Kyrah walked toward Jinyoung and then walked passed him. Teasing, while slightly brushing against his hands with her shoulders. Jang Mi Rae was furious. She clenched her dress in her fists, she couldn't hide her expression even the ever so proper Mrs Woo, Jinyoung's mother, was at the edge of her wit's.
Kyrah walked up to the MC and grabbed the microphone from his hands. she cleared her throat and began. I just want to say something before our beautiful bride walks in. I'm so happy to be here at the wedding of two horrible, no i mean two honest and true friends. Linda shouted from her seat..... wooooo and clapped which prompted other guest to start clapping and smiles soon filled the area. Kyrah continued, it was just yesterday we were just kids, playing who's the stalker. You see Jinyoung was always fond of making mistakes. He never knew who the stalker was. but well, He got me pregnant.
At that moment everyone in the crowd was shocked a sudden silence was felt all around and the cool breeze suddenly felt suffocating. Jang Mi Rae's bouquet fell from her hands it dropped down to the ground and everyone turned to look at her she looked so embarrassed and nervous.
At that moment Kyrah broke the silence. As i was saying Jinyoung got me pregnant with a lot of experience since my childhood. I mean he thought me a lot. With all what i learnt from him, i could write a life experience book and become a world renowned writer. Just so much knowledge waiting to be born. He really thought me a lot. the crowd broke out in laughter. Why did she say it like that? she's such a comedian, people murmured she even frightened the bride. Jang Mi Rae feigned a smile as she carefully picked up her bouquet. I got you right, didn't i? Kyrah said as she looked straight into Mi Rae's eye's. Well, i just wanted to say congrats to the lovely couple. Put your hands together for them she said, and everyone clapped of course except Mrs Woo, and Jinyoung who knew very well that that wasn't a joke. Mr Woo was kept in the dark about everything that happened between them Kyrah could guess, seeing how he was laughing and clapping joyously. As for Mi Rae, she didn't even know Kyrah was pregnant hence, her shock. Kyrah gave the mic back to the MC who urged everyone to stand to welcome the bride as she walked back to take her seat.
Kyrah watched them both take their vows and exchange rings. She did a good job of keeping it together to the end. She was sullen as she watched them walk back down the aisle to dance under the moonlight it was nighttime already. She looked around but couldn't find Linda so she strayed out of the wedding and walked along the sea while holding her dress with both hands. She loved the way the water brushed against her feet with every wave. Something about it was really healing, and she loved it. A smile slowly overtook her sad expression and she was feeling better.
Suddenly she felt someone forcefully grip her arm. It hurt, she was being dragged she couldn't see too well, because they were away from the lights at the wedding. she was dragged to the back of the resort were there were lights and she could finally see who it was. It was Jinyoung.
"Did you have fun"? he said looking at her angrily. You really thought i was scared by this little stunt you pulled? not one bit. You failed Kyrah, i'm not going to repeat myself. So listen when i say i'm never going to be your child's father so stop interfering with my life. Kyrah retorted i guess you really are bothered by me. Seeing how you ran to come find me in the middle of your wedding dance.
"don't kid yourself. You think dressing yourself up and coming here would make any difference"? he asked as he looked down at her. Ultimately, an ugly duckling can never become a swa.... Kyrah slapped him across the face before he could finish. What? ugly duckling? was that why you slept with me. You took advantage of me and then lied. you lied. that you love me? and that you'll take responsibility? what? i should stop interfering in your life? that's what i would like to tell you. Yes my baby isn't yours and it'll never be yours.
"You better stand by those word's Jinyoung said as he walked off."
Kyrah was devastated, and weak. What did she ever do so wrong to deserve this? she squatted down and broke into tears. She cried for quite a while and was about to get up because the chills were getting to her when she felt someone drop a jacket on her shoulders.
She looked up and she saw a tall, handsome man with shiny black hair who looked like he was in his mid thirties, dressed in a comfortable hoodie and jogger pants. You must be cold, he said. You can use my jacket. I have a hoodie on. Kyrah wondered if he saw her crying, no, she was even more concerned if he heard her conversation with Jinyoung. Well, judging from his clothes, he didn't look like he was a guest at the wedding.
Kyrah got up and said, thanks for the jacket. As she was about to leave, she was held back by the stranger. Can you at least tell me your name? i'm sorry, i was so out of it hi i'm Lee Kyrah she said as she extended her hand for a shake. He shook her hand and introduced himself. I'm kang Seo Jun. Nice to meet you. You're a... foreigner? he asked quite carefully. No i'm not. exactly, Kyrah answered. My dad's Korean and my mum's American. okay, before he could talk further Kyrah cut him. I really need to go now i'm with a friend and she must be waiting.
Okay, can i walk you to.... wherever your friend is? he asked shyly. Okay, Kyrah said as she looked at him. I need to give back your jacket anyway.
They both walked to where Linda's car was parked Kyrah laughed all through the walk. Seo Jun was a funny one he kept on making jokes that made Kyrah forget all her problems. soon enough they arrived at Linda's car. Linda had been waiting she was worried. What took you so long, Kyrah. I kind of got lost. Kyrah lied. You got me so scared .Linda said in a relieved tone of voice. By the way, who's this? oh sorry Linda, we met back at the resort he lent me his jacket. He's Seo Jun. Seo Jun, Linda. My bestfriend, at this point she's my family. Nice to meet you Linda. Likewise Seo Jun thanks for lending her your jacket i was worried she might be cold.
They both quickly said their goodbye's and went their separate ways. Kyrah and Linda were almost halfway home, when Kyrah realized the jacket was still on her. She hadn't returned Seo Jun's jacket.
