We went back to our hideout and rested.
Maika: What should we do now?
Shaina: We'll have to search for the gatekeeper.
Maika: And how will we do that?
Shaina: By tracking dark power.
Maika: Dark power?
Shaina: We spiritual beings have 3 types of power, the evil power for us devils, celestial power for angels, and dark power for the underworld beings.
Maika: I see so by tracking this underworld beings, we could find the gatekeeper?
Shaina: I'm sure that the dark lord summoned his forces here as well. To do that he'll have to open the gates and if they have to go back, we can identify the gatekeeper and find the other devils so we can enter the underworld.
Maika: I see now. By the way killings increase this year. Might be because of us.
Shaina: Not only us, the underworld beings or we call them dark forces i suppose. They have been in this world and i'm sure they're going to attack anytime if they find us.
Maika: So what's the next step in finding them?
Shaina: We've been exploring this whole place and no presence of any dark beings. Oh except that feeling i got earlier. I wonder if it's just me.
Maika: Maybe we should go back tomorrow and check it out?
Shaina: Good point.
The next day we came back to the street that Shaina was talking about. To my surprise the same salesman with his wife are going home.
"The increase of killing has grown up this year."
"You better go home earlier or i'll punch you."
"Okay sure my barbarian wife."
They sure are happy.
Shaina: Maika! Hide!
Maika: What's wrong?
Shaina: That girl... She's got the mark.
Maika: What do you mean?
Shaina: We need to retrieve her before the dark forces get her.
The salesman's wife? What is she? The salesman left their house and went somewhere.
Shaina: I'm feeling that there is another devil in here, they're hiding their presence. I can't worry about that now. We need to go inside.
A huge thunder strikes the house and 5 dark forces appeared before us.
Shaina: They found her! Switch with me quick! I must not let them take her!
Maika: Alright goodluck Shaina! Devil's blade, switch!
We ran to the house and blast our way through.
Shaina: Howling blade!
Maika: Don't hurt the girl!
Shaina: I know!
"What do you think you're doing?"
"Who are you people?"
The wife was so scared as the house burned.
Shaina: I'll get you away from this guys.
"A devil... I see, get her!"
The other 3 fought Shaina and manage to drag her out of the house. Meanwhile the salesman comes back and enters the house.
Shaina: That salesman is an idiot! Did he want to die?!
"Focus on us! dark power release! Dark charge!"
Lots of dark charged missiles approached us and Shaina cut them all.
Maika: The lady is going to get caught!
Shaina: Damn! Howling blade, burning cliff!
She cut the first one but the other two still fought us.
"Dark power, undying hands!"
Lots of creepy hands approached us and it touched my shoulder. It then turns black.
Shaina: What are you doing to a lady's skin you bastard?!
The other one uses bow...
"Bow of darkness, void arrow!"
As Shaina tries to cut the other one he shot the arrow to us. Shaina slashed it but it disappeared.
Shaina: What the?!
And both of my arms were pierced with arrows. It hurts, i lost too much blood although i regenerate quickly.
Shaina: Howling blade! Satan's blow!
As she slashed it the whole street burned and the people evacuated.
Shaina: Howling blade, striking volcano!
She slashed through all the arrows and hands of the dark forces.
Maika: The people are all evacuated.
Shaina: Where's the lady?
Maika: Go inside the house!
Shaina: Howling blade, blazing slash!
Shaina manage to get inside the house and saw the reaper take the salesman's life. His wife was taken by the other one.
Shaina: Not letting you!
Maika: Wait! This guys looks like trouble!
"This devil..."
The guy with blade on his hands. Passes through us and...
"Dark blade, black cut."
In one blink, he cut my arms and legs.
Shaina: Damn you! Devil's flame, combining ashes!
My arms and legs suddenly restored and we immediately pursued the reapers.
"Oh wait, I'll return this things to normal so no catastrophe happens ahead of us. Dark reaper, soul's reunite."
The whole burning thing was restored to normal so as the people. I think this guy brainwashed the people as well to forget what happened.
"Bow of darkness, reign of black arrows!"
As the guy shoots us with his arrow. Shaina slashed through everything and do whatever it takes to get the woman but...
"Devil, you're too weak to face us right now. Dark reaper, soul slash."
As the reaper slashes the woman suddenly let herself get slashed by the reaper.
"Damn this woman! The dark lord isn't going to be happy if her soul was slashed heal her!"
Shaina: I'll have her! Evil presence, volcano!
"That won't work on me! Dark sword, thousand blade slash!"
He slashed my arms and Shaina was almost drained of her evil power.
"Quickly go in!"
They escaped with the lady and Shaina ran out of evil power.
Maika: Switch...
Shaina was out of power. She only regenerated my arms. We were in a mess.
Maika: Did you manage to track the gatekeeper?
Shaina: I remembered his presence. But we'll need to get stronger to face those guys.
Maika: They're stronger than you i see.
Shaina: I was in this body so i couldn't use my full potential. I would've burned them into pieces if you weren't so weak.
Maika: That lady saved us though.
Shaina: I guess so.
Maika: We'll need to train more and get stronger.
Shaina: Starting tomorrow we'll have you eat more souls.
Maika: You need to recover first you know.
Shaina: No i'll train you so you can use my full power.
Maika: So, i haven't mastered you yet.
Shaina: Yes, that's why we failed.
Maika: I'll get stronger and use you properly.
They manage to get away and we fell to the ground, we failed to retrieve the chosen one.
