots and shawl. She swiftly jumped off the balcony to a tree and slid down. 'I must run away' she was thinking as she ran into the forest. She tripped a few times, but soon she managed to find an opening in the forest, and decided to stop for a break. WHOOSH Adelaide swept to her feet quickly "Who's there?!" She called out. Suddenly the earth below her started to shake, and Adelaide fell down as a large shadow started emerging from the earth. It was a huge rock pillar with engravings of ancient writings and hieroglyphs. Adelaide stood up and circled around the pillar, looking at it with great curiosity. "What… is this?" She murmured under her breath. "Some of these symbols.. I recognize.. But don't recall what it says…" She continued examining the pillar all around until morning and light shone onto it. The carvings glowed gold in the sunlight and Adelaide could see them more clearly. "Wait.. I can read that?" She gasped in astonishment as she started to read it. "As the one who lies sitting on her throne, known by those unknown. Let the prophecy stay in tune. It shall pass with the new moon. Let the portal it shall bring only to open it with a ding." As Adelaide read the hieroglyphs started to glow until it was as bright as the stars. Adelaide covered her eyes and blacked out. Adelaide started to flicker her eyes "Gdkkn lhrr?" "lhrr?!??" A voice called out. Adelaide heard many voices saying things that she could not understand. She soon opened her eyes and tried to sit up when she saw a creature walking towards her. She swept to her feet in fear and backed up. "Lhrr?" the creature said. "Okdzrd zbbdbs ntq fhes ne odzbd.." The creature said handing out a small crystal gem. "W-what?" Adelaide said. The creature gasped and grabbed her. "What are you doing?!" Adelaide said trembling. The creature started to glow while Adelaide tried jerking away but the creature kept holding on to her. After a few minutes it stopped and said "Shhh don't move and don't make a noise. HE could be watching." Adelaide froze "Who? I don't see any-" The creature covered her mouth. She still couldn't see what the creature was because of a cloak they were wearing. While Adelaide stood there she took the time to actually look around her new, and lucid surroundings. She took a few glances and saw a small, trickling river, and trees. "I must be in a forest," Adelaide thought. As there were trees all around her. Before she could ask the creature about where she was and who they were the creature started running. "It's not safe here we must hurry and go." He said, running swiftfully while Adelaide kept picking up her dress with her left hand while her right hand was being pulled. While they were running Adelaide finally plucked up the courage to ask the creatures' name, but before she could ask the creature ran faster, "Anmon Palee" He said, still running. "H-how did you know I was gonna-" "Don't ask that" Anmon Said. "I am Noblewoman Adelaide Dor Lapsi," Adelaide said. Anmon stopped short. "We don't have Noblewoman here." Anmon said quite coldly. "So you are just Adelaide Lapsi now. We are here." Anmon said, stopping in front of a waterfall. "But this is a waterfall?" Adelaide said. Anmon extended his hand and the water parted. "W-wait how did you-" Adelaide started "I'll explain inside" Anmon said pulling Adelaide inside. Inside the waterfall was a small homey cave, with a bed, fireplace, small kitchen which looked like it was not used very often, a table, and a couch. Anmon gently set Adelaide on the couch and took off his cloak. He had beautiful Indigo hair that faded into cerulean blue and deep, ocean blue eyes with tan skin. He was not human that was for sure. "W-what are you?" Adelaide asked. "What are you?" Anmon said simply while putting a small tea kettle above a fire. "Well- I am a human which is plain to see but what are you for you are not a human." Adelaide said slowly. "Why are you making this so complicated?" Anmon said. "Humans do not belong here. And if they do they are called namuh." "But Anmon, Namuh is just Human spelled backwards?" Adelaide pointed out. "Please tell me where I am though if you can not tell me what you are." "I am a Lfe. And you are in another dimensional universe inside a multitude of stars in your universe." Anmon said simply, watching the fire and not turning his head toward Adelaide. "Nonsense. Our astronomers have studied the stars for millions of years, we have found no trace of life in the stars." Adelaide refused. "Well your "Teachers of the stars" didn't study them well enough." Anmon said a little annoyed. Anmon let out a sigh, "Look, girl, how old are you and how did you get here?" "I am 16 years old and I found a stone when running away, I read it aloud and when I woke up I was here." Adelaide said slouching down into the couch. "Stone..?" Anmon said confused. "Yes. you heard me." Adelaide said. "A stone." "I read words and blacked out." "Interesting.." Anmon said turning around. "But you shouldn't be here. My world is sacred and locked. No other being could get in here unless on extreme conditions." "Then Why am I here?" Adelaide said. "I… Don't know." Anmon said swiftly turning his head the other way to not look at Adelaide as if he was lying. "I think you should get some sleep Adelaide" "Oh, please call me Addy. And yeah- I am a little tired..." Adelaide replied back. "Ok Addy G'night" Anmon said, pouring water over the fire. "Sleep tight.." Anmon said soflty in the dark, his eyes glowing bright blue like diamonds..
