Yumiko felt off. Her body felt weightless. Was she airborne? No, not anymore. There was no pain, no sound, nothing. It was surreal.
She could see people panicking as she lay on the pavement. The child that she saved was clinging to its mother nearby. That was good. However, was she dying? The world was getting fuzzier even as she thought about it.
At 29 years old, Yumiko Aikawa passed away. Her life had been rather bland and uneventful. She had a simple childhood. Reading books, studying, and doing simple things to pass the time. She graduated college with a marketing degree and has spent her time since busting her butt for her company.
Did she have regrets? Yes. The darkness consumed her and she thought that was it.
When Yumiko woke again the light was blinding her. Pain shot through her head as memories forced their way to the surface. They aere not her memories... but whoever shared them was far worse off in their life than she had been. She frowned as she realized that she was in some Edo period type setting... except there was no shogunate and the bakufu were not around either. Firther back in time then? Some sort of Emperor was in power but it was not one she knew from her history books, and the names were all different for the countries she was thinking about too.
