We are at one of the terrorists' territory and close to their hideout. But Hanawa was taken by them. They will take her as hostage and torture her for sure. I won't let that happen.
Kuzumi: Team 1 medic is on the way, Lieutenant Izaki It's time. We'll shoot the guards that took Umaki before the armored car arrives. If we've done that run and take her back to a cover then retreat immediately.
Walter: What about the sniper?
Kuzumi: We'll somehow take care of it. I know your lives are on the line but will you trust me?
Walter: Your decisions saved us lots of times, we'll go as fast as we can. Team 1 i'll recover Lieutenant Umaki! You guys cover me from right to left.
Kuzumi: Team 2 if the sniper shoots at them make sure to locate them and fight back!
"Roger that sir!"
The operation begun...
Kuzumi: Here i go!
I shot the guards.
"Damn those military dogs. Hurry u-"
"Snipers! Dam-"
I succeeded and Walter with his team recovered, it was going smoothly until.
Walter: Retreating! GO!
Kuzumi: Fire men fire!
"Sir the armored car is at full speed and it's going to demolish team 1!"
Kuzumi: Damn it all! Team 1 what's going on?!
Walter: Sir, we can't get away the armored thing is probably fetching the snipers in this area. But now they're after us. Their window is open but we can't open fire because if they spot us they'll ran over us.
Kuzumi: Okay, glad you're safe for now.
Walter: What's your command Captain?
Damn, that armored car is even shooting us and we're unable to open fire. Wait if the window is open.... damn!
Kuzumi: Walter, this another gamble but it's the only way we can win this without anyone dying.
Walter: I'm listening sir go ahead.
Kuzumi: Lure that car to us. And make sure the window opened is facing us. I'll go down and shoot the driver and the gunner, after that you stick a grenade on it and run as fast as you can to the medic point. If this plan doesn't work you run to me and we'll both die with them.
Walter: Sounds like you Kuzumi Captain. Alright, i'll do it.
Kuzumi May God guide us all.
I went down while trying to calm myself.
"Captain this is crazy!"
Kuzumi: Team 2 retreat immediately that's an order!
"Good luck Captain."
"Are we seriously leaving him?"
"It's an order let's go."
Kuzumi: Thanks men, I'll come back i promise.
"Damn you Captain! Make sure you come back!"
Kuzumi: Now then. Operation start!
I positioned myself and sending a signal to Walter he ran.
"There's the soldier! Is he doing suicide?! Shoot him follow him and ran over him!"
"He must be heading to the retreat zone."
Kuzumi: Team 1 cover him!
They open fire at the buildings.
The armored car was in my sights now, it's lock on. I just need to pull the trigger.
At that moment the time stopped as i pulled the trigger. Walter was shot on his legs and was about to get squashed by the armored car but..
Kuzumi: Throw the grenade!
Walter: Fire in the hole!
He managed to jump to a nearby pillar of a building.
I shot both the driver and gunner at their head and the armored car exploded terrorists came out burning as team 1 shoots them.
I ran over to Walter and gave him a hand.
Kuzumi: Come on man!
Walter: Thanks man, i mean sir.
Kuzumi: Retreat! Team 1 retreat!
We ran away as fast as we can...
Kuzumi: Medic team all good?
"We've all been secured."
Kuzumi: Team 2 good guys?
"Captain we're all good!"
Kuzumi: Good, now take this terrorists. Requesting for air strike...
"This is alpha 3 engaging the combat zone, commencing air strike."
The whole area got destroyed due to the air strike. We all managed to got away.
That was quite intense. But we manage to win. That operation was good, we manage to get away without deaths and we learned new information.
Few days later, there was an all out war command. Our operation will take place at the enemy's hideout. We will drive them away and end this war. Those terrorists wants to have that land as their own. They're taking it for the sake of their own people.
Kuzumi: Our squad has been assigned to keep an eye in this area.
Hanawa: According to the plan, we're going to make way for the foot soldiers.
Kuzumi: Sadly, Lieutenant Izaki can't be in this operation, but we'll have Lieutenant Umaki as the team 1's commander. Team 1 is going to keep an eye out on the ground floor. As always look out for traps. Team 2 and me are going to keep an eye out above and give orders to team 1 as they secure the area understood?
"Yes sir!"
I went to visit Walter in his room before our mission.
Kuzumi: Yo Lieutenant Izaki.
Walter: Captain? What's up?
Kuzumi: Is it wrong to visit a friend who got injured because of my gamble?
Walter: We did win that time so it's fine, if we didn't i would've kill you myself you know.
Kuzumi: I'm Captain here you know.
Walter: As always bragging your position.
We both laughed and happily teased each other. Someone knocked at the door.
Hanawa: I'm coming in.
Kuzumi: Oh Lieutenant Umaki.
Hanawa: Stop it, Kuzumi Idiot.
Walter: Umaki...
Hanawa: I heard you saved me there, thanks.
Walter: Ohhh!!! I was thanked by my goddess.
Kuzumi: Um... should i leave?
Walter: D-dont!
Hanawa: Yeah don't.
Kuzumi: I think i'll be in the way here.
Walter: Nope, wait do you like Umaki?!
Kuzumi: Who knows?
Walter: Kuzumi you-!
Kuzumi: I'm kidding. I don't plan that kind of love yet.
Hanawa: Yeah our Captain has sister complex.
Kuzumi: I don't!
We all laughed and teased each other like friends that day.
Time passed.
Hanawa: Ah, shoot the general is calling me. I'll go ahead.
Kuzumi: Oh, i see, see you around Hanawa.
Walter: See you Umaki.
Hanawa: Just call me Hanawa, Walter. After this war i've got something to tell you.
Walter: What?! This must be it right Kuzumi?!
Kuzumi: How the hell am i suppose to know?
Hanawa: Shut up! I'll go now.
Walter: See you Hanawa.
As Hanawa closed the door i saw Hanawa blushed a bit.
Walter: What's going to happen?!
Kuzumi: She might reject you completely or introduce you to his boyfriend you know?
Walter: True... damn, she is popular among the military after all.
Walter had a crying face.
Kuzumi: That's why i'll protect her in this mission and let her tell you what it is.
Walter: Yeah, i'm counting on you.
Kuzumi: I'll be going now too. See you Walter.
Walter: Good luck out there Captain... no Kuzumi. Be safe.
I waved goodbye to him, i left the room with confidence, this will end the war for sure.
The next day we're on our position. But why do i feel like this? I'm nervous i guess. My sister i will find you, if not i'll be a big brother that you can be proud of. I'll protect Hanawa in this one. Let's end this war.
