Allison's POV
Great, the perfect start to the week. Listening to Snape rambling on about potions.
"Mudblood." I heard a voice whisper next to me.
I quickly moved my head to look at my side, and saw none other than Cleo.
"Go away Cleo." I drawled, visibly annoyed by her presence.
She scoffed and pranced away to a seat next to Cedric. My eyes narrowed.
What does she think she's doing?
She was obviously flirting with him, with the doe eyes and fluttering lashes. Oh, and don't forget the wiping off the shirt move.
He was obviously uncomfortable, flinching at her touch and giving me awkward smiles and glances.
The slight chatter in the room came to a sudden stop when Snape slammed his book on his desk.
"In today's class, we will be learning about one of the most powerful love potions -- Amortentia." Snape informed the class.
"Can anyone tell me what it does?" he asked. Cleo's manicured hand shot up, and Snape lazily turned his head to her.
"Cleo?"
"Amortentia is the most powerful love potion in existence. It smells of who you like the most." she said while linking arms with Cedric.
"It causes the consumer of the potion to fall in love with the person who gave it to them. Some of the side effects of Amortentia are extreme infatuation and obsession."
"Correct, 10 points to Slytherin." he smirked.
"I will pair you. Do not complain. Your partner is your partner."
"Cleo and Allison, Nadia and Norman..." he listed.
No, no, no. This has to be a mistake.
I looked over to Cleo and saw her with an absolutely disgusted look on her face. She wasn't too happy about this choice either.
We headed to our stations just as Snape instructed, and got to work. Cleo glanced at me, grimaced, and then went to get the materials. Her blonde hair whipped around as she hastily walked over to the cabinet, making sure not to waste any time.
I looked at the books on the table and noticed they hadn't been touched.
How does Cleo know exactly what to get?
When she placed all the ingredients on the table, I checked the book to see if they were correct. And to my surprise, they were. Cleo was no potions master, in fact at Ilvermorny she had created havoc in the potions room. Constantly blowing things up, and making foul smelling mixtures was her forte.
Her sudden new skill caused me to be suspicious, but if we made it correctly one of us could keep it.
"Since I am experienced in making Amortentia and basically conducting this potion, I get to keep it." she smirked.
What is she planning?
"Fine." I said in a rather annoyed tone, wanting to get the project over with.
"Put in the rose thorn." she directed. I carefully added the sufficient amount in, and continued on with the next ingredients.
Surely enough, we made the potion correctly and then examined it.
"Now, tell me what you smell. The smell is what you love the most, or your greatest desire." he announced to the class.
I used my hand to waft the scent of the potion to my nose, and smelled one of the most comforting smells.
Cedric.
It smelled strongly of vanilla, like a bakery when you just walk in. The scent of a smoky fire on a summer night, and the smell of freshly chopped wood.
I looked over to my side to see Cleo sniff the potion, and then smirk back at me.
What was she planning?
She then glanced dreamily over at Cedric, sending him goo goo eyes and fluttering lashes.
Did she smell him? He's mine, what does she think she's doing?
I glared over at her and furled my lip, my teeth showing slightly.
I hate her.
Cleo's POV
I let my nose go over the cauldron to smell the potion, my heart racing. My nose filled with a familiar scent of Mahogany, green apples, peppermint, and expensive men's cologne.
What? Why am I smelling Draco?
Infuriated, I decided to make Allison mad. That always brought me joy.
I pretended to be extremely excited, and glanced over at Allison with a smirk to make sure she was watching me.
I then turned over to Cedric and gave him doe eyes, trying to let him know that I "smelled him".
Cedric gave me a quick look of confusion and then turned back to his partner. I was excited that the potion was now mine. All mine.
Cedric's POV
The scent of cake and frosting drifted into nose, and I felt at home. I knew I would smell Allison, but for some reason it still surprised me.
I love her, I have to tell her about this.
It felt as if class ended as soon as it started, and I headed out of it as soon as I could. I raced after Allison, too excited to contain myself. I wrapped my arms around her and buried my head in her hair.
"Hi." she giggled.
"I have to tell you something, love." I mumbled into her head.
"And what is that?" she asked, sounding a bit more serious now.
"I smelled you in my Amortentia." I grinned, my cheeks aching from smiling so hard.
"Me too." she replied, her cheeks flushed a deep pink. I wrapped my arms around her waist, admiring her lovely scent. She looked up at me through her long, thick eyelashes, her eyes fixated on mine.
Allison's POV
I smirked as I pulled his face closer to mine.
"I'm all yours." I whispered.
His eyes widened.
"Oh really," he replied. He gave me his signature lop sided grin.
"Then am I allowed to do this." He asked raising an eyebrow. He lifted me up, and I soon felt the cold brick against my back. He smiled, looking down at me and ran his warm hands down my sides.
His lips slammed against mine with a fiery passion I had never seen in him before. At the Yule ball he was so gentle, but not this time. In his eyes was hunger and yearn for me, he only was like this around me.
I paused and pulled away.
"You know how I said I'm all yours.." I began.
Confused, Cedric nodded his head.
I pulled him by the collar of his shirt and whispered into his ear "I should've emphasized that you're all mine."
His eyes widened as I went back in for another kiss, desperate for more.
We stopped for a second and smiled, both of us really out of breath. I looked down at the ground when I felt his finger pull my chin back up. He kissed me again.
His hands cupped my face, as I glided my hands through his silky hair. I rested my hands at the back of his neck, it was perfect.
His lips continued to envelop mine when he lifted me from the wall. We kept moving farther away until we heard the soft clicking of footsteps behind us.
I slowly pulled away from the kiss and looked him in the eyes, the passion from the previous moment still lingering.
"Cedric?!" was the name I heard from a faint voice coming around the corner. I break the kiss and look behind Cedric. The only person I see standing there is Cleo.
Cedric turned his head after me with a look of more than annoyance. A single tear escaping her baby blue eyes. Her glossy lips were parted from shock and she stood there, almost paralyzed.
"Cedric?" she asked in a shaky voice.
"I thought we had something!"
After what she did to me in potions class and even before that I didn't even have the slightest bit of sympathy towards her. Just to spite her, I turn back towards Cedric continuing the intense kiss we had started.
I lightly pulled him by the collar of his white button up back towards the wall and pressed up against him, claiming Cedric as mine. The kiss continued, our mouths moulding with one another as our hot heavy breath fanned against each other.
Tears began to fall down Cleo's rosy cheeks as she covered her mouth with her hand. Her black flats clicked against the floor as she ran away, an endless stream of sobs escaping her lips.
Once she had left our view I finally stopped pulling, only so we would have a chance to breathe.
"You're a good kisser when your annoyed." He smirked, breathless.
"You're not to bad yourself." I smirked back.
"You know, I was hoping we would actually be able to move farther than 5 steps though." He added.
"Me too." I replied with the smirk still plastered on my face.
We ended up walking back to the common room with his arm over my shoulders, silly smiles plastered across our faces.
