Cleo's POV
I found myself crying in Pansy's room.
Again.
This entire school year had been an emotional roller coaster for me, with too many ups, downs, twists and turns for me to count.
Pansy lightly rubbed my back up and down as I sobbed into her emerald comforter, my tears wetting it.
"Cleo, try and calm yourself down a bit." she said in a soft tone.
"Why? It's not like either of us have anywhere to go or things to do." I scoffed. I continued to cry, despite what she said about me calming down.
I put my head on her shoulder and she awkwardly patted my head, smiling through gritted teeth. I took in a deep breath when I smelled something familiar.
Draco.
I slowly lifted my head up and examined the sweater.
"This is Draco's sweater." I said in a quiet scratchy voice. A wave of realization crashed over me.
"Are you with Draco?" I asked, my voice rising.
"Erm," she began. She seemed very hesitant to answer the question.
Oh my god. She's dating Draco.
Before she could explain anything, I quickly stood up from her bed and ran out of the room. A fresh set of tears covered my dried ones.
Why does everyone hate me? Why is everything going wrong?
My vision was completely blurred, and I couldn't see anything. I stopped. Even though I wasn't moving, the world seemed to be swirling around me. I felt around for a wall, and when I felt the cold stone against my hand, I sat down.
I continuously wiped my eyes and put my hands to my sides. I felt a small lump in my pocket, and I pulled it out.
The love potion.
For weeks I had been studying Amortentia, trying to figure out how to make an effective one to use on Cedric. I wanted him to love me like he did Allison, I wanted to feel good.
At home, I was never given genuine affection. My father was always so consumed with his death eater meetings, and my mother had passed away when I was very young.
My father was a pure blood supremacist, and was a very cold bitter man. He thought that the only way to "rise above" was to be rude and mean. Of course by the way he parented, I turned out that way too.
He believed that money solved problems, so I was always given whatever I wanted. At least, what he thought I wanted.
I grew up in silence and anger, and never being able to release my emotions didn't help. I wanted love. Real, genuine, unwavering love.
I clenched the pink shiny potion in my hand, and walked to the large set of stairs around the corner. Determination coursed through my veins as I stood in front of the painting leading to the Hufflepuff common room.
"Can Minnie get Ms. Cleo anything?" a small wrinkly elf asked me.
"No." I replied rather bluntly.
The small frail creature scurried off to the corner, and I walked to the set of barrels to tap in the complicated password.
Yellow light flooded through the hallway, leading up the stairs and I followed it, running up as quickly as possible. With a loud slam I closed the door, and walked over to the couch.
Right next to me sat Cedric, who was reading a book for care of magical creatures. He looked very absorbed in this book, his sharp facial features distorting into concentration.
"Hey Ced," I began, my eyes filled with lust.
He glanced over at me, confused as to why I was talking to him. I unscrewed the silver lid to the potion in my hand and held it to my side so he couldn't see it.
I slowly inched closer to him as he drew his attention back to his book. Once I had gotten close enough, I grabbed his face and pulled it towards me, forcing the pink liquid into his mouth.
He squirmed in protest, not wanting to let the potion come into affect. But it was too late.
His pupils dilated and the shine in his eyes disappeared. He looked at me and smiled wide.
Cedric was drunk on love, his grey eyes fixated on me. He brought me into his warm arms and pulled me close, lightly kissing the top of my head. I melted to his touch, never wanting the moment to end.
"I love you so much, Cleo." he whispered into my ear, nibbling on it lightly.
I was speechless, this was incredible. He stroked my face with his hand and then pulled my face up to meet his.
For a moment, time seemed to stop. His intoxicating musky scent combined with the warmth of the room made me feel dizzy, but in the best way possible.
He slowly brought his lips closer to mine, inching in, taking in the perfect moment. Our noses touched and out lips connected, our mouths moving quickly and heavily, ravenous for eachothers touch. He brought his hands from behind my neck down my body, feeling every part of me.
He slowly started to unbutton my cardigan when a loud slam sounded behind us. Startled, I looked up behind me to see an infuriated Allison.
Her eyes burned with rage and her nostrils flared as she saw me and Cedric in eachothers arms. Her whole body was tense, her cold glare focusing on the scene before her.
With several angry strides she made it over to Cedric.
"YOU!" she bellowed, pointing her finger at Cedric. "I THOUGHT I COULD TRUST YOU!"
Her eyes began to gloss, tears of rage filling her eyes.
SMACK!
She pulled her hand away from Cedric's red, bruising cheek.
"We're done, okay?" she said in a quiet shaky voice after throwing the elegant necklace that Cedric gave her across the room.
All of a sudden Cedric cried out in pain.
"Allison wait!-" he began, but soon after Allison stormed out of the room.
He shoved me off of him and walked over to his dorm, not a single emotion displayed on his face.
Allison's POV
"He's an absolute idiot, Alice." Hermione reconciled, her arm wrapped around my shoulder.
"I knew there was something wrong with him." Ada muttered, her fists clenched in her lap.
"I just don't understand what I did to deserve this." I sobbed as warm wet tears trickled down my face.
Ada was furious to say the least
"Nothing Allison, he's just a selfish prick who doesn't know what's good for him. Next time I see him I'm gonna grab him by the-"
"Alright, I think that's enough Ada." Hermione interrupted, a nervous laugh escaping her lips.
After Cedric had kissed Cleo, I ran through the halls, trying to find Hermione and Ada. They brought me back to my dorm, and had to wrap their arms around my back to keep me stable.
We decided that we would wallow that night, plotting Cedric and Cleo's demise. Obviously I still loved Cedric. His smile, his eyes, and his complete kindness towards everybody.
The whole kindness trait wasn't displayed today.
We spent the rest of the night trying to find a reason as to why Cedric would cheat, considering that he had kissed me earlier that day.
"How will we know?" I asked.
A grin spread across Hermione's face.
"Veritaserum."
